If one is an non believer, with the Music of Bach it is the heavenly food of the soul..and with this incredible Interpretation of the Dorian on such an magnificent organ is JUST AMAZING...Thank you Mr. Scott..you are indeed blessed...bring the Dead back to Life!!!! BIG FAN
One of my favourites; thank you, Jonathan. That Bolton Parish Church looks impressive; Lord Peter Wimsey would have said "a young cathedral" (reference to "The Nine Tailors" [Dorothy L. Sayers]).Thank you again! 😀
It would be fascinating to sit in on one of Jonathan's rehearsals. Especially when he's practicing his pedal work! ---I also can't help wondering what Tom is thinking as the music is playing and he's busy with the videography!
I love it when Jonathan plays his Victoriana - it's just so entertaining and enjoyable. But the ascetic in me echoes the words of Sir Charles Stanford when looking over a student's orchestral score: "But what does it sound like on the piano?". And here Jonathan shows that he can play Bach immaculately. I particularly liked the beautifully-phrased pedal work.
Fantastic! Wonderfully played and registered as per usual! The camera work and recording are first class yet again and need to be mentioned in their own right. Tom, you do amazing work both as a musician and behind the camera and microphones - a formidable duo!
Amazing if you consider what Bach had at his disposal ... a feather quill and a pot of ink ... to produce the music that he did is well beyond my imagination.
Gracias Jonathan.
Bravo!! Magnificent! This is my favourite Bach piece and you played with such clarity and precision. You play with such feeling that it comes out in the music you play. Thank you for playing this and posting it.
Excellent as always! Saved immediately into my A JS Bach playlist. JS for Jonathan Scott, of course. 'A' recently added so your playlists are top of the list. 😉😁❤🎹🎶
Lovely. I've long thought the "Dorian" pieces are tragically undervalued (BWV 565 gets all the hype :). Here's hoping you have the chance to do the fugue someday as well!
In questa interpretazione ho notato qui e là qualche mordente e gruppetti che non credo siano nella partitura originale ma che non risultano eccessivi e al contrario esprimono l'originalità dell'esecuzione. Complimenti vivissimi e grazie della condivisione.

BWV 538 is the TRUE toccata and fugue in D minor to me
In questa interpretazione ho notato qui e là qualche mordente e gruppetti che non credo siano nella partitura originale ma che non risultano eccessivi e al contrario esprimono l'originalità dell'esecuzione. Complimenti vivissimi e grazie della condivisione.
Love!!!!!

Toccata Bwv 538 é majestosa. Amei.

Can console be moved? Is it electronically connected to the organ proper via that cable? Sounds awesome. Cheers!
