I love Phantom. Had it on repeat since it was released, but my RUclips feed didn’t show me this, so I didn’t see it when he altered it for Hazbin. Three years later, I find it but as “Alastor’s Song” and for a split second I thought Phantom was actually a fan song. It fits all too well.

I'll admit, while I love this song, and it definitely fits Alastor, I'm a bit disappointed to learn from comments that this isn't an original song for Hazbin Hotel. I hope Nate, if you do write an original song for Alastor, you could make it have a swing feel and the 1920s announcer voice, like you did for your BATIM song Blood and Ink.

Well, this is a good song which has been edited slightly with some alastor lines because the creator thought but fit with alastor, whereas alastors game was made with the intention of fitting alastor, not necessarily being a particularly amazing song.

I've listened to this version so many times that now my brain automatically fills the silence with Alastor's quotes when I listen to the original
I'll admit, while I love this song, and it definitely fits Alastor, I'm a bit disappointed to learn from comments that this isn't an original song for Hazbin Hotel. I hope Nate, if you do write an original song for Alastor, you could make it have a swing feel and the 1920s announcer voice, like you did for your BATIM song Blood and Ink.

It's a great song, the og version without the Hazbin edits is awesome as well, but it has deep rooted sexual and flirty wording, well more just suggestive than anything straight up, but still. Well, this is a good song which has been edited slightly with some alastor lines because the creator thought but fit with alastor, whereas alastors game was made with the intention of fitting alastor, not necessarily being a particularly amazing song.

You never fail to impress, from the music and vocals to the video itself! I do think it's rather interesting the one line "But we're all bound to end up back to where we started" sorta mirrors what Alastor says in the Pilot (and later in this song) that he wants to "watch the scum of the world struggle to climb up the hill of betterment, only to repeatedly trip and fall back down into the fiery pits of failure." I dunno if that was on purpose or not but if so that's really clever! I think Alastor still doesn't expect the hotel to succeed. I can't wait until he hears about Sir Pentious, he's gonna eat his words (I say this with only affection, as an Alastor fan lol).
It is rather interesting too how he says "such loathesome sinners" and "scum of the world". He doesn't explicitly state it, but neither does he exclude himself from these categories. It implies on some level he knows what he's done and is still doing is morally wrong. Which, okay, might sound rather obvious given Alastor never even tries to hide really how evil he is, except for when he's trying to make a deal. But idk, the fact that he calls them "loathesome" and "scum" which are both rather judgmental words, it kind of sounds like Alastor looks down on them and thinks everybody in Hell is an asshole, which, isn't entirely wrong... 😅But if that includes him, then does that mean he feels some level of regret or guilt? Maybe he doesn't view himself as redeemable or deserving of redemption, in addition to the general belief that no one will be able to redeem themselves at the hotel? Idk now I'm just speculation and have gone way off-topic lol, sorry.

On one hand, it could be the Wendigo (term I use for convenience) twisting the mortal who will become the Radio Demon. The lyrics fit.
On the other, *it perfectly fits* the fully realised dealmaker *Radio Demon pushing Charlie towards his side* .
