It's crazy this is exactly my struggles. I have been hurt so much by everyone that it is so hard to trust God sometimes, even though i KNOW He is trustworthy. It is so hard to trust people too. I keep getting hurt.

So easy to say, so hard to live out. I've never physically left my family, but sometimes, inside, I run away. Sometimes I don't bring my heart, but hide it.
The risk of fearlessly loving is the risk of getting hurt 💔, the risk of loss- but as the leader in my home, that is what Jesus calls me to do.

Walking in Inwood Hill Park, sun shining, wind blowing, water shimmering, herons, mallards and geese sharing the inlet, I heard this song. Specifically I heard the words which spoke directly to me, my heart and my hope. It may not be where everyone is, but it is where I have been, where my struggles reside and the path I am on:
