At 21:29, there's a mistake in the Saytzeff rule. The compound reacting with NaOH(alc) should be CH3CH2CH(Cl)CH3 [2-chloropropane]. I missed a Hydrogen atom at the end (Carbon No 1) Also, at 34:26, the carboxylic acid produced from hydrolysis of Propanenitrile should be CH3CH2COOH (Propanoic acid), I wrote CH3COOH(ethanoic acid) by mistake. Furthermore, at 34:35, the amine produced from reduction of Propanenitrile should be CH3CH2CH2NH2 (propyl amine), I wrote CH3CH2NH2 (ethyl amine) by mistake. at 17:21 for production of halogenoalkanes you have mentioned 1) free radical substitution 2) electrophilic addition of hydrogen halides to alkenes (for this the reagent should be concentration hydrogen halides bcuz alkenes dont react with dilute HX) and furthermore but i think there is one missing which is... M) electrophilic addition of halogens to alkenes (condition is R.T)
He did mention it tho... And it's elimination, not electrophilic addition, with NaOH and an ethanol solvent, forming the alkene, a sodium salt and water

I don't know if you're a Philippine 9:58 (weaker) and 16:34 (occurs) or an Indian (the way you say carbocation) , guessing from the accent, no offence. Very helpful video, you're definitely a life saver! Btw, at 16:48 is that supposed to be CH3COOH (ethanoic acid)? It's written HO1C-CO1H
Yes! Thank you for pointing that out. I actually plan to make a separate video on IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy soon! Keep your eyes on the channel
Yes! That should be enough. But i’d suggest doing all variants from 2021, specimen paper 2022 and feb march 2022 if you have the time. Since the exam tomorrow will follow the pattern from these years. I have them uploaded in my channel if you need some help. Good luck!

Does this cover all of organic chemistry? The exam is in a couple of days and i cant focus on reading so this video is all i have other than the past papers I'll solve
@@CAIEPapersSolved I see, thanks! By the way, what do you mean by K? For example you mentioned KSO4 in the formation of haloalkanes by reacting HBr with alcohol, and you mentioned KCN while explaining nucleophilic substitution
hi the chemistry mcq paper did not go well and I dont think i'll be able to secure a good grade. Can you please tell me how other students found it and what they think the threshold will be? How did you students find the paper 2? what will be the overall for both p1 and p2? I'm so sorry for stressing you
Hey! It’s fine. Everyone is saying that both p1 and p2 were a bit more difficult than usual. So don’t worry. The threshold will surely be lower than normal. Focus on your next exam.
Hello. For elimination, ethanolic naoh, you could actually check the mark scheme for M/J 2021 variant 21, they mentioned ethanol+heat (under reflux). So you could mention it if you want since its correct. Same goes for hydrolysis of halogenoalkanes using naoh(aq). In the syllabus content reflux wasn’t mentioned thats why I didn’t include it in the video. But you’re right!
@@CAIEPapersSolved Thank you so much, sir, you are awesome GOD BLESS YOU !!! One more thing sir, I will be grateful if you respond, when we react alcohols to form halogenoalkanes is HX a gas or aqueous? Since in past papers they sometimes put HI (g) and then sometimes Concentrated HCl? What do I do in these situations?
Typically HX is gaseous, but sometimes they but aq. This is because they usually get HX by reaction NaX with conc. H2So4, which occurs in situ(inside the reaction vessel) and with heat under reflux, so it tends to be aqueous. But I think its safest to give HX(g) if its standalone and nothing else is mentioned.
@@CAIEPapersSolved thank you so much sir, I was wondering then it I put HX aqueous and under reflux would that be considered wrong and I will be penalized?
