Heard a snap at the gym, on the shoulder machine. Sounded like a bunch of twigs sapping behind me. 3.5 years ago, I’ve been in pain since. No answers from the Dr.s, I get better, then I get worse. A few times I thought I was healed but still no luck. The pain travels and presents itself in different ways everyday making it hard to pin point it down for Dr’s to understand what is happening.

I had stem cell therapy to the C4-C5 area which alleviated the chronic pain in that area. But the nerve damage under my left scapula has never improved in nearly 4 years. I’m gonna to try to see a neurologist next.

@@AnahataOpals Well, after more than 4 years, I decided to finally undergo artificial disc replacement (ADR) surgery. At the time I got injured, the FDA hadn’t yet approved the M6 appliance which upper and lower are parts made of ceramic instead of metal (eg “Movi C). The flexible “joint” part is also different in that it allows flexion laterally just like a human disc.
As far as the Mobi C, I was reading in an FB group that some patients experience agony and/or discomfort when the weather gets cold. The other down side of ADR appliances with metal is that they throw off any future MRIs. The ceramic parts of the M6 supposedly don’t cause that problem. Also, if the metal parts aren’t PURE titanium, but some kind of alloy, it could negatively impact your entire immune systems.
I ultimately believe that regenerative medicine is the way of the future, but I think we’re still in the early stages of this revolution. In the not-too-distant future, many of the irreversible surgeries that are regularly performed are gonna look like medieval times.

I've learned back flipping recently and a day ago I was back flipping on a trampoline and I froze mid back flip high in the air and landed right on neck, my entire body and all my weight landed and compressed my spine quick. Throughout that day I didn't really feel a stiff neck or severe pain, it was just this morning when I started feeling a sharp pain when I move my neck. I researched about this and assumed this was whiplash. It's not too painful anymore after I have been doing neck exercises and ice packs. I am 15 years old, when will it be necessary to see a doctor? I've been worried all day if this can be life threatening.

Hi Anbush0, So sorry to hear about your very recent trampoline accident! If you have a doctor, please call them to ask for advice. In our office, as described in this and many of our other cervical spine videos, we specialize in cases where neck injuries like what you've described did not heal on their own and the person began experiencing progressively worsening symptoms relating to neck pain, headaches, vision, hearing, speech and other autonomic nervous system problems. That does not happen in every case of whiplash, but in ones where it does and the person goes through multiple static scans like MRI and CT without finding "anything," we take a look at what is happening in the neck during motion- Digital Motion X-ray. Please, contact your doctor and get their advice on if you should continue home care remedies or be seen in person for an exam of some kind. We wish you a speedy recovery and that you'll be back to full activity soon. If this is not the case and you develop symptoms that do not resolve, our team would be happy to help. You can always reach out to us directly through our website to discuss your case privately and we'll see if you sound like a good candidate for our clinics. Here if you need us. All the best to you.

I’ve had a few incidents that whiled my head forward and back and never had treatment. Now years later I have been struggling with all kinds of pain (4 years of it) neck stiffness, pain in my neck, left side more along with pain in my upper spin, upper back ribs, I also have a dark skin patch on the left side between my shoulder blades that itches all the time and is sore all the time. I feel pain in my shoulders too. I have been seeing a chiropractor for the last month and a half but because I am pregnant there’s not much that she can do for me is what she said and I have to wait until I give birth and I don’t even know if she’s actually going to know or help or heal me. I’ve had massages, seen a chiropractor, had physiotherapy at two different places, had acupuncture and nothing has taken this pain away. I’ve just been spending all my insurance coverage for the last four years and never had any relief. I just want it to go away!! My chiropractor that I see now (different from the first one) told me that I need to stop working out my upper body (which sucks because I wanted an active pregnancy) and she gave me neck stretches to do because she said that I keep tearing the ligaments and there’s a lot of scar tissue that must be there. I cannot get an x-ray because I’m pregnant so I’ll have to wait until after the babies born. And extra cheese don’t really do anything I’m still constantly sore all day all night and stiff neck I feel like I could just rip my head off and maybe I’d feel better because with this constant pain and stiffness in my neck and shoulders is awful.

I had a severe concussion about 3.5 years ago and was thrown off a horse. I hit my head twice in the fall and I think when I hit the ground my neck ricocheted. I had symptoms for more than a year and they thought I had seizures and we were testing for that and heart issues and I have neither thank God. We were all so preoccupied with my head that we didnt really check my neck. My neck has been super tight lately and I had an x ray but they didnt say anything was wrong. I dont know if I carry stress in my neck or what is happening. I was in an accident 8 months ago and this is the closest to what I've been trying to explain to all of my doctors. Now I at least don't feel like I'm crazy or not explaining myself properly. I'm gonna have to try advocating more for myself now.
I've tried pretty much every therapy (trigger point, epidural, nerve block, nerve ablation, PT, Chiro, Massage, Acupuncture, Ortho, Neuro). They all helped a little but the pain was starting to become my normal).
I just tried Botox over a week ago and I've got more movement, the pain I had has changed to a new pain, similar to exercising an area you just had surgery on. I am finding times that I get a pain that causes a really bad headache and nausea.
Any thoughts on the change of pain and headaches? Can you recommend any type of therapy that I might not know exists?
Thank you for this video, it really helped me with all of this.

That eventually wore off about a week in.. but I started experiencing a lot of other weird things after that. It’s my first accident, I didn’t know much about any of it.
Fast forward from September 9 th I’m now having severe headaches behind my ear at the base of my head , it is like sharp stabbing pain and tightness that radiates as warm heat down into my upper shoulders, I’m a extremely nauseous 24-7 , & I am having brachycardia and trachycardia. Never experienced this before. The brachycardia makes me feel dizzy and like I can’t catch my breath. Is it possible to have heart rate problems from neck instability!? @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 года назад +1

Hi ZeBeFruity, Thanks for reaching out. Sneezing may aggravate cervical instability but the head impact incident is what really stands out in what you said. As we discuss in the video, the long-term effects after a head impact can worsen over time as the instability increases. To determine cervical instability, we use Digital Motion X-ray in our center and do a detailed medical history review, and physical exam to determine what is the root cause of the symptoms and develop an appropriate treatment plan to stabilize the spine. Wish you all the best in health.

I thought I was losing my mind. I was involved in an accident almost 4 yrs ago I've had constant neck stiffness. I do neck stretches gone to about 4 different chiropractors and it hasn't felt any better. Now that I am working doing office work my fingers mainly my middle and index finger start to go numb. It happened when I first got in the accident also but I had stopped working prior to the accident and I was staying home. Now I'm getting that burning pain down my arm again numbness in my fingers and light headedness. I just want to feel better already.

Thanks for the informative video! Two years ago I was rear ended by someone who was going 60km/h while I was nearly at a stop. I was diagnosed with a mild concussion and most of the symptoms went away after two weeks. Since then I've had chronic neck/shoulder pain, dizziness that took about 6 months to mostly go away, and recently I've been experiencing a general pins and needles feeling all over. Could this pins and needles feeling be related to the car accident?

Hi Belen, Glad the video was helpful. Thanks for the question. Those types of nerve pain/sensations are something we commonly see in patients who have sustained a whiplash or physical trauma and are still dealing with the progressive symptoms related to cervical instability. If you would like our help with your case and see if you sound like a good candidate for our neck center, we would be happy to review your case more closely. We wish you all the best in health and obtaining a more complete recovery! Take care for now.

Hi Conaill o Brien, So sorry to hear that you are so young and have had to deal with that kind of chronic pain for so long! We do treat teenagers in our clinics for post-whiplash and we are able to do specialized motion scanning called DMX that can often pinpoint what other providers have not been able to find, especially if they have only been doing MRI or CT while you're laying still. There are also other factors that we can assess too as far as your cervical curve and head positioning. Since you are 13, we would ask that your parent/guardian read over our website to become more familiar with our clinics and then reach out to us for a more detailed case review where we can talk with you and your family directly (possibly over Skype) and take a look at any pertinent records from the other doctors' visits you've had. Wish you all the best in finding the solution for your headaches! Take care.

Hi Rico, Sorry about your whiplash. As PA Matias explains more in the video, ligaments have a short window of healing ability. After that, they can become loose and lead to worsening symptoms over time. It is very common for people have worse symptoms a year or longer after a whiplash than they did initially after the accident. We have many videos on our channel about the symptoms caused by chronic spinal instability, if you wanted to delve further into the topic. Our center specializes in helping these chronic cases finally repair the ligament damage and restore the stability of the spine so the person can go on with their life. If you would like our team to review your case in more detail, feel free to reach out anytime: www.caringmedical.com/conditions/prolotherapy-neck-pain-cervical-instability/#get-help-now

I got in a major car accident one and half year ago. A truck rear ended the vehicle I was in at about 30m/h when we were stopped. So, I assumed whiplash immediately. But:
It is insane how all these videos say the same thing: "Go to a physician and take x-rays from the head and neck area". My doctor said it wasn't necessary and the pain will go away. One and a half year later and I still have blurred vision, fatigue, oversensitive to light and so on. This makes me so angry that I didn't get the treatment I needed AND wanted. No doctor told me that I have whiplash. No one. They all said it was only acceleration deceleration trauma. They said on the day of my accident that I would feel a bit of neckpain and that would be it. The first week I didn't even have neckpain. Only extremely dissy and restless. But I will try to get better. I have an osteopath who helps me with my brain fog, but nothing more than that. I still can't concetrate for longer than one and half hour, I can't go out for too long (max 4 hours) anymore (I am 19). So it's really depressing but also exciting to see all these videos now that give the recognition I was looking for. I live in the Netherlands so the options I have are really limited.

I do know the impact was bad enough to break the computer in my engine, and i was even closer to the suv! My body is in very bad shape. Tho my xrays show a devastated neck and spine, doctors cant figure out a way to treat it so they say just live with it. Recently i was in the hospital for 8 days and the doctors were unaware of a prescription and they refused it the whole time i was there. Within 3 days my whole body stiffened and i have been suffering quite badly ever since. Even before the great stiffening, I was actually taken to the hospital after a bystander observed my back and they called 911 to report a seizure lol. Yeah, its THAT bad! Im so tired of this cycle, very hopeful prolotherapy may have aome answers!

i think i might have whiplash, it’s just my shoulders hurt, weird bruises on my neck, some arm pain, leg pain, upper back pain, leg numbness, arm numbness, and everytime i move my back or neck it hurts, i’m not sure if those are symptoms but please let me know! i was on a wooden roller coaster and i just remember hurting my neck really bad on it, so that’s why i’m wondering if some of those are symptoms, i do have a lot on the list you shown.

Hi Cassandra, So sorry to hear that. How awful! What our experience has been is the type of motion like riding a rickety roller coaster or a jet ski can take some people who may have not known there was a structural problem of spinal instability/ligament laxity happening and push it to the point where they begin to get symptoms. We discuss some of these cases in our Digital Motion X-ray (DMX) case reviews and vagus nerve/cervical instability playlists on our channel. You may have already checked some of those out too. We would be happy to review your specific case in more detail and see if it sounds like you'd be a good candidate for our center. Feel free to reach out to us directly to discuss your case either on our CaringMedical.com site, email or call us. Wish you all the best in health and finding the optimal treatment that will resolve your nerve symptoms!

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  4 года назад +1

Hi darsh bv, Sorry that you are suffering from severe, chronic neck pain! Your case sounds like the majority of patients who we treat here. We specialize in finding the cause of chronic, painful neck conditions and seeing what MRI cannot and then treating the structural cause with Comprehensive Prolotherapy, curve correction, or whatever is needed to alleviate the pain by fixing the reason the pain started in the first place. We do not believe that pain is due to a medication deficiency, and there are reasons why working only the muscles such as in physiotherapy can have temporary results in cases of chronic neck pain. We look to ligament laxity in those cases which can be determined by digital motion x-ray and physical exam. If you would like our team to review your case in more detail and see if you sound like a good candidate for our clinics, we would be happy to help. Feel free to reach out to us directly through our website, email, or phone. Wish you all the best in health!
