  • Mr Lloyd Kuveka, Deputy Director of the University of Pretoria Centre for Human Rights chaired a media conference on 13 December 2021 that raises loud alarm about the state of policing in South Africa.
For seven years the family of murdered Bafana Bafana football captain Senzo Meyiwa are still waiting for justice. The South African Police and Prosecuting Authorities were making progress, and had suspects in sight. But Minister of Police Bheki Cele interfered.
Suddenly a breakthrough was announced. Five suspects were arrested. Not the suspects originally identified.
Former police officer turned lawyer, Advocate Malaselo Daniel Teffo was appointed by the Meyiwa family with a watching brief. His investigations showed up blatant contradictions and anomalies,
According to Ms Mapisa, the sister of one of the five township youths in custody, they were cruelly scapegoated, suggesting that the seven people who were in the house to witness the murder, were being protected.
When Advocate Teffo was himself arrested and intimidated by the police, suspicion mounted that a massive cover up was underway.
    Why?
This video features a detailed presentation with Advocate Teffo, Sifiso Meyiwa (brother of Senzo), and Ms Mapisa laying bare the facts of a scenario that fingers Bheki Cele and the top structure of the SAPS as obstructing justice for apparently political ends.
A client of Adv Teffo, Ms Patricia Mashele explains her own ordeal as a whistleblower on wrongdoing in the SAPS firearms registry in Bloemfontein, and how Adv Teffo's representation has been her only help.
Whistleblower advocate John Clarke and former SAPS Police Reservist Aris Danikas who blue the whistle on the Cato Manor Unit commanded by General Johan Booysen, offers insights on how to stop further retaliation on Advocate Teffo and other witness bearers.
Veteran Violence Monitor Dr Mary de Haas offers her interpretation and analysis, explaining how Minister Bheki Cele has very dubious friends: apartheid era police who remain highly influential, including Johan Booysen.
She highlights the case of the merciless retaliation against whistleblower on local government corruption Thabiso Zulu to illustrate.
Dr Marj Jobson of Khulumani Support Centre highlights the priorities facing South Africa, if we are not to drift further from a Captured State to a Police State.
After the conference, participants learned that Minister Bheki Cele had awarded a medal to General Johan Booysen.
The day after the conference, as predicted, further warrants of arrest were served on Advocate Teffo and Patricia Mashale.
Please circulate this video far and wide. Lives could well depend on it.

"It's not difficult to tell someone about the robbery it's difficult because they are busy making up the story " Sifiso is giving us a good picture.

Can the high court demand the step down of Bheki Cele as the minister of police. It is very clear that The minister of police by so called Bheki Cele cannot be trusted to handle such portfolio and he already failed SA citizens dismally. If Justice is only practiced for only people who doesn't have money, this is a disgrace from fellow citizens.

I personally was in the defunct SAP as a police officer for 14 years, what Adv Teffo is alluding is correct and very genuine, u can see even in his narrative that there's no lies in his tongue 😛. We who knows how the police works, we were always startled what is Beki Cele doing Pertaining this case, why is he so interested, what is he going to benefit, bcs clearly & frankly speaking if you are & were in the force you could see that his efforts are very sinister & questionable in it's subleity especially by someone who is totally unsophisticated as far as probing of such a case is concerned, Beki Cele belongs to the parliament, Beki Cele is a politician, he has never been a recruit or a sdididi for that matter, he is a haasman the police man of the old understand what I'm saying, that's why SITHOLE was aquitted as if he doesn't know his job, Beki Cele was the course.

Most if not all parties involved in this case have lost something. Be it a loved one, be it trust, be it professional reputation, be it faith in the justice system. Hope this case gains the traction.
