I didn't get too many people in the video here, but believe me, there were dozens of people awaiting the A380's arrival at its gate here, both out on the airfield and inside the gate, now that the waiting area has new, massive windows. After the plane bl9cked in, there was a steady stream of people stopping by to take photos. It's a celebrity here and we're getting it daily now, for at least the next year. There's people that refer to it as the WhaleJet, Forehead Jet, SkyPig, etc., but I think we're all excited to see it.
@@anthonylovett9652 Oh, this one wasn't live, I just uploaded it as soon as I got back to my office, haha. I don't know if I can go live - company policies and whatnot.
I tried looking for this flight as I tracked it on flightradar24 and I missed it by about seconds or probably wouldn’t have been able to see it anyway. I was mini golfing just off IL RT 64 which happens to be near O’hare where I sometimes would be driven on the way there to catch flights.
Winds are supposed to be out of the Southwest around the time it lands today, so they're landing on the 9s and 10s today...try heading to the corner of Gateway Rd/York Rd in Bensenville, you'll see it right there. Download the FlightRadar24 app for best results. This isn't an exact science, they do switch the runways around.
@@jcshobbiesandrecreation5873 Excellent, I glad you got to see it. I see it landed on RWY 10C so you had a perfect view of it, hopefully. Lately, they have been landing not only on 10C/28C, but also 9C/27C further North. FlightRadar24 and LiveATC are great tools to figure out where it will be landing.
Should be landing on RWY 28C today, as usual. Go to Mannheim and Montrose, make a turn onto Montrose going West into the airport - take the 2nd left turn into the Gate Gourmet parking lot, you'll see it from there. ETA today according to FlightRadar24 is 13:14 (1:14pm)
Also, get a job at the airport. You'll see all sorts of planes out here and you can take all the pictures you want so long as it doesn't interfere with your work. I delayed my lunch break an hour for this and ate my sandwiches while I sent some emails an hour or so after taking this video.
I swear I heard trumpets! He's King! Amazing arrival shots!
Amazing catch! Great to see the King of the Skies back at ORD!
I'm going to London in two weeks and was delighted to find out that this bad boy will be my ride home!
I can't wait.
amazing catch
Glad they are coming back
Fantastic video man!! :D
Awesome video man!
I would like to hear the local comments on such a beautiful looking plane as the Airbus A380. I am from the UK, and would love to have your comments.

@@ChicagoAirportSpotter Sorry thought it was a live feed. Will there be another upload, then
@@anthonylovett9652 I have countless other videos of all sorts of aircraft waiting to be uploaded, no time-frame, though. I'll post as I can.

We barely made it to the spot where we watched the landing, I mean BARELY. It'll be here daily for a while.
@@ChicagoAirportSpotter Nice! And good timing! That’ll be awesome that it’ll be there for a while.
I see there is an A380 inbound landing at 1:19 today. Where could I go to watch this one come in ?

How do I get those seats? And does anyone know where the approach is from today, 6/3? Tia

That's the same A380 I recorded at DFW.
