At the end when Alastor says "I bid you Adieu" is actually pretty clever because in life he lived in Louisiana, a state with a French speaking population. In French most people don't say "Adieu" the connotations of using this word suggests you'll never see the person again as if they're going to die. A pretty dark choice of word and it fits him so very well
Adieu can just be used in English sometimes just to say bye casual as well. It is in fact a French word though
Learned something new today then. I didn't know "adieu" was a final goodbye in French. That's like with Japanese(my ethnicity) "sayonara" is also a final goodbye, but most English speakers misuse it too.

There wont be any this is a nathan sharp original so it wont be covered. Addict was different that was cola with the Hazbin creators and after they released there music video they allowed people to cover. Notice how the song was out for months and nothing then after the music video came out suddenly a tsunami of covers (none as good as the og imo but still)

@@shadowsa2b maybe it's like "flirting with danger" so you're trying to get what you want but it's also attracting the negatives that come with it. (So like if you're flirting with someone you find cute or sweet, but the closer you get the more you notice their red flags.)

This song, unlike the original, gives a very energetic vibe. It really gives off Alastor's assertive intruding nature. You did a great job on the cover.

One- it has fast good lyrics
Two- the beats are well done
Three- because in the original it wasn't so energetic and this one has done a better job a little at showing how hard worked they show

yeah, imo I wasn't a huge fan of the original lol. The transition between the rock bits and the rest of the song felt too jarring for my tastes, personally- so ironically enough, adding m o r e r oc k feels like it ties the song together more. I definitely prefer this version. Totally valid if people prefer the original though.

I was suprised because the original chorus is already pretty loud and extravagant so I thought Nate would make the chorus even more loud and extravagant but to me it feels like he made it a little less exaggerated than the original. I definitely know that Alastor ain't chill at all lol

while i love the original, the rock version just kinda fits a lot better for the flow of the melody and lyrics and vocal styles.

The cover, in principle, is not bad, but it grabs the drive in the demonic passage, it really is not enough, and the head in demonic form could also be made in more detail. And so great 👍

The original felt a bit...lacking. It needed more energy, and to dedicate better to one of the genres it was trying to touch on. The chorus and the melody just clashed a lot, which sucked because I could tell there was already all this potential to it in the lyrics and tune.
And then you just come along and fix every problem I had with the original and put it out there for free? HELL YES
