    I have been baking so many times of the banana cake , once I finished watching the video , I knew this was the recipe I was looking for , she used the oil to mix with the flour first was the wise idea , and whisked the eggs in the last part in order to make the cake so fluffy.
    Really smart ! Today I baked with half more portion of the ingredients, but I cut down the brown sugar in 80g. And need to bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The cake is nice !!!! I give her a 👍

    Thank you teacher for your recipe. Today I replaced plain flour with cake flour and cut sugar by about 15% to 114g. It came out fine! It’s still soft and light. Your recipe never disappoints ☺️.

    Tried it today and it turns out really well - soft and spongy! I cut the sugar to 100g so that it’s not too sweet for me and it was perfect. Added extra walnut and banana slices on top, amazing.

    i have attempted on this few days ago. it came out perfectly. Not a sweetooth person here so i deducted the amount of sugar and oil as well.
    modifications that i made while making this cake :
    sugar - from 135g to 60g.
    oil (I used canola oil) - 170ml to 100ml.
    also, I added milk into my batter instead of condensed milk.
    my family member loved it. thank you :)

      Can i use full cream milk with little lemon instead of condensed milk? And also use cake flour instead of APF?

    I use 75g eggs so instead of 5 i used 4 eggs. And it turns out light n fluffy. And you know what?? I did the 2nd batch on same day!! Cos the first batch was gone in a short period of time doesn’t even last for 30mins when its still warm!! My kids n husband love it and goes well with coffee or tea during this rainy days in Singapore 🇸🇬 and Thank you for sharing 😊😊

    Tried it last weekend. Reduced sugar to 80g. Turned out really nice. Very moist and soft. This recipe is a keeper. Buy I would add another banana next time. Amp up the banana flavour!

    Thanks for this recipe, tasted very soft baked out ...I change the condensed milk to fresh milk add honey, banana added more than 5, brown sugar mix molasses sugar lesser put in around 100g ...baked out is very very soft inside but tasted so yummy ...eat non stop ☺

    I tried the recipe! Super soft and yummy. Reduced the sugar a bit. It was a bit brown and almost burned at the 40’ minute. I will bake it in 35’ next time. All in all, it was perfect to me.

    Thanks for the recipe, i just finished baking and i did it. This is the 2nd time i made with your recipe but i added 3 tbs plain flour coz it made the cake not to moist and less sugar. But still delicious. My mom like it.

    Very good recepi. Tried yesterday, came out with soft and tasty banana cake. I cut the sugar to half and oil to 110ml, to reduce some sweetness.

    I have never been successful with sponge cakes. This one was a success! So soft and springy. The sweetness level is just right. I find other cake recipes are often too sweet to my liking. I also added vanilla extract. Hubby loves it too. Thank you Madam Kathrine for your recipes and tutorials. I will try other recipes too. God bless you.

    I made the cake tonight, followed everything exactly per your recipe except the sugar and oil. I reduced the sugar from 135g to 80g and oil to 100 ml (original is 170 ml). The taste is good but it is still too oily. I will have the oil further reduced next time.
    Your recipe is too heavy in sugar and oil.

    Ived been searching in yt of a good banana cake recipe and all that will pop up are banana bread,although some of the recipe title is banana cake but i know that it is a banana bread(denser than a cake)ived been baking banana bread with diff recipe here thats why im looking for a soft banana cake recipe and thanks i stumble upon your channel bec this is the one that i am looking for.ATM my cake is still in the oven(your recipe)since i dont have condended milk i subtitute it with two tbsp fresh milk.i use canola oil .

      Lim Poh Hoon I don’t like sweet thing so sugar from 135g I cut till 60g. The taste just good to me. Coz banana itself already sweet. So depend on you ... if you like little sweet than maybe you can put 80g-90g.🤗

    I reduced to 100g white sugar, used 25g condensed milk, and 100g melted butter but realised the butter was insufficient to mix with the 220g flour. I also underwhipped my eggs. The egg mixture wasnt as thick like yours so mine was a bit more watery. I had trouble folding and whipping the final batter, it became pretty runny. Sadly my end result ended up as banana kueh… it smells and tastes good though!

      you can substitute half of the oil with melted butter. Sugar stabilises the eggs, cutting down too much will cause the batter to be runny.

    Make the cake this morning. It was rising nicely while baking but sink after removing from oven. And bottom part is wet & dense. What did I do wrong?

    Just a small question, why does my cake look dense on bottom whereas the top part is fluffy and good ?

      If your batter didn't deflate, then the bananas sank to the bottom. Try mashing them till fine.

    试了这个配方,有点甜不过很好吃,只是很可惜不知道为什么蛋糕沉底了😞 鸡蛋也打发到视频里面的程度.. 希望下次可以成功
    Tried this recipe and it turned out to be a little bit too sweet, but overall is nice. I beat the eggs until fluffy (like those in the video) but don’t know why there was a denser layer below.
