Chad, I've had teachers bring their students out ,Saw a chicken lay fresh egg. Said in front of her class that egg came from dirty chicken butt, I will never eat another one. Makes you wonder 🤔 A teacher? Just unbelievable
Chad, this was explained by a nutritionist at a vitamin store I used to go to. There are different types of CBD but ALL have the halucigen removed. The compounds are mixed for different things such as stress, anxiety, achy bones, achy joints etc. So you have to find the right one that will work for you. So, people going nuts over CBD because they think it is weed need to do some research and they will find that it is no different than a person taking any other drug for an ailment. I am so glad this is working for Smokey. She is such a good dog.
My grandmother said her dad grew hemp plants in the chicken pens. She said the chickens ate seeds from the plants. It made their chickens lay more eggs. Greetings from Southeastern Kentucky.
I remember when Adler could walk up to red(the turkey) and hug her. I have no idea why she got so aggressive! And especially with you since you have fed her from the beginning!
Chad, I live out in desert of Phoenix, Arizona. I'm a native so my blood is thin. Being able to eat animals U have raised can be hard if U aren't use to it. Which I understand. Our 1st hog that was raised as a pet from a baby. When Porkey came down from our ranch in the pines up north from Phoenix to our farm she had gotten kicked by a horse 1 time after we had gotten back from moving our steers. When they were moved back down for the winter & be sold Porkey couldn't handle the heat down here so she was put down & sent to the meat locker. She was a good hog & provide alot of meat for us. They learned everything's it takes to be on a farm/feedlot/ranch as my folks were stilling on our family land. Here's something U can laugh at, I'm a farmer's Daughter who married a Phoenix Police Office. I've been with my husband for 42yrs now. When people ask if I would ever marry again if something happen to him I always tell them NO I'M A CRAZY FARMER'S DAUGHTER & BEEN MARRIED TO A COP & I'm MEAN NO GUY COULD STAND ME LOL. Hey Chad. Chickens are nothing more than mini dinosaurs with feathers. Lol. I do believe that your dad is slowly coming to terms with the fact that some farms animals are raised for their meat and it's okay for him to eat and like them even though he helped raised them.
michelle thornton That’s funny my next door neighbors had a mean rooster. He would come charging over and my husband would call him the velocirooster. He looked exactly like the ones on Jurassic park. He also would nail us if he could. I had to throw a coke can at him once.
Hi Chad, Watching you and Grandpa’s cold weather videos. Here in the Florida panhandle we’re in the low 40’s and will be in the 20’s on Saturday. That’s cold for this area. Love watching the Adler family videos . It’s your farm, you feed your animals how you want, I’m sure if you have any questions you have enough farmers friends to ask their opinion. Take care of yourself and those young men of yours.
I know glasses aren't what any of us want, but it's great to be able to see, and yours look good on you. I really like the Highlands shelter. Maybe they'll use it when it's raining. It's new to them and makes scary sounds, but they'll get used to it eventually. If not you have extra materials for something else later! Blessings, Texas Deb 😁

I think we have had our winter. A foot of snow the day after Christmas. Temps in the teens. Snow is melted. It was 38 and foggy today. I was gardening in a tee shirt. Hope your pipes don’t freeze.
Okay Chad.... it's 49 degrees @7:23p.m. here in Columbia, SC. We have a winter storm advisory for Friday into Saturday morning...rain,snow and sleet. Here in South Carolina we get a little rain people act crazy can you imagine how they act with snow and ice....lol! Have a good one....
I'm glad Smokey is doing so well on her treats, it's fun seeing how much she enjoys her zoomies now. I need to look into something similar for me since you can't get the meds I used to use anymore. Love your rain shelter, they just have to get used to this strange, new thing.
I know from personal experience that turkeys can be mean. As a child, my great uncle's tom on his hog farm used to chase people. I am only 4'11' at 70 yrs old & was small as a child & that turkey was huge & loved to chase me. I cannot imagine being as tall as you, but when I was young, tall guys liked to date me. My late hubby was tall..Your shelter looks nice but who knows if the hairy coos will use it. I just love to see what trouble Batman is going to cause on every video!
We give our chickens everything, left overs which they love, they pick it clean veggie peel etc. Old bread.. No onion or potato or avocado. You can give cooked potato. Grass cuttings and cutoff from garden veggies.
It's cold here in Mississippi this morning at 30 but (not as cold as when I lived in Michigan) looks like will be even colder tomorrow.. winter is here.. keep warm everyone ❤
Well I have to say you did a nice job on the walk through . I see it as you have given them everything they need and more great job. Know it's up to them if they want to use it or not. You and your dad take very good care of the animals and it shows. Bless you.
Foghorn is great all the chickens are great Smokey is a very good dog on your farm . Goats are great and pigs are too and all animal . The highlands are so very cool . Love them highlands .❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️looks great Chad , you done a great job
It's also got good calcium cuz always the bones and cartilage in the skin all of that has really good protein but also really good calcium and potassium and all that good stuff
The run through tunnel shelter looks good 😊! That wind was crazy, just made it feel like it was freezing 🥶! I hope you didn’t get sick 🤒. Thank you for sharing, take care 🤗💕!
Shelbyville, IL. Cubes to these Highlands is like grabbing a small single serving of chips to eat. Doesn’t fill you up but it keeps you going. The difference is that the cubes are actually good for them.
Here in Porterville Ca. 49 and foggy. I did not know that chicken would eat cooked chicken. Love your videos That wind was so loud. Hope you don't get sick. I will say a prayer.
Always enjoy watching you and your families videos. Thank you for great quality viewing. The current temperature here where Santa stays on the Mexican beach after Christmas is 84f 🌴🏝
Great job Chad on the shelter. You look good in your glasses, I know they are a pain but sure beats missing your turn.I wear them also when I drive. I never knew chickens we so savage lol, but even more I can't believe some thought you were feeding baby chick's to precious Smokie lol. That sort of has to Crack ya up and roll ya on the floor laughing.
That was hilarious... Now all y'all can sleep at night... Grandpa! Too funny. I don't think they're going to use it either LOL I was reading that Highland cows can stay in snowy storm conditions without issues LOL.... however the cow panels and Gates you put up Chad, gave me an idea of a chicken Coop! LOL..... like your other Chicken Coop she have your birds in that they're in cages right? But doing something like you just did now you can really do a nice size affordable Chicken Coop or turkey pen or even a quail pen.....hmmm
There are several folks in the homestead community with chicken tractors made of cattle panels. Thinking of doing that myself. Mine currently free range, but I'm thinking about raising particular breeds for the local 4H kids.
@@PurePondering that is so awesome to know! Especially if you could save hundreds on making a chicken coop and making it portable that makes a double bonus.
Just FYI, I am watching your video at 9:39 PM Thursday, Jan 20th, in Frankfort, KY, and the temp is 23 degrees. High today was 32 and low was 19. Don't know about the wind chill factor but it was windy when I when out to feed my horses.
Might have early cataracts beginning. Get your ophthalmologist to check. I developed an eye issue 11 months ago. Scary. Improved now and may finally get mew glasses next month.
The protection tunnel looks good, job well done. That wind is wicked huh, blowing here in St Louis to beat the band. Friday morning watching this at 6 a.m. and it is 6 degrees.🥶🥶
Hello Adler farms. Chicken die sometimes. I like your little hut for the Highlands. I'm with you on putting a panel on one end to slow the wind. When I look at the hut from a distance, if it had a wagon wheel on each end it would look like a covered wagon. Thanks for sharing It was -12 this morning in Iowa high of 0, back to -14 tonight wind chill of -35 burr I'm ready for spring. Be safe 🥸
Yes chickens do die for unknown reasons, even young ones . Body size is so small ( like a child's is) that when they get sick it becomes critical fast . Your "She Gone" is a phrase from a favorite of mine, an ALONE tv show participant in season 3 and 4 I think, has a great u tube site called Girl in the Woods .
@@lindapettinicchi6094 Lester has a run-in barn for the large chickens. Only one of big concern was Tina as she was recovering from a wound and laying in a puddle in pouring rain. All the animals have access to shelters if they want to use them.

Miss my chickens the most when I throw away food scraps. Chickens love all the food scraps. The first time I gave my chickens the carcus of turkey from thanks giving...I was shocked they loved it. But they did.
I got those hemp chews for my dog, thanks to your videos! She loves them and I have seen a huge improvement in less than a week! Thank you for sharing the information, Chad...and Georgia Rose sends a smooshy kiss...lol (She's an American Bulldog)

This was kinda hard to watch. I cried through the whole video. Thanks for sharing the memories. Please share some more if you can. I think we all loved all the animals. Smoky ,Fred, Tessy, and more.
cool run through .I enjoy your videos and your sense of humor. That wind was making me cold and I was sitting on my sofa and grabbed my blanket lol I can't do the chilling wind any more Stay warm.

Here in Porterville Ca. 49 and foggy. I did not know that chicken would eat cooked chicken. Love your videos That wind was so loud. Hope you don't get sick. I will say a prayer.
Wow Chad that wind is whistling. I think to me your cows look well feed.
Always enjoy watching you and your families videos. Thank you for great quality viewing. The current temperature here where Santa stays on the Mexican beach after Christmas is 84f 🌴🏝
Hey Chad! Good to see you!
Great job Chad. I think you are the only youtuber that makes me laugh alot and I watch alot of RUclipsrs. 😀😊
Every time I see the coos the are standing in line. They really are the Three Amigos. They just
I think if it hadn't been as windy you may have had more success getting Fred through the tunnel/runthrough. Nice job on it.👍
That was hilarious...
Fantastic idea!
Hi Chad 42 degrees 7:08 1/20 feels like 34 La Porte Texas
That’s too funny! Those chickens don’t give a rip about eggs. They are little dinosaurs! Carnivores!
The protection tunnel looks good, job well done. That wind is wicked huh, blowing here in St Louis to beat the band. Friday morning watching this at 6 a.m. and it is 6 degrees.🥶🥶
Great job on the highland shelter
How old are the highlands
Hello Adler farms. Chicken die sometimes. I like your little hut for the Highlands. I'm with you on putting a panel on one end to slow the wind. When I look at the hut from a distance, if it had a wagon wheel on each end it would look like a covered wagon. Thanks for sharing It was -12 this morning in Iowa high of 0, back to -14 tonight wind chill of -35 burr I'm ready for spring. Be safe 🥸
Keep warm
Yes chickens do die for unknown reasons, even young ones . Body size is so small ( like a child's is) that when they get sick it becomes critical fast . Your "She Gone" is a phrase from a favorite of mine, an ALONE tv show participant in season 3 and 4 I think, has a great u tube site called Girl in the Woods .
@@lindapettinicchi6094 Lester has a run-in barn for the large chickens. Only one of big concern was Tina as she was recovering from a wound and laying in a puddle in pouring rain. All the animals have access to shelters if they want to use them.
What breed is Sadie? She sure is cute. Grampa is probably already looking for pallets for the new wind block.
🙋🏼♀️🕊…Looks like in between the two tree looks like a nice place . The trees would help break the wind as well .good luck 🍀🍀🍀🕊blessings to you and your family 🕊🕊🕊looks good. ❄️
Houdy Chad, lower 20s in my area of S. E. Tex tonight blowing rain can really ruin the chicken feed.
Miss my chickens the most when I throw away food scraps. Chickens love all the food scraps. The first time I gave my chickens the carcus of turkey from thanks giving...I was shocked they loved it. But they did.
Chad there growing so fast. I love both you kids but the baby is the sweetest every
Lol lol lol love your videos...my daytime driving is good but I do not belong on the roads after dark....

I got those hemp chews for my dog, thanks to your videos! She loves them and I have seen a huge improvement in less than a week! Thank you for sharing the information, Chad...and Georgia Rose sends a smooshy kiss...lol (She's an American Bulldog)
Would you mind providing the info on the chews? A friend has two very arthritic dogs who might benefit from taking this supplement.
@@sharonmissler3715 Chad has a link in the description box, for Dog Hemp chews on Amazon. My dog didn't care for them (he's picky or spoiled, lol), but I found the Missing Link brand works for him. I hope your friends find something to help their dogs. It's so nice of you to try to help them. You're a good friend!
@@joycehanson977 Thank you for the information, Joyce!
@@sharonmissler3715 You're welcome! I hope it helps!
This was kinda hard to watch. I cried through the whole video. Thanks for sharing the memories. Please share some more if you can. I think we all loved all the animals. Smoky ,Fred, Tessy, and more.
That’s a cool wind shelter for the Highlands I like hope they use it
