My twin has been using drugs since high school. She just passed on July 30. She has been using meth and blues for the last five years. We were 61. Our birthday was August 22. It was the hardest day of my life. I wish all addicts well.

This interview was very good. Mal you have a special way of making people feel comfortable and cared about. You have been blessed with that gift. When people who are lost and hurting have the chance to talk about the situation, I believe it can be a stepping stone to getting out. Sarah, you are so sweet and smart. Never feel like you are less because you have stumbled at times. The Lord loves you right where you are. If you reach out to Him, He will be there for you. I don't like to sound like I'm preaching, but I speak from experience. I will be praying for you and your husband.🙏☝️

She's so beautiful I really fear for her life. A knife is nothing when you have a gun to your head. I had a man that I thought loved me for 6 years and leaving him was the best thing I ever did.. now I have a real love with someone I got sober with and I wouldn't go back for the world. I pray for her it's so worth it to get clean. I hope she realizes her worth 🥺

Hey MzG, I’m doing ok I guess. I’ve been very tired, & really sore for the past few weeks, cause where I live when the weather changes to cold, it affects my MS bad. But other than that, thank god for life right, and another day to be alive. So how have you been sweetie? I hope your doing well. I haven’t seen you around, but only in Mal’s lives. Co dependency is one of the worst kinds of addiction you can have because you might want to get clean but your spouse don't the disease of addiction you got to be selfish for your sobriety make meetings get a sponsor do step work and you'll be okay

The fact that he asked what can we help you with and you didn't ask for a handout you ask for a opportunity says alot about your character your so young but no lie you made me realize some my flaws We all go thru rough patches in life none of us is perfect NONE of us keep your head up in you most definitely got my prayers that's for sure rare you hear people say just keep me in your prayers
The strength and courage it takes to put yourself on camera and the compassion you show, making them feel worthy, is so amazing! We shouldn’t have to go to meetings with anonymous in the name - until the stigma ends, the road to a sober life is so much more difficult!
Thank you for showing addicts are people and not some stereotype or statistic. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, redemption, and the American dream are not reserved for only certain people! Judgement and hate takes on the road to hell.

There are reasons the meetings have the word anonymous in them. And they saved my life, 27 years sober...but totally aware it's not the only way. Please don't denigrate programs that are saving lives....try every way til you find one that works. Peace. ✌

You are so new to this world of addiction Sarah just by the way you answered your questions. But soon it’ll make you it’s slave for real for real so please do for self while you’re ahead of a lot of addicts. And if your husband really loves you he will push you to get help. Even your mother commented on here so don’t take that for granted cause at the end you show who you really love. Get into treatment and learn to love and be by yourself before you can love or be with someone else. Take suggestions now before you have no choice but take extreme and desperate measures like all others females out there. All your nevers will become true. This is coming from a recovering addict whose lived in Philly and has been in treatment at Self Help in Philly. God bless you n ur mom. Don’t give up on urself or stay codependent cuz it’ll b ur downfall ,feeling like you owe your partner for literally slowing killing you , n vice versa. It’s all unintentional till it’s not and becomes selfishness

She’s so young still and her life hasn’t gotten to the point where you do actually do the stuff you “could never do”. She reminds me of myself so much. Baby girl it only gets worse. And that dope gonna get to them “bad” withdraws u ain’t had yet. I pray she gets out ASAP!!!! It took me till I was 37 to finally get all the way clean.

Sarah is the first person that I've ever heard say that she loved heroin from the very first time she took it. (unless I've missed others who have also said this). What honesty. It's sad tho when Sarah said " I used to be somebody". Sarah doesn't blame anyone for her addiction, so with proper help Sarah, you can get your dreams. I don't know of anyone who didn't love heroin the first time they took it. Addicts might be very sick, but they aren't crazy -there's a reason why they throw away everything for drugs. Having said that , no matter how pleasurable it may be, it's not worth the wreckage that it creates in the lives of addicts & all those who love them. Not to mention the thousands who lose their lives to these drugs( heroin/fentanyl).
I hear most people say it was love at first use.. including my family member who now is in prison because of heroin/fent addiction
All addicts love it from the first time they have it. That's how the disease of addiction starts. It starts out as a euphoric gentle embrace kissing your tears away. It doesn't take long to become an addict
The first time I did heroin I said I never want to feel any other way.Then u realize how evil it is.
Sarah we only get one life. Please don't waste yours. Life can be so beautiful. You are worth so much more than getting high & living on the streets. You are beautiful! 🙏❤

Such an intelligent young woman with a mass amount of wisdom. For someone who has been out there she still has a beautiful smile, soul, and heart.
Sorry, but all of these posts praising these people of being intelligent, wise, etc, etc is foolishness. These people are on this street because of dumb decisions leading to their current plight. They knew the potential consequences of taking that first, second hit but did it anyway. If they were so bright they would have sought assistance in a positive way rather than escaping into a feel good out of reality moment. There is nothing to praise about these people. Pity yes but not praise. They refuse to seek treatment and refuge from their chosen living conditions and that is nothing to praise how wonderful and intelligent they are. Hard truth.

Sarah I really hope and pray you and your husband get off those streets before anything bad comes to either one of you. What led me to getting clean was finding the love of my life dead of an overdose. I wanted to die too but now I'm still here clean 4 years later still wishing he had gotten clean and been able to survive with me. You are both meant for better!!

She looks like she could be a model. She's really pretty and doesn't look like she should be out there. Those drugs are going to evidently ruin her pretty face. I would hate to see her on another video six months or a year from now looking all worn out and haggered. Sarah,if your husband truly loved you he would help you seek professional help instead of allowing you yo cause further harm to yourself with drug abuse. I pray that you have an epiphany and go back home to your parents so that you can begin the healing process.
Don't give up prayer is powerful a simple prayer that I said and had a spiritual awaking was God help me in this moment that I do not know what I am doing 🙏

Sarah is an absolutely beautiful person, inside and out. I've been down a similar road to her's, and I found that passing time turned into 20 lost years.
I've never heard anyone say that they regret getting clean, but those regrets while you're using pile up with lost time and make the road harder to find the exit. Giving the gift of clean time to yourself is the best gift you can give. Please be careful and know you are loved. 💕

A cop friend of my said they are hiring at Walmart Target. WALGREENS ACME Aldies dollar general we helped alot of ppl gets jobs. I just got 3 ppl jobs on the Tolls and Family court. Very good city jobs and federal jobs. Trust me I know alot of federal ppl and believe it or not they have trust in me I'm to old for these stars and disrespect that comes with it will have me back in a places I don't need to be . I'm too good to be in a place that once ruled my life. My family needs me and its the most important priority in my life .
Sometimes you need to go away to make a comeback. I was homeless in Vegas back in 2014, I recently bought a condo in Orange County. The only way you have a chance is if you don’t quit. Get off the dope, then the world is your oyster ❤

It's really sad to see people in these moments. I was there before I was addicted to dope and soft and it's hard. It's one of rhe toughest things I ever had to go through. But it is possible to get sober. I hope that these people know this.
