The dad wonders why things aren't going right, but when you have a plant you give it sun, water, and soil. This guy stomps on it and wonders why it's not growing.
Wise words.
So true
The worst part is that guys like that always think it's not growing because they're not stomping hard enough.
I love the way you said that. By the way, nice peeper profile picture.
Nice pfp, Favorite Biome?
The only reason i keep rewatching Kitchen Nightmares is these thumbnails and titles. Good job to whoever comes up with them!!

Being from michigan, I actually tried guiseppes when I was with my sister because we both wanted italian, and the closest restaurant we hadnt tried yet was guiseppes. We went around 2013 and the food was amazing, the staff was friendly and neither me and my sister had any complaints. The four cheese ravioli was fresh and the sauce was made in store. The restaurant is still open today and it is thriving as one of the top italian spots in macomb michigan. Thank you gordon for helping this restaurant and making it one of my favorite childhood memories

Fr cheeky lad 😂
I hate how they automatically blamed the son for everything! The dad has a hero complex
Right, didn't give him an opportunity or chance or the right ingredients and then blamed him! Like wtf!
The dad had very strange ideas as well. We have to serve potato skins here because people come with their kids and they won't eat Italian food... what? Italian food is the one thing even picky eaters can agree on.
After hearing what they wrote in their letters, it sounds like at some point in the past the son messed up big time. And the father kind of wrote him off back then and wasn't really ready to give him another chance.
@@annaf3915 one of my cousins is/was a VERY picky eater and one thing she always gobbles down is any pasta with a good simple tomato sauce lol
@@n.c.pictures Exactly, my kids would also have lasagna or Pizza Margharita every night and one of them is a picky eater as well. Or tortellini with a plain cream sauce, or the good old buttered noodles.

if i had a nickel for every episode of kitchen nightmares i watched this week that featured an italian chef who was too arrogant to cook for someone else and so bought a restaurant so he could be his own boss without having the skills or understanding to do so, i would have two nickels
I absolutely love how Gordon is so genuinely enthusiastic about the proposal; it just goes to show how much passion he has for mentoring these chefs.

The recurring theme of most kitchen nightmares episodes: A toxic patriarchal figure who blames everyone else, and who the other members of staff are to afraid of to confront
That’s what makes a bad restaurant so it’s common to see
You obviously don’t know what it’s like to shoulder the weight of an entire business AND family as the sole breadwinner. Giuseppe may not have been a good teacher but he knew his son was not committed enough to hand off the reigns. You have to respect where he’s coming from, there are real consequences of his business failing, he’s not just a toxic asshole there’s a lot of love and dedication to his family there.
@@veganskillz "You have to respect where he’s coming from"
Nah we don't, hes a piece of shit business owner or not. He could try being nice to his son literally once just to see if it works

objective: sneak to get the water in the fridge and to not alert the monster
Side quest: get ice cubes to have the best water of your life
Tip: the monster, otherwise known as “drunk stepdad” is known for its otherwise predictable combo. a simple jab followed by a hook with a clutched beer bottle can be countered by ducking, retreating, or a simple charisma check (charisma check 8).

Second side quest: make it back to your room without alerting the second monster know as your mom who will beat the shit out of you with la changla
These shows both aired in 2008. Sadly both restaurants closed within a year. Giuseppi's didn't have a liquor license and just couldn't make it without one.
The good news is the Trobiano's are still married and have 3 kids and Anthony is still a chef in another restaurant.
Thank you for this, I always wonder what happens to the restaurant after Gordon leaves
That's what he should have done from the beginning, work in another restaurant and gain some experience

My aunt has diabetes she was bedridden for a year or 2.😅 Now she's perfectly fine.

@@shosha101390its not totally treatable it can actually be pretty debilitating especially because he isn’t even getting treatment for it so yes hes suffering alot actually i know first hand but i agree its not the worst disease ever
You obviously don't know much about diabetes, some of my family members have had devastating side effects from their diabetes and one was bed ridden
@@Raiisingknye Depends, If you have type 2 its PREVENTABLE not treatable, I have type 1 and it was inevitable not to mention it isnt just "debilitating" if you arent treated. I know first hand that untreated diabetes can and will kill someone considering it almost killed me a few months ago
Dad casually walking back again and again into the kitchen after being shoo-ed out is like my cat being kicked out of the kitchen after being caught for the 10th time head in the pot when we turned our back for 2 seconds, and then casually walling back into the kitchen trying to look innocent and totally not meaning to try again. Honestly I have such newfound respect for Gordon Ramsay. When I was a teenager I always heard that he just swears and acts aggressive etc and bc that's what was entertaining, that's what you saw online not the good parts. But I've been watching the Hell's Kitchen marathons and I watch this show too, regularly now, and he is nothing like I thought. He's virtually saving lives and families by helping them restore their restaurants to a good standard, he's teaching, he's guiding, he's doing the work with them. He's a completely different person to what I initially thought when I was younger and this is such a pleasant realisation.
The son was happy his dad won the cookoff and for such a beautiful reason 🥹 what a man!
This channel doesnt have any haters most toxic free channel ever my fellow gordans

Here goes, this goofball uploads the exact same five videos over and over and over and over and over and over but he thinks that if he includes a goofy thumbnail into wacky title no one will notice.

I hope Sam is thriving today. His dad just needs someone to blame
Someone posted about that
Fr, he never even had a chance to grow up. His father wouldn’t be happy if he didn’t have a carbon copy of himself, and even then he’d have something to nitpick probably. “Why don’t you grow balls like I have” probably because he has you kicking him in the balls every day, plus TIMES CHANGE IDIOT. You can literally see in Sam’s face when Gordon makes his critiques that he’s made them all before, but always get dismissed. And then the old fool wonders why he doesn’t wanna show up and kiss his ass anymore after 15 years of emotional abuse and neglect. Also, they said they opened the restaurant to hand it over to Sam, but nobody ever said if he even wanted that. He probably just had his fate prescribed to him.
I’m not gonna lie, I was shocked that the first restaurant’s episode was filmed in 2008!! 😮 literally EVERY person in the episode looked like they stepped outta 1988-1992 😂 but it does make me sad that they didn’t last and closed. They seemed like a really sweet family.
Me: i would eat all of that
Gordon: this is disgusting
Me: that's disgusting
The old guy made me SO mad for different reasons. But the one that really bugged me was when he said diabetes was the worst disease you could imagine. I’m a nurse. Yeah, diabetes can be bad, especially if you’re non compliant. But my time on the cancer units showed me that there are some horrendous diseases out there.
yea his comment was pretty ignorant on his part
same here, i had kidney failure in my 30s and wouldn't even think of saying that was the worst thing that could happen to someone. Plenty of worse things out there. My diabetic friends seem to cope with there illness pretty well also
But at same time, as a nurse, u should also understand is terrible for the individual involved hence why focus on themselves
