Pro tip; the maxed out spellbinder adds crit chance based on the stamina drained, much like the attack bonus for mana drained. I got 41% crit chance on top of the 260~ attack stat after maxing out both stamina and mana, though mana was still the priority. Also, please note that I didn't use ANY consumables to get these numbers. Just sparks, equipment and celestial pills. Edit: Turns out the 41% was temporary from the Wukong set bonus "bonus crit chance after a spell". Still, it DOES make a difference; with the exact same equipment setup as the video my attack was 268 and my crit chance was 32%. Swapping out Tiger's Acolyte for Non-Able gave me 275 attack and 34% crit chance, with only one point less in crit damage. Edit 2: Did some more testing by equipping two of the backscratcher curios before using spellbinder (you get a max of 5 slots from beating the Tiger Blacksmith once per playthrough, so 2 is the best you can equip without sacrificing max mana) and with the Non-Able setup I'm sitting at 36% crit chance. And considering I just now got another crit chance accessory from beating the Wandering Wight a second time, that number could potentially hit 42% in NG++
Wow nice experimenting. you are the crit chance king 🔥. How did this help you in a boss fight for example? Did erlang or great sage become test dummies for this build?
@@ARE_Andon Erlang Shen. Definitely Erlang Shen. He kicked my @$$ for several hours before I stopped relying on spells and just went for it with the boosted damage. I didn't even go for a one-shot specifically, just basic combos and dodging, but his healthbar got shredded while I still had six sips left in my gourd. I honestly feel like Spellbinder was made for him because he no-sells pretty much all your "tricks", so boosting your damage output is really the best use of your mana.
@@triplesharigan True, but honestly, the build is already overkill for most things. If anyone else is farming the seals, took me about 20 minutes farming the same path, but i equipped the Skull of Turtle Treasure helmet and Golden Carp curio, seemed to help w/ drop rates a lot
Hi, great video, clever build indeed and clear explanations. You can have even more mana. Instead of 3 Thunderflame Seal, equip just 2 and 3rd curio equip with Preservation Orb. It will give you 60 MaxHP, 40MaxMana and 40 Max Stamina for a long duration after resurrection. Just that Preservation Orb is working the same with Incense Trail talisman too. Use Incense Trail talisman near the closest shrine check point from the boss fight. So instead of only 30 Mana from the 3rd Thunderflame Seal you will get + 60 MaxHP, 40MaxMana and 40 Max Stamina from Preservation Orb. And after that re-equip with your curios of choice, etc. Preservation Orb can be used in the same way for any other builds or strategies and that's why is the best curio in game. Keep posting.
I don't know about anyone else but the Thunderflame Seal curios were really easy to get x3 for me. I had the Golden Carp curios on which moderately increases chance of obtaining materials from defeated enemies. Not sure that classes as a material or I was extremely lucky. Worth a try though.
You can farm more beast masks which give crit damage so you can increase the total max dmg a bit more, giving more value than crit chance in just the highest number possible.
If you do scorch buffs from transformations, spirits and anything else that ups scorch damage, whilst also using the molten lava staff that does a scorch slam at 3 focus or higher, you can hit for around 8000. And that’s without all the crit and mana boosts. However, I did use the pilgrim set and and the gourde that ups damage by 30% on next hit. I’ll check tomorrow to see what numbers I can get
Have you tested this without pilgrims set? I’ve heard the attack buff from running doesn’t last long enough for you to get a fully charged heavy off. Also, I was curious how other armor sets would compare, I know there’s a ton of critical health attack buffs. For instance, people are getting tons of attack bonus from the iron bull armor and builds around that. Also the armor set from ch5 end boss has hit 14k+ at low health. Thinking it can be tweaked to hit harder than this without all of the swapping.
Honestly when i got spelbinder i was like "buffs huh? How good can they really be?" and never tested it tested it, i did think it coul be broken with the right build but like "half hp bosses broken" not as broken as this haha Still the reason i did not test it was because at least in my first time beating a boss i refuse to use anything broken build or search anything up. This build only works if you try over and over and over with that 26% until you get the crit so that the massive crit damage multiplier applies. Your aim should be to maximise crit chance first, because if you dont crit, that 1.94x is wasted.
This isnt close to optimized. I have 700 attack and made it myself without ever knowing about this video. U need the orb that gives mana/hp/stam when u revive for free boosts for spellbinder. You should only use one seal and then use backscratcher as he fails to understand that each seal gives 4 damage but every 33 stam gives 1% crit… and the crit is way better than 4 damage. On top of this, please mention that stamina converts to crit chance as it isnt ghe clearest in the description.
you should probably have mentioned spell binder can only be acquired from that boss if you do the quest for him before hand to trigger the fight. it's not just a boss that is there waiting for you man.
Just seeing this video now. The moment I saw what spellbinder did, I immediately jumped on it because I knew it's potential. I was running a build similar to what you had for most of my playthrough but didn't realize you could min-max to the extent you did. This is really fuckin cool, bravo man!
Hmmm either a stealth nerf happened or I am doing something wrong. I followed every step, I have every piece of gear and upgraded to mythical, starting mana after buffs is 665 and base attack at level 205 with all foundation skills maxed and all pulls from Xu Dog is 166, but when I do the gear swap (thunder flame to curios, gore eye daoist for tiger etc) I end up with a final attack of 278 how are you getting over 500
after the 10 seconds of sprinting which doubles your attack..but my stats are all higher than his plus i used a better spirit and medicine and it still only does half his health bar and not a 1-shot
I got it to 600 attack, with same build and lots of pills. Also, there're pills that will give you straight 3 bonus points when you drink it and it stack with the other focus pill so you can reach up to 4 focus points as you enter boss fight.
Yea, as soon as I got the armor that amplifies damage by running for ten seconds I've been using it to destroy things. I saw the potential in it immediately on day 1. I missed spell binder, but, the armor itself is also big damage. Can't wait to upgrade the armor to make it viable for late game.
Side note you can start charging and sprinting while in the smash stance and switch to another stance before releasing the attack and you'll use that stance's attack
It's amazing how I literally did something very close to this, but using that set that incresases your damage while poisoned. I actually posted a video about this on my page. I never thought on the one shot stuff. Nice shit I'm seeing here for sure.

I wonder if following is possible: Upgrade Cloud Step to let you Charge-Attack, Use Cloud-Step, Use Gourd which restores mana, take 2 sips to get mana full, cast spellbinder, run for 10 seconds to charge, smash with the buffs from cloudstep and spellbinder.
@@mancave4535 where'd you get that from? Unveiling strike does NOT always crit. Else, why would there be an item that "significantly increases the crit chance of Unveiling Strike"?
You were touching on that issue towards the end of the video, nonetheless I gotta ask: How do you time the slap so you don't lose the bonus from sprinting? I can hardly ever do it. I'm act 2 lvl 40ish and there are NON crit fully charged attacks that do 1500 dmg, *sometimes* . MOST of the time, my fully charged attacks after running around for 10 secs do like, 500 dmg. How does that even make sense? Isn't the set supposed to just double your damage? How does it *sometimes* triple? I'm so confused, please, someone help!
Could anyone explain how a level 77 had enough celestial ribbons and fine gold thread to upgrade all the gear into mythical? In my run using guides to ensure I captured them all, it was not possible to get that many of either. This likely leads me to believe this modded run was very likely modified as to obtain fine gold thread/celestial ribbons, you have to kill Yaoguai chiefs and kings as well as some chests contain it. But opening and/or killing those chiefs in the number of NG+'s to upgrade the amount of gear this person did would result in a much higher level. Not saying that once all that's obtained that it isn't possible but this build the streamer used has been widely noted and the crits reported on there are in the realm of 2k-5k.
I guess if you insist on fighting everything as under-leveled as possible and avoid every non-essential fight? I dont know lol I was 103 in chapter 2 with just one day of grinding for mind cores and 147 at the end of the game after getting 100% journal entries, every spirit, farming curios, etc. So that's 44 levels between chapter 2's end and the end of chapter 6. You'd kind of have to be avoiding leveling up for no good reason other than internet brags though - and I don't see the point in that when the max level is over 300 so even 147 is nowhere near max. At any rate, I'm not sure I want to trust beating broken shell on NG+ to crit chance and a prayer... if it doesn't work I have zero mana to do anything but try to dodge it out the rest of the way - and I'll admit I am not a dodging pro (though I did manage to dodge the last flurry of attacks from him when I beat him at least, I did also use up my gourd by the end of the fight)
um one thing you forgot is that you need to find the boss by the shore first then he appears at the second shrine in before where you showed then where you showed them
correct me if i'm wrong, but is there a mod available called 'wemod' that increases damage. These records are never on console anyway. i can see why players like games on PC , there are always mods to be found that can alter a LOT of stuff. Players also are trying to find exploits as well. btw i play games on PC as well as console. fairly decent pc is reqd though.
i am a bit confused i tested the pilgrim set earlier and never seemd to get the atk increase from running to work with a 3stage heavy attack. It was always normal damage since the attack was to slow ( my best guess ). Why dfq does it work for you, are u absolutely positiv that u are getting the set dmg increase for your heavy attacks and not just doing your normal damage ?
so after a bit more testing, YES it absolutely can work (obv u showed it in the video) but i have no clue why or how. about 1/10 running heavy attacks do get the damage bonus even tho the animation time shoudnt change xd
@@el-low6663 It's still hit or miss. Just did this to make sure I hadn't been releasing the stick early on accident. It hit once in 7 tries. The animation is variable. The times it hits, your character spins faster and the windup for it takes less time to begin. I don't know why or what causes it though.
I don't see why you use Lingering Aroma as a third relic since with Spell Binder you will not cast any more spells except that first spellbinder. I would use it for something else.
Hmm, guaranteed item rewards aside, how is the drop rate for the talisman when farming? Wonder if there’s drop rate gear to make farming easier. Giga damage one shots, not bad. But where’s the giga broken drop rate stuff right?
i thought i was the only one lol kinda risky to do all this knowing that the 2nd phase is where he's more aggressive. 1st-3rd phase was relatively easy/doable, but the 4th phase is something else.
That boss is missable if you complete Ch3. It’s not there for me, funny enough I found that arena before this video and was hella confused that it had no boss

oh it's pretty long and there are ways to make it last longer. you could use all the crit % change adds for that because cloudstep always crits
@@mancave4535 where'd you get that from? Unveiling strike does NOT always crit. Else, why would there be an item that "significantly increases the crit chance of Unveiling Strike"?
Is 3 tiger masks not better crit damage instead of 1?
this fucking guy 😭🙏
what a amazing build plz plz keep up the good content this build help me beat chater 5 end game boss
Harvard already sent a taxi
This guy is a legend. Will definitely be useful to me while progressing in the game.
Build couldnt beat gargoyle duo without manipulating them though, very sad 😢
Try Rusty Gold Cart with this build and you will find out how hard it is to set up
Sooooooo I can use most of this for Yellow Loong? I’m on my first play through! He’s really beating monkey 😂
amazing, thank you man. Quick one, wouldnt non-able be better than tiger's acolyte?
Syrobe be breaking games better then when my uncle broke his belt when he hit me. LIKED AND COMMENTED 🔥🗣️
um one thing you forgot is that you need to find the boss by the shore first then he appears at the second shrine in before where you showed then where you showed them
Ty for this !!!
Lore accurate Sun Wukong.
use non-able instead of tigers acolyte it gives 7% crit dmg 10 attack and 3% crit chance when maxed
correct me if i'm wrong, but is there a mod available called 'wemod' that increases damage. These records are never on console anyway. i can see why players like games on PC , there are always mods to be found that can alter a LOT of stuff. Players also are trying to find exploits as well. btw i play games on PC as well as console. fairly decent pc is reqd though.
DUDE TOUR AMAZING ! Currently trying to get the build but I see a lot of the stuff is end game 😳
you can also use the Non-Able Spirit that gives you +3 crit chance, +6 crit damage and +10 flat damage it would be more consistant to crit
His deal is, he takes over 100 mana from you.
@@touyang3944 doesnt matter because you apply the buff before then you can switch the spirit and the mana doesnt bother you anymore
@@lookichan7951 ah, you mean after activation. Got it.
@@touyang3944 and if youre on new game you can use the adept spine shooting fuban staff for 25% crit chance and 120 damage
I'd like to see you hit Yin Tiger with this!
I did a crit hit of 23k a couple days ago with Wandering Wight
That’s a lot and also you have to beat most of the game for it. Cool though
i am a bit confused i tested the pilgrim set earlier and never seemd to get the atk increase from running to work with a 3stage heavy attack.
@worgmaniashenanigans2702 launch the attack while you keep moving, if you stop moving or jump, you lose your stacks
@@el-low6663 It's still hit or miss. Just did this to make sure I hadn't been releasing the stick early on accident. It hit once in 7 tries. The animation is variable. The times it hits, your character spins faster and the windup for it takes less time to begin. I don't know why or what causes it though.
Wait I need to see how that works on his second phase because his first phase he has a lower health pool
It doesn’t work in his second phase 😭😭
@@disobeycaligula ah ok make sense
nice vid! Where is the 4th gauge from the Jingubang weap?
I don't see why you use Lingering Aroma as a third relic since with Spell Binder you will not cast any more spells except that first spellbinder. I would use it for something else.
You casting spell binder boost that first attack lol
@@raimundrodriguez yes like I said only boost that first attack, better use the relic perk on something else
@@SuhandiWijaya The other two are not much better. In One Breath is used for Ring of Fire and Hold bread only increases dodge invisibility duration
And dont forget the mind gore to bosst your mana pool ^^
Hmm, guaranteed item rewards aside, how is the drop rate for the talisman when farming? Wonder if there’s drop rate gear to make farming easier. Giga damage one shots, not bad. But where’s the giga broken drop rate stuff right?
aint no way this makes sense, my stats are literally all higher and even with a crit it's not 1-shotting him
Smash stance gang rise up!
here i am 4 hours in trying the last boss looking for easy ways out
You know there is a second phase of that fight....
i thought i was the only one lol kinda risky to do all this knowing that the 2nd phase is where he's more aggressive. 1st-3rd phase was relatively easy/doable, but the 4th phase is something else.
I just need a mid level crit build.
That boss is missable if you complete Ch3. It’s not there for me, funny enough I found that arena before this video and was hella confused that it had no boss
Thanks for the build =). Lmao, I upgrade full for that. I hope I see this video sooner, this would save my time with spellbinder =).
Hey ther i was using tyhis build and discovered a lot of this info on my own, just want to let u know that non abloe spirit at max is much better as u get 10 Atack, 3 crit rate and 6 crit power i think this isw better then 10 crit power
I have the exact same gear and skills unlocked on both stances...
Somehow my unsealed stat in attack is 147 and sealed goes to 245 only...
Did the game get a debuff or something?
Good luck on final boss wukong he’s just gunna step out the way and jump you’d be lucky to even hit him with a heavy attack
i beat him with this just took a few tries
Hell yeah bro lessgooo
Crazy good find..im stubborn i take hardest roads possible
Same, trying to rely only on my staff + perfect dodges. I just finished chapter 3 but I try to beat all the bosses from every chapter before moving on, I don't want to be over leveled for anything. This damn blacksmith is no joke.
Thank you bro😢😢😢😢😢😢
Now go do that to the secret boss at the end
funny seeing this as I was thinking of using this on him😅😅😅😅
@@alexm1644 I'd like to see it it works well enough to do at least half his health. Because fuck that guy
