Don't say 'everyone,' Sir. You haven't been to every church in India. In my experiences, Calvinists are very less in India. Those that believe in 'once saved always saved' are few in India. That's why, those that are into the doctrine of calvinism and free grace think that most people are into works salvation, as I used to think too coz most churches I have been to preach that you can lose salvation by sinning.
It seems to me that many have the thought that they are amongst the few who know the truth, whether they are Calvinists, Arminians, Hypergrace sects, etc.

It "seems" that 34 people and yourself do not have the gospel.
"This is an unspeakably wonderful truth-our ACQUITTAL,our FORGIVENESS- is not a flimsy sentimentality in God,nor is it a SHALLOW CLAIM OF HUMAN WORTH. It is the massive rock of God's unswerving commitment to uphold the worth of HIS OWN GLORY,to promote the praise of HIS holy name and to vindicate HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. The GOD CENTEREDNESS OF GOD is the foundation of HIS GRACE TO THE UNGODLY. If God were not committed first to vindicate the worth of HIS OWN GLORY,there would be NO GOSPEL and no hope, for there would be no GLORIOUS GOSPEL."-John Piper "The Pleasures of God: Meditations on God's Delight in Being God."

    • @OpenAirOutreach

kmsharley75 The gospel is NOT that we are justified by imputed works of the Torah! The idea that Christ obeyed the law for us so His "righteousness" is imputed to us and we are consequently justified, is nothing more than justification by works-righteousness. That is false. We are justified by faith. Our faith is imputed as righteousness Paul said. We are not justified or made righteous by works of the Torah - either done by ourself or by Christ. We are forgiven by His blood and righteous by our faith in Him.
You quote from Piper but Piper is a Calvinist and Calvinism is a denial of the gospel - that Christ has died for all men and that salvation is available for all through Him, which all men can receive if they will freely choose to repent and believe.

May God bless Christians from both sides and open up our eyes to see that through faith in Christ death on the cross and the power of His resurrections Galatians 2:16, NIV: "know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified." When we are justified in Christ we are united with Christ according to Calvin. or / and when justified according to others, God' restores his relation to us through Jesus Christ who lives in me. Being united with Christ, not having a righteousness of my own and having Jesus living through me makes this issue is less important . May God Bless you Jesse Morrell. I enjoy your work on the streets. This man is right. Christ didnt come as a disobedient son, to tell us that he has dethroned God and to no longer listen to God the Creator. And that we are now free to sin willfully because he says so. But He came to teach and show us how to walk in righteousness according to the will of God. Thats why he came in flesh to show us that in flesh w the help of the Holy Spirit we can too.

I have a few simple questions to those who made their comments under this topic: 1) When one asks God to forgive him of all known and unknwonn sins, will God forgive him and make his slate clean and thus become perfect from any sin at the moment of asking the forgiveness? 2) When Jesus repeats the old testament command when He said ‘be holy for I am holy” (referring to the words of the Father Himself when giving the commands through Moses) and Himself says “be perfect for your Father in heaven is perfect”, is that something that He meant literally? 3) When Jesus said “him whom the Son sets free is free indeed”, did Jesus mean a literal freedom from the bondage of actual sinning or just a theme to believe but doesn’t really happen at all? 4) When Paul in Galatians 5:19-21 and elsewhere declared that anyone living in the flesh nature (ie, sexual immorality, impurity, indecency, idolatry, withcraft, etc) as he warned before, that they will not inherit the kingdom of God (referring to gentile Galatian believers in Jesus), was he just saying it for no real consequence? 5) When Jesus said in Revelation chapters 2-3 who warned 5 of the 7 churches that if they do not repent from sins that He identified among them, was He therefore not serious about the consequence of being spat out from His presence or receive His wrath or that their names be removed from the book of life? 6) How does a christian ethic supposed to be different from any unbeliever if there is no real and actual righteous behavior or an actual rebirth or being reborn or born anew if both struggle the same sinful things? 7) Is God a deceiver, unjust, unrighteous, or author of sin (as Calvinism declares) that He punished severely the Israelites in ancient times who though they believed in Him but walked in rebellion against His Laws and commandments but now ‘lo and behold’ christians are free from obeying His Laws and commandments? 8) Are we suppose to obey His Laws and commandments? 9) Are we suppose to obey the dietary laws and feasts of God that He commanded ages ago as an everlasting command or have christians now really decided to no longer bother His commandments and laws since His righteousness is “imputed” on the christians? 10) Is grace suppose to teach and train us to say no to ungodliness as Titus 2 teaches? How does a christian really supposed to live a holy , blameless, faultless, righteous life if he continues to live in active sinful repetitive life on top of unknwn or unintentional sins? 11) How do you read James 1:1-4 which says “...so that you may be perfect and complete”? 12) How do you read James 1:25 which say “those who look intently into the perfect Law, the Law that gives freedom, and continues in it ...”?

It's always better to ask questions than to assume a brother is in deep error.
For example when I hear my brother Jesse say that he is not a sinner, I understand
what he means and that is that he has forsaken his known sins, has repented and hates
the sins that so easily beset him. Through the process of sanctification he will overcome
many of his besetting sins and when his life ends here on earth, the Lord in His grace and mercy
will account him righteous though perfection was never reached. It is only through the imputed
or imparted righteousness of G-d will someone like Jesse or I ever enter the kingdom of G-d.

You are correct, but the reason you think we are saying different things is that you are conflating two distinct theological concepts -- justification and sanctification. Sanctification occurs following justification, and is the process whereby God inhabits us with His Spirit and makes us more and more like Him by "writing the law" on our hearts. Therefore, we are not saved "from" the law, but rather, we are saved "to" the law.

It is false converts, who have not repented of their sins and are not living righteous lives, who seek the false comfort and false peace that comes from the doctrine of "the imputed righteousness of Christ" which says that you are saved while you continue in wickedness and sin. The Bible teaches that you must repent of all your sins to be forgive, that those who are born again stop sinning, and that if you return to your sins you are once again under the wrath of God and in danger of damnation unless you repent. Forsake the false doctrine of "the imputed righteousness of Christ" and instead believe in biblical doctrines of repentance from sin, holiness of believers, conditional security, etc.

That would be consistent; same Greek word, "logizomai' (Strong's G3049). Transferred circumcision, novel idea.

This is what happens when you start listening to men and stop listening to God and reading his word
    Romans 4:11-13,16,21-25 KJV
And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also: [12] And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised. [13] For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. [16] Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, [21] And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. [22] And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. [23] Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; [24] But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; [25] Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
    Galatians 2:16-21 KJV
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. [17] But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. [18] For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. [19] For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. [20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. [21] I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Jesus did not become sin. The idea that God forsook Jesus because He could not bear to look at Him is false. The same word for sin in 2 Cor. 5:21 was translated as "sacrifice for sin" in Heb. 10:8. That concept fits very well here. If he actually became a sinner for us, then He would not have been an acceptable offering for sin, but blemished. No, He bore sins just like He bore our sicknesses (Mt. 8:17). This does not mean that He became sick for us, but that He took them and carried them away from us. @@emetechad4621

Here is what the Bible says about imputed righteousness. I wish youtube didn't eliminate the "bold" formatting, since it could be used to highlight what we wanted to make sure people saw in the text.
    Romans 4:1
¶What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 ¶But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
9 ¶Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
The whole passage is about imputed righteousness, and includes several places where it says so in so many words. I believe Abraham and Paul, not the people who are trying to deceive us into giving up this truth, no doubt so the whole world will move on out of belief in Jesus as our Savior.

Jesse, does anyone argue that a person who is living a sinful life is accounted righteous? Are you sure you are understanding people who believe in imputed righteousness? I don't believe someone who has no fruit is saved. You will know them by their fruit. However, I know for myself I couldn't be righteous. It wasn't until I was saved that I could obey God. When I was saved, I had new desires. I was a New Creation. The old me was dead. Jesus lives through me now. What do you think about this?

While I agree with most of your teachings on Calvinism, original sin, etc., on this subject of imputed righteousness, you seem to have created a straw man argument by claiming or inferring that those who teach imputed righteousness are all living unrepentant lifestyles, then you prooftext yourself into a preconceived corner so to speak. Undoubtedly the Americanized version of the gospel does present some very serious concerns and conundrums, but imputed righteousness was not born in the bosom of American Evangelicalism. In fact, it wasn't even invented by the 16th-century reformers or even as far back as Augustine of Hippo. The whole concept of the guilt and condemnation of one's personal sins being placed on another innocent being has ancient precedence as far back as Adam and Eve. In due time, Jesus came to earth as the perfect sinless Lamb of God, on whom the Father himself placed the weight of our sins:
    "He was given a grave among the wicked;
in his death he was with a rich man.
Although he had done no violence
    and had said nothing deceptive,
yet it pleased Adonai to crush him with illness,
to see if he would present himself as a guilt offering.
    If he does, he will see his offspring;
    and he will prolong his days;
and at his hand Adonai’s desire
    will be accomplished.
After this ordeal, he will see satisfaction.
“By his knowing [pain and sacrifice],
    my righteous servant makes many righteous;
it is for their sins that he suffers." (Complete Jewish Bible)
Grant it; this sublime teaching does not give us a license to willingly sin, but perfectionism (which is what is clearly being taught on your channel and website) is a twisted and distorted take on the Biblical command. Even on our best day and at the peak of our performance of Christian duties, we still fall woefully short of the glory and holiness that God demands of us. If this were not the case, then why would we even need Jesus to be our Saviour, to begin with? Don't get me wrong, I love you and your ministry. I just pray that you would repent of your unbiblical teaching of "Christian Perfectionism" and embrace the full counsel of God's word on this subject. Shalom

I understand your distinction on imputation of righteousness, it is not a transfer but a reckoning or a considering it to be so. I also understand how you equate forgiveness with righteousness. But Abrahams imputed righteousness was not connected with forgiveness of sin. We can assume he was already forgiven of sins. It would seem to me that Abrahams imputed righteousness was something in addition to forgiveness . What is your response?

What you are referring to is "Sanctification" - a Christian is "justified" before God ONLY because of the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ applied to his account, but Redemption doesnt only consist of "justification", but also "Sanctification" - the fact that a person who is justified before is also, by nature, now walking a different walk than before - this is because the Spirit of "Holiness" (who is now indwelling him) is giving him new desires, and is controlling and leading him..

These are good points, but what could also have been pointed out, which I think clarifies things, is that justification is reconciliation, which the last verse referenced stated. Jesus said “You must be born again.” This is speaking of conversion. We must be converted, and justification by faith accomplishes this. Faith in Christ does not leave us unchanged, but brings us into harmony with God. Before we did not want God or the things of God, but after being justified, the will of the Christian is “not I, but Christ.”

I am saved BECAUSE God sees my sin. If he couldn't, he couldn't forgive that sin in Christ, whom he sent to do exactly that for them that believe.
While we are on the topic of being "unrighteous in practice", I notice Jesse is living in open and unrepentant sin. For I notice that he's definitely cut the hiar at the side of his head, and his beard has definitely been trimmed. Both clear and open violations of God's commandments.

Further, when we say we believe in the imputed righteousness of Christ we are not claiming to be justified by "works" as you say. You say that we believe that the works of the Torah are imputed to us thus being justifed by works, this is not it... What justification by faith means is that Jesus fulfilled all righteousness of the Law, He offered Himself as an offering for sin. OUR sin was imputed to Him filling His soul. God the Father forsook Jesus on the cross and judged Jesus for that sin He took in. Jesus died to sin, the just for the unjust, and paid the FULL penalty for sin. Jesus is the spotless lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. As a sacrificial lamb who took our place, God's justice was satisfied so He can offer mercy and salvation while still remaining just. How can one be considered "righteous" without HAVING righteousness? It has to come from somewhere, since it does not come from us (ephesians 2:9) it must be from Jesus. (2 Cor 5:21)
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be *made the righteousness of God* [IN HIM] ."
    2 Corinthians 5:21
What is the Law? It is commandments given by God that reflect HIS character and how He would act here on this earth. This is witnessed by Jesus life during His time here on earth. The Law is the righteousness of God, we are MADE the righteousness of God "in HIM"(Jesus)[2 Corinthians 5:21]
No man is justified by works, we are justified by Jesus sacrifice. There are two parts to this; forgiveness through atonement and a legal righteous standing before God through Jesus imputed righteousness.
Jesus speaks about this righteousness in Matthew 11:11
"Verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he."
    Matthew 11:11
How can one who is LEAST in the kingdom of heaven be greater than John the baptist if he was the most righteous prophet who ever was born? Because though John was righteous, he could not match Jesus' righteousness. He that is least in the Kingdom got there through faith in Jesus and so they stand in HIS righteousness which is greater than all...

    Hi
I listened to your discourse on the imputed righteousness of Christ. I suggest that you read Isaiah 61:10. This is a doctrine that is precious to the true saints of God i.e. all those who have placed their faith in Christ alone for salvation, repented of their sin, turned from sin and by God’s grace are seeking to live holy lives. Matthew 1:20 states ‘thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Heaven is a place of perfection, we need a perfect righteousness in order to enter into it and Jesus has provided it for us by keeping God’s law perfectly. Antinomianism is an abuse of the doctrine of imputed righteousness and these people are deceived. They have sinfully laid aside the law of God which is the reflection of God’s holiness. They reason that if they are not under the law but under grace then the law doesn’t apply to them. How foolish. Genuine Christians seek to keep God’s law, not as a means of being saved but because God has saved them. It is interesting to note that the verse which they think gives them a license to sin says the opposite. If only they would read Romans 6:14 carefully. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. This verse states ‘For sin shall not have dominion over you:’ Why? for ye are under grace. How then can they say I have been saved by grace, now I am free to disregard God’s law and sin if I want to? It is right and proper to expose the deception of Antinomianism. They have turned the grace of God into lasciviousness.

Friend, if you believe your righteousness in the flesh is enough to stand before a perfect God who's standard of righteousness is perfection, than I ask you and plead with you to look again! Have you lived a life of perfection? Can you replace the perfect sacrifice of the Son of God and insert your works, which are like filthy rags before God, if their not done in spirit and truth, from the power of the Holy Spirit and from a new heart? Works are a fruit of the spirit and will be done, but we are not saved by these works! These cannot be done when one is working their way into good standing with God under their own power, and not through the perfect work of Christ as our savior first! If your works could save you than Christ died in vain! And we know he didn't! Praying for you and all who read this!

Chad Daniels I am not trying to establish my own righteousness which is of the law. I do not keep the Torah at all. I just ate ham the other day. My righteousness is my faith in Christ. It is faith in Christ that God imputes as righteousness. Abraham believed God and his faith was imputed as righteousness. It is not works of the Torah that God considers/imputes to be righteousness. It is faith that God considers/imputes to be righteousness.
The idea that you can sin every day in word, thought, and deed, and yet you are "justified" and "righteous" because Christ's works of the Torah are "imputed to you," is in fact the heresy of salvation by works of the law, and is DAMNABLE heresy.
And unless you believe that sexual desire is the "sinful nature" that we inherit from Adam, for which babies are born hell deserving sinners and in need of infant baptism to be saved, then YOU deny the doctrine of "original sin." @watch?v=XepbH0tRFLs&lc=z13vytjgrxjfstlsi22aujg4gmiif11vp@watch?v=XepbH0tRFLs&lc=z13vytjgrxjfstlsi22aujg4gmiif11vp

I agree with the Ante Nicene's, pre 300 doctrine of atonement. You forget what Attonement means in Hebrew, simply Kophar, or to cover over. The best example of this was in the garden of Eden where Christ slew the first animal, and made clothes for Adam and Eve, covering their shame. That said, the scripture is clear someone by free will choice can remove what is covering them, like a garment. Christ is our Kophar, that's it, there is no further reading into it. We repent, we ask for mercy and forgiveness, we seek him to cover the shame of our sin, or we do not. If we are walking in righteousness and being obedient to his commands, we are covered, if we are not, we are not covered. As Romans 8:1 reads. "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." meaning if you are walking in the flesh, you are under condemnation, and no longer covered by Christ as your Kophar. This was the teaching of the early Church. Calvin and sadly Luther got it wrong, the Catholic Church actually was correct by calling it a belief leading to a Antinomian heresy.

Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein ? Know ye not, that so many of us as we're baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death ? But imputed righteousness IS BIBLICAL. The wrath of God is satisfied for those WHO TRULY BELIEVE IN CHRIST AND ARE BORN AGAIN OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, but for those who don't, the wrath of God still abides.
    2Th 1:8-9

The atonement is the means through which we are justified or pardoned, not Christ's obedience to the Torah. We are not justified by works. Justification is a gracious act, not an act of justice. Christ's obedience to the law was a condition of His atonement, through which we are pardoned or justified. But He did not fulfill our personal obligation. Paul affirmed after the atonement that we are obligated to the law of love. Our obligation remains.

  • @Hebrew42Day
    @Hebrew42Day 7 лет назад

The atonement for our sins is explained in many places. The clearest in Colossians 3. The imputed righteousness is of the old man, of our sins that are dead. At the time of Judgement our new man that lives righteously is held up with Christ covering the OLD MAN.
Rom 3:25 also makes this clear - The blood covers our *PAST* sins.

We are NOT justified by the law!

    • @contemplate-Matt.G
      @contemplate-Matt.G 10 лет назад +2

OpenAirOutreach The validity of your statement here depends on Christ being made righteous through obedience to the law. You're implying that we don't receive Christ's righteousness which is by the law because if we did, we would then be saved by works. You are forgetting that Christ was righteous before He was born into this world. Christ is the very law giver and fulfills the law by His very being, and fulfills the prophets by fulfilling the prophecies. Besides, when the word says that we are not saved by works, it always implies OUR works.
I think you have two main problems Jesse.... Firstly, you are confusing righteousness in practice with legal (imputed) righteousness. God never expects any one to have practical righteousness. That is the whole point of the cross. Only Christ has practical righteousness. The second problem you have is that you don't really believe we are saved by grace which makes you an unbeliever. You have a form of godliness (self righteousness) but deny the power (Christ's works)
You agree that our faith is counted as (imputed for) righteousness when we believe......whose righteousness do you think it is? You are also preaching to non believers because no true believer who is the temple of the Holy Spirit will think sinning is ok. But He will know that his sins are accounted for in full. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Rom 4:6,8
No one really believes that God doesn't see sin. Think about it.
If Christ was delivered for our offenses (sins) in Rom 4:25, Tell me then....what causes that sin? The wages of sin is death, but the power of sin is the law. Without law, sin is not imputed. (Rom 5:13) Christ came to earth "under the law" because what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (Rom 8:3 ). You are focusing on "deeds" as though you are still under the law or......a catholic. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.
The law is tied to sin and condemns but.....He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. (2Co 5:21 ) How are we made the righteousness of God? By being sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Heb 10:10 ) and this done through the Mosaic law and the culmination of it. As 2 cor 5:21 stated, Jesus IS the righteousness. We are counted as righteous. Whose righteousness do we receive?
The righteousness of the law is NOT fulfilled in us (Rom 8:4) because we make some kind of effort to be righteous. Do you hear yourself? You speak of context and like all the rest, completely disregard it. You mistakenly think that when Paul says "after the flesh" in Rom 8:4 he means.....Try not to sin. When Flesh and Spirit are contrasted in speaking of the law, they are referring to two different realms. Either you are in the realm of the flesh (trying to attain righteousness by the law).....or you are in the realm of the Spirit (trusting in the finished work of Christ).
For when we were in the flesh (realm of the flesh) the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit (realm of the spirit) and not in the oldness of the letter Rom 7:5,6
The motions of sins caused death when we were unsaved. We still have motions of sins after we're saved but now are counted as righteous.
Which is why Paul can say.....
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the FLESH, but after the SPIRIT. Rom 8:1
Is he talking about your efforts here or the realm you place yourself in by your believing? I hope you say the latter!
You said (paraphrasing) that if we received Christ's righteousness, then God would look upon us as righteous and then salvation wouldn't be by grace.
Absurd. Receiving the righteousness of Christ as a free gift IS grace!
Rom 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of GRACE AND OF THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.
You said that (paraphrasing) you cannot be righteous in your position while you remain unrighteous in your practice. Whoah!! are you kidding me? Did you forget what "righteous" means? Has any person ever been "righteous" in their practice save Christ? Emphatically No! Maybe that's why the Bible teaches us that we need to be imputed the righteousness OF CHRIST.
You said "Jesus died so that we could practice righteousness". Whoa again!!
This sounds terribly religious and self righteous! Do you "practice righteousness"? John also says that WHEN we sin, we have an advocate. Either John is contradictory or you misread him.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 1Jo 2:1
You said "so Jesus came so that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us" while explaining why we need to be righteous in our practice. You also said that we are not saved by the works of the law. You are a confused theologian.
Jesus came to overcome death by resurrection and give eternal life to all who put their trust in Him. When you trust Christ in His person and atoning work and Sabbath in Him, you are regenerated and the fruit thereafter is the work of the Holy Spirit. Gal 5:22.......not you
Stop inspecting other's fruit and be a truth inspector

Imputation in the Greek means to reckon or consider. And the Bible says faith is imputed as righteousness, which means it is faith that God considers to be righteousness - not an obedience to the Torah. Abraham did not have the Torah, but He was considered righteous because of His faith. Nowhere in the Bible does imputed ever mean that something foreign to you is transferred to your account, as Calvinists mistakenly teach. And their doctrine is relatively new.

    Righteousness is IMPUTED to us!
It is HIS righteousness by which we are found worthy of heaven.
    We are CLOTHED in it!!
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ; and all these things shall be ADDED unto you.” Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭
“For they being ignorant of GOD’S righteousness, and going about to establish their OWN righteousness, have NOT submitted themselves unto the righteousness OF GOD .”

God does indeed considereth all our works. He sees that all our righteousness are as filthy rags (Isaiah 64v6), for by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified (Romans 3v20)
The imputed righteousness of Christ, is only a myth to those who don't possess such a gift. True that there are those who will abuse the doctrines of grace, and as such will prove to have deceived themselves (James 1v22). However those who truly have Christ's righteousness imputed to their account, will no longer walking after the flesh, but after the Spirit , seeing that they have been born again of God's Spirit (John 3v7). Such individuals are no longer dead in trespasses and in sins (Ephesians 2v1), and seek to lovingly obey God, and practice righteousness as a consequence of the prior things which have been said.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin Psalm 32v2, and if not imputing sin, then instead imputing righteousness, and not any righteousness of his own, but rather the righteousness of Christ (2 Corinthians 5v21).

[Answer 1]:[You can't backload the law of moses(commandmants) as the commandment of christ,
that would be a work AND A BURDEN]
[Sentence 1 of me]:[Its only the blood of jesus christ, which god accepts and the blood of jesus brought us nigh
to god,God doesnt accept you the merit of human(throught own works)]
      --------
[Question 3] Do you believe, that christ died for all you sins, why you still think, that you
can still get lost, throght sinning, by the way, dont tell me, that you have stopped to sin (No one can) ?
      --------

of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
[Verse]Johannes 1,12 : 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
[Answer 3]:[If you are in Christ, you ARE NO LONGER IN FLESH( You are in Christ by faith
and not by own afford to keep the Law of moses)
[Answer 4] Yes, that is true, no sinner will come into heaven(Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies),
      [Sentence 2 of me]
but in christ i am the rightousness of god and not a sinner anymore in his sight, he will not remember my sins(And all is forgiven, because of what christ done),
christ paid for all and its not our obendience, its the obedience of christ and thats why the rightous christ, which
lived a perfect life, died in our place, because we never could make it by our own.
[Verse]col 2,14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us,
      and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
[Verse]roman 5, 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the
righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
      --------
[Question 4] No where in the bible stays, that repeat means to stop sinning ?
[Question 5] You cannot lose salvation, God promissed enternal life to everyone, who simply
put his faith in Christ as saviour ?
[Verse]joh3,16 : 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[Sentence 3 of me] What jesus did, gave me(and us) enternal life and to receive the gift(gift is free),
you need to believe the gospel
[Verse]roman 4, 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly,
his faith is counted for righteousness.
      [#Quote from you : 1]
If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away.
It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole
body to be thrown into hell.…
You are rejecting the words of Jesus Christ,
you are calling him a liar. Jesus said if you look at women with lust
you commit adultury and will burn in hell unless you stop.
      [Answer 5]
I dont deny it, i am really messed up and with much lesser bodyparts,
if christ didnt died for my since and if i need to try it throught the LAW,
IT WOULD HAVE BE BETTER FOR ME, to CUT parts of me.
Christ used the high standart of the Law, to show us the need of a saviour,
i am unable to save my self, christ died for all my sins, it is finished and
god accept his blood sacrifice and GOD ACCEPTS you 100% on the base of CHRIST
      and 0% on you doing

[Question 6] How much have you sinned today ? When was the last time, you desired a woman ?
Do you dont see, that you cant do it by you own and that it would be better for you to cut
body parts of to not break the LAW ?
But you already sinned and are condamned,
1 SIN is enough to damn you to hell, accept that christ died for all yous and that
this saved you and NOT YOU KEEPING THE LAW, please only trust in christ
Our you might hear the words in MT7, that christ says, i never knew you
[Answer 6] Jesus first preached to the jews the messanic kingdom and yes,
under the Law of Moses condition and if the jews wouldnt be blinded, they would see,
that they never could reach the standart to pass into his kingdom, we are all sinners,
      no exception

MYTH? Are you calling actual SCRIPTURE a myth??
“And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was IMPUTED unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.”
    ‭‭James‬ ‭2:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“Even the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD which is BY FAITH of Jesus Christ unto all AND UPON ALL them that BELIEVE for there is no difference:”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:22‬ ‭
“For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience OF ONE shall many be MADE RIGHTEOUS.
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“For they being ignorant of GODS righteousness, and going about to establish THEIR OWN righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness OF GOD .”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Man has never been capable of obtaining the level of righteousness needed to enter heaven.
The Bible tells us our flesh is as a filthy rag, that’s why IT stays in the ground when we die.
It’s our SPIRIT that needs to be regenerated and the Lord JESUS CHRIST does just that when we put our FAITH in HIM ALONE.
He IMPUTES HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS on our SPIRIT at the moment we BELIEVE.. HIS Holy Spirit is GIVEN to us, which contains HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, HIS FRUIT, HIS ACTUAL DNA IS imputed to our spirit.
We are literally COVERED by HIS righteousness.
It the only way one can ever be found worthy of heaven!!

I find it funny that you start by quoting 1 John 3:7 yet ignore the broader context of the book of 1 John especially chapters 1 and 2 where John says, “if you say you have never sinned you make God a liar, and if you say you have no sin you are a liar.” Quotes from chapter 1:8-10. Notice the past tense vs present tense in those verses saying if you say you have no sin, present tense. And the beginning of chapter 2 which says, “if you do sin we have an advocate with the Father.” Denying the imputes righteousness of Christ fundamentally ignores the nature of salvation as described in Romans, Galatians, and 1 John. Read 2 Corinthians 5:21 which plainly describes the doctrine of imputed righteousness

Simple. 1. I bet you can’t name the 40,000 denominations. 2. A large number of those do not hold the Bible as the sole infallible rule of faith. Many of those don’t view the Bible as authoritative nor use the Bible to determine doctrine. Catholicism is one example of this, since their doctrine is not rooted in scripture, but according to their own history, tradition and church authority is. Mormonism would also be included in there, yet they do not hold the same view of scripture that historic Christianity has.
It’s not the first time I’ve been asked that question, and it won’t be the last time I give this response to someone. Learn stuff about Christianity and the sources which you are quoting from before you open your mouth about things
And I agree about people having their own interpretation of hell. But we aren’t talking about a persons opinion on a subject, but what the plain reading of the text is. There’s a difference between those two things

The doctrine of the imputed righteousness of Christ is not exegetically sound. Imputed does not mean something foreign to you is transferred to your account. The word means to reckon or consider. When the Bible says that faith is imputed as righteousness that means that righteousness in God's eyes is our faith. To say that Christ's works must be transferred to us is justification by works, not grace. Christ died for us but He did not obey for us. We must obey God for ourselves.

God sees our righteousness. Luther and Calvin were heretics.
"As long as we are in this world we have to sin. This life is not the dwelling place of righteousness but, as Peter says, we
look for a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness dwells (2 Peter3:13). It is enough that by the riches of God’s glory we have come to know the
Lamb that takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). No sin will separate us from the Lamb, even though we commit fornication and murder a thousand times a
day.” (cited in Hendrix, Martin Luther, 121-122).
1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

I believe that what you're discussing has changing factors over time.
The reason being is that of course while we are unworthy sinners (before we are cleansed from our sin.
But, we by our following (being led by) the Lamb unto the cross, put all sin to death with Him.
Therefore we can't have the Christ's imputed righteousness, until we are resurrected to live out of the Christ's resurrection temple. (The Resurrection Spirit our controller. Romans 8:9.
But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you".)
Why? Because we don't have His resurrection Spirit living out of us.
Not until we submit in repentance & He leads us to our carnal death; the death of sin at the cross!
But when we give up and submit to repentance, in our sinner's prayer, then God comes unto us.
Leading us into our death with Him, and then resurrecting His own righteousness into our temple to live and move and have His being.
Now we have his imputed righteousness!
In fact, we are made slaves unto His righteousness! Sovereign & Supreme in the earth as we are in Heaven. (Know ye not that the Kindom of heaven is at hand!)
We, being dead to sin, can no longer continue in it.
Why? Because the Christ who is alive and living out of us (controlling us) wills, not to sin!
How can we continue in sin if the Lamb is our spiritual willing, living out our life?
And God forbid that we continue to sin that grace abound!
We who have been born through the cross can no longer continue to sin.
    1 John 3:6-10
Because the seed of God who is living in us, will not lead us to sin!
But yes I agree that there are a lot of people who have not actually gone to the Cross who are claiming to be Christians and acting as though they have God's imputed righteousness already! Who never went with us to the cross!
So I am glad that you are teaching on this topic, but I hope that you are teaching that God's righteousness is imputed by His Spirit, coming to live out of us, no longer sinning!
Until His resurrection spirit is living out of us, we are living in sin; our old carnal nature!
Remember the new has come the old has gone!
We are new creatures in Christ no longer imputed with sinfulness being we are no longer sinners!
If we confess to continue in sin then it's obvious we are not following the Christ, and so we can have no claim to be Christian! -

@@destroyingtheworksofthedev9349 Thanks. Yeah. I don’t do the KJV much. Used too. I’m not opposed to using it for surface level reading but the student must always try to reach back to the Greek and Hebrew for clarity.
Not to go off on a rabbit trail. I am not Calvinist or Augustinian or Antinomian or Gnostic. I don’t believe King James was a person anointed by God. Neither were Jamies scribes anointed in scriptural inspired sort of way. And I don’t believe there is anything special about the English or Old English language.
Reaching back to the Greek and Hebrew tends to always put every English version in check. Most (likely all) interpretations have biases and some do better than others in translating word for word without adding grammar.
As for the verse I provided, yes, both “reckoned” and “counted” does the trick. I think either one of those words captures the biblical hebrew Jewish Christian mindset.
However, Did you notice the phrasing of the verse I provided? The order of the words that I presented actually captures the soteriology of some people. It’s the cart before the horse sort of thing. It’s very subtle to see. But each student must take as much care as the Biblical Hebrews did when they translated letter by letter. The letter, words and phrasing are extremely important.
If we don’t pay close attention to these things we end up with 40k denominations and heresies like Calvinism (just to name one of many heresies and misunderstandings).
