Lucci they are merely only protecting their chicks. These birds can be aggressive. Had a couple who used to nest every spring and they would always show up when I’m passing by the nest. They only seem to watch but when dogs or cats are around, they will most likely attack.

These birds need to be eradicated as they are bullies towards cats and are a nuisance
