Great comparison, Gregg! I lean towards the MTL, but the MTH is very nice also. If you ever get a chance, try a 22" K Con Medium. I have had great luck with those. They offer a little more clarity and stick definition and you can crash them. Nice set up!
That’s become one of my top choices in the months since making this video (and my other video comparing additional rides). Somehow it still has good stick definition, which you can hear in a full mix, despite the overall low pitch.
really like that medium thin high as a crash in a high-volume situation. super bright with a lot of cut

Yes, I think you're right about the K Con Medium. I totally want to try one of those.
Many thanks for the comparison. They both sound great. My preference is for the Constantinople 20" low thin.
Same here.
Nice! I use my medium low as a crash over my ride with 18'' K Dark Custom crash as main. Perfect tonally together.
I prefer the darker sounding Constantinople low....but, that's just me. Great video!

Thanks for this comparison
I have MTL weight approx 2040 g as my main ride and start to think maybe it's too heavy for a medium ride.
Interesting. That’s definitely heavier than mine. But I bet it sounds great!
@@schmargle Thanks for your kind words. I'm considering a 22" MTH to compliment my 20".
I wouldn't think 2040 grams is too heavy in a cymbal with a low profile.
To me...2000ish grams is medium thin...an A or sabian HH medium 20 is in at 2500 grams
thin high is better for me
MTH for crash crash/ride, MTL for ride.
