How's the idea of using Kitava's Thirst instead of poet's pen. It free a weapon slot and allow you to trigger weapon socket spell.

I think the beyond nodes with the factions are worth it but it depends on what's their natural chances to appear and wiki doesn't say anything about that. If it's all the same then going for currency is gonna be great generic extra drops. The cards are probably also great if you play on the good card maps. And if you're MFing it's probably worth to go for all three no matter what and tbh going for that much map effect and deli is quite some quantity.
I been thinking about bow spec, it relays on totems damage, atm i am doing 30k per totem at the end of this season, but I am also still new player to POE and still learning the way of crafting better and better weapon and all. But placing 6 totems down with 30k dmg atm grants 180k dmg before getting better gear. and best thing about this style I am liking is no reflect dmg will kill me. doing high poison / chaos really does get around those shields and all. I am Noob and learning is the key to this game on how to do things.

May I suggest that you rush to Unwavering then take Jun? It is what I will do. The 20 Atlas tree points are more valuable in time I think than the %chance to get Jun. those 3-4 points+map drops will not make a huge difference at the end, but for those who rush….maybe. What do you think?
nah.
If it takes 20 points to reach unwavering (i didnt calculate so i dont know exactly) then that means your first 4 maps you have nothing, from maps 4 to 24 you have Jun, at 24 you unlock unwavering +20. So that means you have the 40% Jun for 20 maps or 8 Jun encounters
If you instead rush unwavering, points 0-20 do basically nothing, and then you can unlock Jun and a bunch of other stuff at map 20 when you get the +20 bonus.
So over a course of 24 maps you have the option of 8 Jun encounters or 4 maps with extra juice in them. You're passing up 8 Jun encounters just to make 4 maps drop more stuff.
I was definitely going to do a detonate dead, but I like what you said about the necromancer version. Fast and tanky is my jam

Do you recommend Elements list DD for a new player? All the builds I checked seems boring but that's the only one it have more than 1 button it seems and it's somehow interactive
It's squishy, Necro DD is objectively better rounded build.
U could just play wave of conviction elementalist it’s way more beginner friendly

Basically if you have the dps to play dd the explosions carry your dps and the free spread just isn't worth it. Not to mention how squishy it is.
Imo yes its playable for a new player. Not squishy at all I was able to farm simu a bit and transition in juiced wildwood. Armor, capped evasion, capped suppress etc...
I don’t know what build you guys are playing but Elementalist DD is not squishy at all.

@@FubzyMC Yes and no. He said Ben's version for ssf HARDCORE because it's more tanky than Elementalist, but for SOFTCORE SSF Elementalist by that logic is still better because it doesn't matter if you die here and there.

Was thinking zoomancer what does it excel at farming? Only ever did poison srs as a minion build before.

T17 maps do not scale monster health for DD so that's a bit of a nerf i guess

Where exactly are those ignite DD pob's that get dot cap easily?
The highest DPS DD pob i've ever seen had like 15 mill.

Generally speaking, it doesn't. The currency required to do that would be much more effective on a different build, say LA deadeye or eb inquis. DD shines because it's fairly tanky , good at most content, requires nearly 0 gear for damage, and scales into reds by default. It is not a dot cap Uber farmer, it's a great league starter but it's qol is low as fuck and fishing for corpses feels like ass.
I reached like 20 mil last league with it but I invested like all my currency in it. I could push it higher maybe 25 mil - 30 mil but I would lose a lot of qol. At 20 mil i had forbidden flesh/flame for shaper of storms (ez shock) and a curse on hit ring for the explode charm (rip). With polaric devastation or a simplex you can push the dps way higher.

Question: I have only played standard in POE... do I have have to belong to a league(or clan or whatever) to play in this league. Something I never understood.

@@misterinadequate3518just make sure you select the league option when creating a character- that's all no cost/requirements at all! You'll know youve picked the right option when in the 3rd zone in act 1 you see the league mechanic

I feel daring, ill start LA Ranger.
Hexblast feels really really good .. until you want to do t16 full juice deli .. and even with 150-200 d investment felt a bit off dmg and resists. Till than is really nice ! I am adding this comment because we will want to do t17 and ubers this season .. (you can change the build to kill bosses even better already having a miner but.. than you will have to change again when you want to zoom in maps ..) for casual players please try you wont get disappointed )

I was on board with the 20 free atlas points keystone until they revealed the new scarabs. Some of them seem too crazy to pass up.
When you are farming t14+ maps sure, but early on getting +20 will grow your map sustain significantly. I'm keeping it until I have like 90% atlas cleared.
People are forgetting that things in maps take time. % chance early league doesn't matter so much, just have 50% chance and do 2 maps just as fast.

Very good with nimis, mediocre before that. Champ and trickster are both great. Trickster needs ephemeral edge sword and some essences of woe for ES gear and can start. Later on you want the lightning damage is lucky amulet. Champ wants perserverance belt, beltimber and dreamfeather. Beltimber might be expensive earls on. I played both last league. Both can uber. Both want nimis asap.

@@peaches_qt Easy is hard to judge, as I don't know how good you are. But I did it, so both carry you atleast a bit. Biggest problem is that you have to stay in semi melee range for the returning projectiles to hit the boss. And that often means dps, or dodging and both can't facetank ubers. Maybe with mirror investments. They are also a bit weaker than last league, due to the sniper's mark nerfs. I wouldn't call champ, or trickster, a bosser, but a great allrounder, that can do ubers.
As for blight, every char can do blight on the right map. I would say don't run legion and breach. Also not sure about simulacrums, but the rest works just fine.

Agree that Rog is going to be so strong, but if it pans out that scarabs are valuable, it might be worth target farming scarabs.

If you are farming Expedition you farm Rog. It has always been that way. Nothing has changed

I just thought that since Sushi mentioned farming Rog, then something must've changed for him to be better than before.
his new video goes over it, but in short Rog has a higher chance to put mana on gear than most other mods (due to weighting) and archmage builds are going to be prevalent

Ignite dd does not hit dot cap easy. Nowhere near as easily as you would on ea for example. Even worse now without the corpse life charms. The only nice part is that it's a hybrid brand build so on bosses you can hit a good ignite and keep refreshing it with arcanist brand curse and run around.
Looks like the league is just crafting rares? Did I miss somthing or is that it? Cuz that seems pretty shit after about 2-3 weeks besides jewelry and gloves if it can’t do influenced/temple mods and stuff.

Ice Shot falls off hard and you need a physical bow for it to shine because you convert your damage to cold. But when you get that bow, you can equip TS and Ice Shot is useless

Nah, there are so many people generating trans gems league start and no one has currency so they are really cheap. Like every character ends up generating 4 trans gems through the 4 labs.

Bossing on a budget is done with mines/traps. It will get you there, but it won't be fast, nor efficient. It's not a bait, but it's gated behind MTX investment.

Because they didn't test ea and just take you to zizaran (hc ssf player). Elementalist is better
Elementalist is king for it. Easy 36 million dps with just a budget of 20 divine in trade. I obliterated Ubers in SSF with it. It requires no gear at all

dont forget you need a mtx for desecrate in order to run coc dd, takes my fps from 110 to 35 with no mtx. its 130 points.

Well, they are the top since a long time ago. I see no bait here...
EA Champ/Elemenatlist , Hexblast Mines, Lightning Arrow, Penance brand, Icicle Mines, Archmage (WIP), lances energy blade setup and like 4 different insanely strong DD variants. Yes these are my recommendations if you want to have a successful league start. How are any of these controversial?

Don't play it, just because it's incredibly strong, doesn't mean there aren't other excellent options

It’s just making me angry that GGG are nerfing some gems that are not really that strong, doing nothing with most underperforming ones, zero changes to melee that are at really bad state but they let DD stay clearly broken and overpowered shit for so long
