  • Military action, Good Morning Vietnam...
This little early morning adventure flight from Lien Khuong International Airport in the central highlands of Vietnam takes place in the famous Bell UH 1H helicopter, which is best known from the Vietnam War and films such as Apocalypse Now.
The destination is one of the former largest Special Forces camps of the United States Army in the early 1960s, the Buon Brieng SF Camp Airfield.
Military advisors and people from the region who used to fight for the US forces against the North Vietnamese troops lived there.
The strangest scene in this anti-war film for me was when this lieutenant colonel squadron leader attacks a Vietnamese village and uses big speakers on one of the helicopters as he descends onto the village from the air and plays ‘The Ride of the Valkyries’ by Richard Wagner.
This is crazy because Wagner's music is about the dead warriors being taken to the ancient Germanic warrior heaven called Valhalla.
This Lieutenant Colonol in his craziness is also totally into surfing and that's why the surfboards are attached to the helicopter so he can surf....
Credit goes to me for my material and on RUclips to:
Trondheim Symfoniorkester & Opera with ‘Richard Wagner: Die Walküre - Ride of the Valkyries’
    and also to
Razzmattazz with ‘Razzmattazz - Big Rip - Official Lyric Video’
