Ok, this was an extremely cool video. The A-10 has always been my favorite aircraft since I built a model of one as a nine year old boy; and it grew on me even more as a teenager and adult as I learned about the mechanics, gearing and devices that went into it. From an engineering standpoint, it was amazing. Super-tough, agile, powerful. Plus, beloved by the soldiers on the ground as a guardian angel. Love it all, thanks for posting this.
That's cool! My dad was Army Artillery in Vilseck Germany back in the late 70's, I have nothing but respect for our ground pounding brothers and sisters, Happy Memorial day to all my current and retired service members!
I almost fell out of my chair....3x watching this. Awesome video. I've always love the Warthog. It's the kind of beast machine that makes me proud to be an American. I agree...best A-10 video on the Tube.
This is a great video. Im currently doing AFROTC at Norwich university and its my dream to be an A-10 pilot. This video just fuels the fire. Thank You Sir.
The A-10 must be one of my all time favourite aircraft. It looks like someone just took a bunch of spare parts, and just threw them together. At the same time it looks...rugged and durable. And from what I've read it can take a lot of punishment and still get you home.
My grandfather built these at the Fairchild plant in Hagerstown MD and I remember doing a plant tour as a youngster in the late '70's. I remember the wing spars being fabbed as well as the fuselage and especially the gun sitting on a carriage, Gawd almighty what a gun. I miss the test flights too, that was special since they were family built...
She's a beautiful jet. Beautiful like her namesake the Jug (P-47). I loved the vid and especially the heritage flight shots. I cheered out loud when the F-86 formed up on the Warthog's wing. Thanks for sharing guys, this video is aces.
Despite some of the negative comments, this is one of the best videos I have seen of an A-10 demo. What an amazing aircraft. It may not have the best looks, but it sure does pack a punch! Very nice editing as well.
Awesome music, an even more awesome aircraft. The A-10 is my favorite, most people bash it for its looks, but i love how it looks, it means business and the looks show that. this is the tank of the sky. This can really dish it out, and it can take it as well. It has proven itself over and over. what an epic video, thanks for posting this.
I was stationed with this aircraft in England. Never seen footage like this from inside the plane. thanks for posting it! The formation footage was just too good. I haven't seen the A-10 West team. Just awesome all the way around.
No other plane like this. Fairchild Industries in Hagerstown, MD was the primary contractor. Reminds me of the old A1E prop job "Sandies" of 'Nam that were slow but had a long loiter time for close air support. Well done!
Great clip, best of its kind here on YT regarding Warthog in flight, good choice of music, but I'd love to see same thing with real in-cockpit sound too.
Do people still buy computers without volume control? I get this comment a lot, but I guess civilians don't know that the inside of a fighter jet isn't the same as a Cessna. The pilots have to wear DOUBLE hearing protection because it is friggin LOUD in there! Seriously though, Do people think that it's going to be a quite cockpit vid with the pilot talking like on an airline flight? I really want to know so I can put a disclaimer at the beginning of my descriptions.
COOL, i was in germay in the US ARMY 3RD INF. DIV. 3/7 CAVARLY ARMORED TANKS 1979...WE WERE having war games and all the talk was the new A - 10, AND BOY DID IT PUT ON A SHOW...MY SIDE got the a- 10's, and we kicked butt.
What a beautiful experience, had the chance to fly on an airline plane company (cockpit) and on a small biplane, would love to be able to fly on one of these ones :)
@ELSWJS In the beginning they do, also they utilize a "G" suit combat edge system that inflates around their lower extremites to squeeze the blood back into their upper body.
HOLY CRAP!!!! :) One of the best vids I have Ever seen with the A-10 or any other air craft on youtube. You guys ROCK!! Thank you! You made this former Marine very happy. Good luck. P.S. Where can I get one. He he he.
@andrademeza Gotcha! There are not any two seat A-10s in operation. In the early days Fairchild Republic made one operational two seater for adverse weather flying, but it was deemed not necessary, so no "wizzo" is required!
They actually are opposite. I've seen an A-10 in Korea take off, fly a mission, come back and the crew chief found an 8 foot length of mooring chain in the engine!! It flew an entire mission and didn't give any malfunction indications!
Thank you for the constructive criticism. Your helpful and intelligently conveyed question will be taken into consideration for future video offerings. All the best, Nappy
@USMCAbramsOperator You are partially correct! The vid is a culmination of multiple sites tied into one awesome, edited demonstration. And DM is one of them, you can see the bone yard in one of the camera shots off the wing.
@napEhair thats nice, i would like to see no music version too, so thank you in advance! .. and may i ask, does this show version of A-10 got real cannon ? (i mean for right distribution of weight .. )
There are two structural members that form the forward canopy glass on the A-10. The "Blind Spots" are negligible due to the fact that navigation and aiming are accomplished through the HUD. So..Yes and no.
@alegit123456 , The A-10 Doesn't have the fancy "Fly by wire" system like all the newest fighters, it's an old school system that is augmented hydraulically, but that is also the source of it's strength and reliability!
@LucidDream101 It can lose 1 3rd of the surface area and still fly. and yes, an A-10 successfully lost its wing up to the slat and still was able to make it back to base.
That's a complicated question, my pilot has been flying since he could climb in an airplane and with college and AF pilot selection and training, you could be looking at least a few years.
@636Castle , You're right, we have a safety officer on the ground watching and calling the stop for the vertical roll, plus our demo pilot flies this profile weekly to stay sharp! Thx for watching! Nappy!
Fantastic Video! I am an 23 year old airline pilot and also in the Air Guard, I would give everything to fly this bird!

Gotta love a flyer who only ever uses maximum aileron deflection - respect!

Thanks for your service! Bulldogs just got from a Deployment a bit back and are itching to get on the road again!

two of these flew overhead whilst i was out boating. Best 15 seconds of my life
We love hearing the stories of our brothers on the ground being saved by the all mighty Hawg! Thanks!
Gotta give MAD respect to Hog Drivers - Thank you gentlemen - please continue your fine work.

It looks so cool when he is looking out for his reference points
Great clip, best of its kind here on YT regarding Warthog in flight, good choice of music, but I'd love to see same thing with real in-cockpit sound too.
I'm glad you enjoyed the vid, congrats and good luck to you on your future career!
Sweet work, there! Almost reminds me of the old A-10 west website that included the scrapbook.
I miss that site...
@napEhair I think for some it goes to the feeling of really being in the cockpit. I like it both ways though...Thanks again for posting it..
So glad you enjoyed it!

P.S. My complements to the pilot and the crew, thanks for keeping them running and gunning with the rest of them. And nice truck at 14:41.
Simply the BEST! Thanks for sharing the experience.

Thanks for posting this and great job on the editing!
Very very awsome video. Best I've seen. Thanks so much for posting.
What a beautiful experience, had the chance to fly on an airline plane company (cockpit) and on a small biplane, would love to be able to fly on one of these ones :)
Nothing sounds more beautiful than the screams of an A-10 Warthog. My favorite plane of all time. What is it like to do High G turns in it?
a pilot in USAF AND a Breaking Benjamin fan?! You sir, are a boss.
Wow, incredible video. One of my favorite aircraft with awesome footage like this is pure win. Do want!
man...i bet watching the skys of whatever city this is in, is SOOOOOO cool when this show is in town. its my wet dream come true.
Spectacular video!!! Superb flying! BTW, I would like to know, why you shake your head just before and after a maneuver.
Now you've done it. I've cancelled dinner plans with my wife tonight. Going to go train in my DCS A-10 Warthog! Beautiful flying.
Cant wait going to pilot training when im older hopefully get to fly ones of these babies wanted to since i was a little kid
@napEhair that's just freakin' awsome!!!
A very crazy video and a crazy plane! Thx for posting!
Great video, amazing stuff. Some guys get all the fun.
love the smile on the pilots face when he lands
@superdupe8 : No, I'm the Narrator on the ground and in charge of maintenance, but we put vid camera's in the cockpit to get this footage.
You sir, are a BAMF! Thanks for the vid...
I have heard about it! I don't know much else though, the pilots have a very cool/advanced simulator that they utilize on base.
The warthog deserves its name. But, it's still a bird that is beautiful to watch just flying and a hell of a attack plane when it's business time.
@ELSWJS In the beginning they do, also they utilize a "G" suit combat edge system that inflates around their lower extremites to squeeze the blood back into their upper body.
Great Video! Anyone else noticed that the pilot was frequently shaking his head? Is it a movement to fight spatial disorientation?
So glad you liked it.
Best plane ever from USAF. Chapeau!
this guy is having a great Air Force day!
Excellent! But sadly this vid isnt available on the mobile RUclips.
Where can I purchace this video?! Finally a forward view in cockpit. I stink'n love it!
Thank You!
@napEhair i think you got good taste in music. anywho, is it true that this plane can get it's wings blown off and still fly?
@PchanStitch Thx! I'm glad you enjoyed it, there's always the HogPen website.
HOLY CRAP!!!! :) One of the best vids I have Ever seen with the A-10 or any other air craft on youtube. You guys ROCK!! Thank you! You made this former Marine very happy. Good luck. P.S. Where can I get one. He he he.
@napEhair sounds about right. you can see him practicing deep breathing to keep his oxygen up. pretty cool.
brilliant - my new favourite RUclips video
@andrademeza Gotcha! There are not any two seat A-10s in operation. In the early days Fairchild Republic made one operational two seater for adverse weather flying, but it was deemed not necessary, so no "wizzo" is required!
@aqualobster Pretty ominous and cool! Thanks!
Man i cant wait until i fly one of these one day!!!!!!
WONDERFUL VIDEO!!! BEAUTIFUL MUSIC !!!!BRILIANT PILOT!!! BIG BRAVO TOO HIM !!GREETINGS FROM ICARUS LAND !!
They actually are opposite. I've seen an A-10 in Korea take off, fly a mission, come back and the crew chief found an 8 foot length of mooring chain in the engine!! It flew an entire mission and didn't give any malfunction indications!
Sorry to hear about your loss.
@Kopihucky Yeah, I was apart of the Air Force Demo Team, that's how I was able to get such rare footage in HD.
This is a beautiful bird !!
Thank you for the constructive criticism. Your helpful and intelligently conveyed question will be taken into consideration for future video offerings.
All the best,
Nappy
@AVIACSA448
The name of the song is "Kings and Queens" from 30 seconds to Mars. Great song!!! Thx for the Question! Nappy!!
He's a really cool guy for sure!
@USMCAbramsOperator You are partially correct! The vid is a culmination of multiple sites tied into one awesome, edited demonstration. And DM is one of them, you can see the bone yard in one of the camera shots off the wing.
Sound muted: Check. Where might I find this with simply wind noise?...
@RICHinTHEditch69 Thx for the correction! I went off the old playlist, I have the bands right there on the opening scene, good catch!
Thanks Damn it. We have your back in the Artilllery. Keep in mind. Artillery brings dignity to what would other wise a nasty brawl.
During the summer I used to see these flying around all the time.
It was cool but damn they are loud when they fly by lol
Awesome, Thanks for posting!
There is a volume button located on your computer I hope.
@napEhair thats nice, i would like to see no music version too, so thank you in advance! .. and may i ask, does this show version of A-10 got real cannon ? (i mean for right distribution of weight .. )
@CrazedMachine I'm so glad you liked it!
I'm amazed you're allowed to do such low flying over, what looks like, a built up area :P Sweet vid though, nice flying :)
Awesome video!!!!
Really great video, i love it!
@napEhair now were you part of the ground crew that put this together or like the cameras or were you actually the pilot
GNAAAARLY, i want to joint the air force just to fly one of these

Great video.
when he does the barrel roll or death roll he looks around to make sure no other planes are near him
@LucidDream101 It can lose 1 3rd of the surface area and still fly. and yes, an A-10 successfully lost its wing up to the slat and still was able to make it back to base.
Why are those supports there though? Is the front canopy made of thicker glass for extra protection perhaps?
this pilot is such a badass..
@Pauliebuck :I'm glad you enjoyed both!
A10's are stationed in my home town Battlecreek Mi ANG wing Cereal Killers
Amazing video!!!
Holy cow look at all those planes! Where is this footage from?
@riveraluciano Thanks for the kind words!
That's a complicated question, my pilot has been flying since he could climb in an airplane and with college and AF pilot selection and training, you could be looking at least a few years.
Great plane, great pilot and video!
greetz from Russia!
@636Castle , You're right, we have a safety officer on the ground watching and calling the stop for the vertical roll, plus our demo pilot flies this profile weekly to stay sharp! Thx for watching! Nappy!
@acroflights Good Eye! Yes these were all shot in HD using those types of cameras.
what are the little contrails on the wing tips? I mean how are they formed?
