Disrespectful? What!? Craig clearly cares a lot about his family, and his families business. I've not seen anything in the videos which had made me think the way he speaks to his parents is disrespectful. We're just becoming subjected to a lot of family/inside jokes, but its obvious they're joking and its not meant to be taken personally.
I think some people's family dynamics are so different that they just don't get it. My youngest son and I always fool around and when his friends were younger they always thought we were arguing, but we have always just teased each other. :)
Agreed! It's important to understand family dynamics and culture when you're an outsider. For example, the C word is seen by many Americans as highly insulting and a vulgar term for the female genitals. However, in Great Britain and Australia its often used as a term of endearment amongst friends and is not meant to be insulting at all. We should not get offended for other people especially if we don't understand their family dynamics or culture they're from.
Me every morning: "Ok, healthy eating and no sweets starts today" Me ten minutes later: "Oh look Hercules Candy put up a new video. Now I need chocolate." 😩😩😂😂

We have a candy company here in Oklahoma called Bedré. They do chocolate covered Pringles Potato Chips. They don't crush them and they sell them in tube cans just like the Pringles can. They do dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate (my favorite). I tried to make some myself by dipping them in the chocolate, but they came out really thick. They still tasted awesome. Next time I try them, I think I'll use a paint brush to brush on the chocolate to control the thickness. You should really try them though...so so GOOD!!!!

Max I think you and your parents are wonderful. My Mom and I used to joke. One of the funniest times we had was in a store. Back then people bought hats and some were real crazy. My Mom called them church hats. I used to love to come up behind my Mom and put one one her head. I'd tell her how flattering it had was. How it was just the right color for a special occasion. On and on with the so many exaggerations! My mother mom would walk up to the mirror and see the most horrendous, butt ugly, bright pink or aqua or lime green monstrosity on her head...it would have peacock feathers or crazy fuzzy feathers, fruit or sequins for and most of the time she would crack up laugh and couldn't hold back tears sometimes but on other days she would look in the mirror with a smile and admire herself! She'd tell me how right I was thatthe hat was adorable! How could she not love it? Looking at the price she'd add "and look at this! $35.99! Wow! That's a steal! The store must be giving them away! She'd even tell me how much her fellow factory workers would envy her! She had me laughing! Once she put it in our cart and said she'd show it off in church the coming Sunday...I knew she didn't go to church but even the thought of such an ugly hat gracing the Catholic church made me laugh more! My mom was very funny just like your parents and I wouldn't change a thing and I miss her very much! I'd love to have one more day with her trying on crazy hats!!!

Love your vids, but just came to think of one thing. You use these traditional wooden scrub brushes for washing different things, here Max uses one in place of an ordinary dishwashing brush to wash the molds. Those brushes are NOT vegan though, the bristles are pig bristles... If you want a non vegan alternative, Ikea has really good brushes, esp. the ones with a suction cup at the end of the handle are great, very close to natural brushes, with soft bristles, which washes better than the ones you get at supermarkets. I bulk up on them when I am there, since I loved using wooden/animal brushes, but don't want to use them anymore... 😊

The thing is that in some cultures it is disrespectful not to speak to parents as if they were fragile and priceless. They just can’t translate love into jokes. Even a lot of more traditional parents are still like this: my brothers and I have the sort of relationship as the Hercules family but whenever my mum hears us she starts going about respect and family being important when she doesn’t really realise that we already know this but we’re able to banter because of it: we say never get to the point where someone’s feelings might get hurt, we’re each able to say when it’s no longer funny for them, so we stop: that’s being respectful.

Why use gloves and hands to fill molds and chocolate coat things? Why not use piping bags or spoons?

It’s because he’s tempering the chocolate by moving it around , it would be silly to transport it to a different vessel to pipe into the molds.

The thing is that in some cultures it is disrespectful not to speak to parents as if they were fragile and priceless. They just can’t translate love into jokes. Even a lot of more traditional parents are still like this: my brothers and I have the sort of relationship as the Hercules family but whenever my mum hears us she starts going about respect and family being important when she doesn’t really realise that we already know this but we’re able to banter because of it: we say never get to the point where someone’s feelings might get hurt, we’re each able to say when it’s no longer funny for them, so we stop: that’s being respectful.
