There are central boards, there are state boards, there are open schools (where you can study on your own and take an exam whenever you are ready and exam happens every single day of the year and the question is paper is randomly generated for a candidate), there are religious boards etc.
It’s the same here in india,11th and 12th are considered as junior college,and after that its called senior college.
In India also 11 ,12 is called inter college and also senior secondary
