    This is THE BEST tech review I've ever seen. Short, sweet, simple, and to the point. Gave me all the information I needed, the speaker was very good and professional and didn't have an annoying voice or any annoying mannerisms, and he knew what he was talking about. The background music was at a great volume that added nice ambience to the video but didn't over power it. I will definitely recommend this channel to everyone I know and will keep watching it myself.

    I really like mine. I maxed out the RAM to 192GB, upgraded the OS SSD to a 4TB Crucial T705 Gen 5 M.2 NVMe SSD with low profile Copper Heatsink, & upgraded both Storage 1 & 2 slots with 4TB Samsung 990 Pro Gen 4 M.2 NVMe SSDs with Heatsinks. My upgraded M.2 NVMe SSD configuration completely got rid of the stock RAID 0 which isn't needed when using the current Fastest 4TB Crucial T705 Gen 5 M.2 NVMe OS SSD. This MSI Titan 18HX A14VIG-036US of mine does everything to perfection from Gaming to Video Editing, Content Creation, UHD 4K Video Streaming, etc.. Yes it cost me a fortune but well worth it to me!

    I’m looking at the MSI Titan 18” in the sale for $3900. i9-14900HX, RTX 4080, 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD. Would you recommend the model at this price? Would like to future proof for heavy work flow and gaming.

    Hey, wait a second, did I get this right? The RAM capacity is 192 GB? On the official MSI website, it says the maximum is 128 GB. As far as I know, if you install a larger DDR module than the system supports, it won't recognize the extra capacity. So, it would only use up to 128 GB, and the rest would be unused, which seems like a real waste of resources.

    • @pnp072000
      @pnp072000 2 месяца назад +1

      The highest configuration that it comes with is 128 gb, but you can upgrade to 192 gb if you buy the 4 x 48 gb dimms.

    I personally thank you for this video! This is very helpful, only thing I ask MSI if they're reading this comment, is put the Scar 18 like cooling in it... Thats the only thing I am asking for in next gen or minor refresh.
    I also ask you if you can do a blender render and export on this machine. If you have done it before please give me a link to the vid.

    • @robeytech
      @robeytech  4 месяца назад +1

      We haven't use the SCAR personally so I don't have a fair comparison. For our video render tasks it was amazing our editing team loved it. In fact a few of the videos on this channel were edited and rendered using the Titan.

    • @AwwsmGaurav
      @AwwsmGaurav 4 месяца назад +1

      @@robeytech well, Blender rendering of 3d environment and especially export of the frames, which is like 4-5 frames exporting per minute normally on high end desktop, is at different level than normal video renderings and exporting with video editing softwares like premiere and resolve.
      So I was curious what this can do, I almost made a decision to get one, and since you couldn't find a reason why this machine has such a high amount of ram, this is what will push it to the limits, well actually beyond its limits.
      Handling 3D animation environment and then rendering and exporting all that is no joke

    is it worth it? sorry 5k no I can see a 2k laptop with a 4080 maybe be worth it but even then I own a 2023 x16 flow 4060 and I love the flip and touchscreen of it and its the perfect laptop for my needs and decent enough battery life with still a beautiful display. if a 5k laptop you are looking for you may as well build a mini itx portable PC instead you would be better off doing that since you would get way more performance for the price not like this titan is getting long battery life lol

    • @robeytech
      @robeytech  4 месяца назад +7

      It's a personal choice, there are a lot of folks that the Titan (I mean look at what it gets on cinebench) is just a better option given it can still easily travel. I travel with a mini-ITX system from time to time and even with a portable monitor and everything else it takes a lot more room. They are niche products for sure, but as a truly portable workstation it's very hard to beat.

      I use it as a swap drive, which would quite efficiently murder a nand drive in a few months.

      @@magfal thanks for the reply dude; I was looking at Optane from some time ago since I bought some cheaper micron 4TB SSD's and it turned out they'd slow down after some time of continuous coping of big chunks of data. First I tried Primo Cache but it doesn't quite work for me and then I looked into the Optane but wasn't quite sure what to do. And it's so good you pulled it in a laptop; mine's a desktop so was wondering what I could do
