Even postage cost to UK is pretty decent. Some UK companies charge $20 to send from UK to further parts of UK, so $35 dollars from USA is decent.

Pieced together an IFAK about 2 weeks ago this is is essentially the exact same thing I put into mine. Only difference is I added a couple more things for burns, and larger quantities of medications including benedryl as well as midol for the lady.

With a basic set of skills you can maintain your cheap trauma shears. Sharpening the main blade as well as peening the rivet to keep the tolerances tight.

I bought their EDC Pocket and their Responder IFAK more than a year ago now, so I probably won't buy this Get Home Alive Kit. But from the 2 that I have, I recommend their products. Specially if you don't know much about what to buy separately for self made trauma kits and or first aid kits. Their kits are very easy to go and straight forward.

The kit is great and im sure LTC is a great compny run by dedicated people but one can build this for 1/3rd or 1/4th of the price. I personally did it recently, it requires some digging but all that matters is to have the needed tools to save a life. Peace!

What are your thoughts on alergy medication, is it life saving sometimes? I know people who carry EpiPens (and know how to use them) and i at least bring some antihistamine pills.
And great video! Your content helped me upgrade my "Booboo Kit" to something i feel confident with for hiking in the Alps where sports accidents are common, paramedics are also common luckily so they can use my kit better than me :).

It's a good type of M-FAK and a excellent idea for a make your own hand made first aid bag only you need a free day and the material and you are ready to go... PD: I think to make my own bags because in my country it's dificult to buy these products and other reason here I can find a loot of materials or some people can fabricate these by pre-order and it's a little more cheaper.
Would anyone include Q-tips in their kit?
When did Celox type hemostatic dressings become the "gold standard"? I thought they were last ditch effort contingencies, due to the complications of tissue damage. Also thought aquasil ag was the gold standard for wound dressing...is this no longer the type of dressing you would recieve at the hospital?
Both of those changed about 15 years ago. There is no tissue damage associated with generation 3 hemostatic gauze. As for dressings you would get a dry sterile dressing in the hospital for almost anything.

the tampon thing is so real. my friend said when they got hit in iraq they would jam tampons in there because the 7.62 or whatever they got smacked with was about that size. from then on, i decided to carry quarters on me be it for a bloody vag or gun shot to pack lol.
anyways i carry a quick clot sport kit, some extra bandaids, and a RATS tourniquet. shit, if i need more than that why didnt nobody tell me?!?!?

It just misses a burndressing
For minor (like one finger) burns it has burnjel in it.
For major or larger burns, current recommendation is a dry, sterile, bulky dressing, which you can easily make out of the compressed gauze which comes with the kit. 👍🏼

SOLAR POWER SYSTEM: solar panels, battery bank, inverter

HANDCRANK GENERATOR: gear ratio allows just one person to turn a handle & generate power.

5TH: Bug-Out-Bag Myth, that bugging out is your first option? NO! But despite the fact that sheltering-in-place is optimum, we never know when we may be forced to bug-out, so it's "Better To Have It & Not Need It, Than Need It & Not Have It" so after your bag is complete, double up on equipment because, "Two is One & One is None".
6TH: 6 months mixed more water, food, etc
7TH: Self-Sustainable Sustenance, food production (study & practice gardening/small animal farming [chickens, meat rabbits, etc])
8TH: Priority Faith to pray for wisdom & humility to answer "If I only had enough time/money to acquire just one more thing/skill before a collapse what would it be?" Remember, "prepping" (being prepared) is not an event, it's a lifestyle.

Without compromising quality, get the lightest weight versions of the following items & choose multifunction tools to keep total pack weight to less than 20% of a healthy person's body weight. Bare minimum examples are included below but there are always better quality items so do your own research. Remember, the best survival items are the ones you already have on you & know how to use well, & the more you know the lighter your load, so consider ways to improvise equipment/tools in the field. Hanging on the outside of the B.O.B. have a small bag of "survival pocket litter" that you will empty into your pants/jacket pockets & onto your belt & should include at least one item from each of the following catagories, just in case you get separated from your B.O.B.
CONTAINER: Water & Filter (collapsible 1liter plastic water bottle or metal capped canister; water is 8lbs per gallon, so in addition to having some water on you, the ability to filter discovered water while on the move will be vital to keeping you hydrated & your load light; consider a mini-Sawyer water filter).
CUTTING: Knife (3/16" thick, full tang), Multi-tool with folding knife, saw, screwdriver set, scissors, awl, can & bottle opener, & pliers.
COMBUSTION: lighters, ferro rods, fresnel lens (magnifying glass), tinder, candle, flashlight, headlamp, etc.
CORDAGE: rope/duct tape/paracord.
COVERING: (something to sleep under, to sleep on, & to sleep in) Heavy duty plastic tarp 6x8, three 55gal plastic drum liners or sleeping bag, hammock tent, 2 pair socks, 2 underwears & 2 undershirts (avoid cotton, cotton kills), long-sleeved shirt/pull over hoodie, pants (not shorts), gloves, face mask, bandana/shemagh, mosquito netting, hat, boots, light rain jacket w/hood (unless you live in a region that is cold more than ⅓ of the year do not pack a heavy winter coat, but just layer up all clothing when cold & insulate with plastic/rain poncho), avoid camouflage because it's not "Grayman".
CARE: First-Aid/Trauma kit (tourniquet, compression bandages, assortment of guaze, medications, etc); Hygiene (comb, 3 hand towel/rags, toothbrush, sewing needles & upholstery thread, etc)
CONSUMPTION: Food (pre-cooked non-perishable -MREs/jerky) & Fishing/Hunting tools (hooks, string, weights, snare wire, slingshot, crossbow, fish/gill net, etc)
COMMUNICATIONS: Radios (handcrank AM/FM radio w/emergency & weather stations; walkie talkie, CB or ham radio); Maps (local, state, country) & Compass; Energy (batteries, charger cords, handcrank/solar charger)
CREDENTIALS: (pin note on B.O.B. reminding you to get these before leaving) documents & extra keys (birth certificate, passport, marriage license, drivers license, house & car keys, etc)
CASH: Initially cash money will still be King; pocket sized barter items (small packets of non-perishable food, instant coffee packets, sample bottles of liquor, gold/silver linkchain, candy/gum, etc)
CRAFTING: Axe/Machete, Folding/bow/wire saws, Clawbar 10" (doubles as hammer & key to the city), Self-adjusting wrench, Locking pliers, Multi Bit Screwdriver & Nut Driver, Electrical wire stripper/crimper.
CREATIVE: playing cards, harmonica, literature (pocket bible, pocket SAS Survival Guide, etc)
