    I dont want to be *that* person, but I am glad I have the previous version. I wish MINI the best of luck, but nothing on this car screams quality, or passion. The SE was and still is a hoot to drive, and had driving dynamics favoured over range - which I totally agree with btw.
    Anyway, best of luck with the new car MINI, but I will be keeping mine :)

    This is the best review of the new Mini. Thanks to the presenter.

    Power and Battery are the only upgrades, I feel like everything else is actually a step backwards. I note they also have still not quoted the weight of the new model.

    It looks like a Chinese mini knockoff from the rear angel, I can't say I'm excited about this one.

    Really starting to love this new design. It's kind of made the current design look old fashioned now. Great video!

    This is a nice preview. One note of correction; there is no such thing as, “vegan leather”. The product is a petroleum based vinyl.

      Semantics, maybe, but even some petrochemical based materials are bound or adhered using animal-derived products, often in glues or backing materials. In the case of Mini's vegan leather it is still an artificial product, but made from recycled materials and is able to be recycled at the end of its life, with the aim of reducing its carbon impact compared to traditional animal hide.

    It's the future.. Glad I have a 2024 manual Transmation. Will be interesting to see how it does in the USA.

    54kwh battery getting 400+km? You're joking I hope 🤣 you'd be lucky to get 300. Real world.

      300km real world is a lot better than the 180km (real world) I'm getting with my Mini SE. Still fun to drive!

      @@jansgoldfeder4843 that's terrible. Lucky for me i got an MG with a 73kwh battery which get me 500km real world range.

      @@jansgoldfeder4843 The current 28.9kWh is good for 250km round town, 233km freeway, and 200km with track tyres. I would say 400 should be easily possible based on the current SE. Granted the new MINI is heavier, but I would think 400 would be a doddle. If not, then MINI have really dropped the ball.

    • @Monaleenian
      @Monaleenian 5 месяцев назад

      @@jansgoldfeder4843Is it better though? If that extra range is rarely used and comes at the cost of significantly greater weight and worsened handling then I wouldn’t consider it be better. I’d actually consider it to be far worse.

    I have driven a prius, and the Nissan Micra, but without a doubt the Mini Cooper Electric is the worst car I've ever driven.
    Interior space, controls and driving experience are all rubbish.

      So, you have already driven this new model?

    • @L0000NEY

      What is bad about the driving experience? It's more spritely light footed than any other EV out there.

    • @MeasureOnce
      @MeasureOnce 9 месяцев назад

      @@L0000NEY drove it in Europe recently. As mentioned, I think it's utter rubbish. Of course, you're entitled to your view, but drive it first.
      We had luggage for a few day's travel for 2 people. Wouldn't want to fit more people or bags in.

      @@MeasureOnce I own one, and can't think of any better EV to buy (for my use case anyway)

      @@MeasureOnce not trying be cute or rude, but the space has nothing to do with the driving. I agree it didn't work for your intended purpose, but I would say if you want to tour with lots of luggage, don't get a MINI. You wouldn't rent a scooter to carry your bags. The MINI is one of, if not the best driving EV there currently is for mere mortals. It was never designed to carry 4 and their luggage on a touring holiday :) Practicality is not the same as driving experience. PS. I said 4 as an example, I know you said 2....
