It was a very nice Ramada Inn constructed during 1972, a few years after six flags opened. The bar you found was one of the places we went to dance and hear live bands back in the late 70s. It was relatively safe then but went down hill fast by the mid 80s. Once Ramada sold it, a succession of owners operated it in a continually declining conditions until not even the dealers gangs and whores would stay there. Fulton Industrial Blvd is super sketchy and dangerous. The Holiday Inn was across the interstate and the place to go in the early 70s. Great bar and bands. Howard Johnsons was across FIB and Redfield was the band to see. At one time that intersection was a happening place. A mix of rednecks and white collar office workers on their way home from work in ATL. There is nothing in that place worth going back to see. The risk isn't worth the reward. Doc
Was a Ramada Inn late 70s/early 80s and a nice one at that. Stayed here when going to Six Flags for the first time; same year the Mindbender opened. I remember staring at the park at night from the window at the end of the hallway on one of the upper floors watching the Great Gasp which rose up from the middle of the park. Shocked to see the hotel's condition now.
I've stayed here when it was The Executive Inn, late 90s or early 2000s. It was very sketchy. The elevator had an elevator operator wearing a wife beater and full of tattoos, and had a 2×4 propped behind him. The entire control panel was hanging by some wires and some wires were just hanging out. He literally had to touch different wires together to operate it. The elevator was out of service between the hours of 10pm and 6am. Hookers, dealers, and addicts were plentiful. A friend had gone online, like AOL primitive, and booked this room based on the name and cheap rates. Online photos and reviews didn't exist back then. It reminded me of a repurposed hospital. 😂
Crazy when I tried to look up the inn on Google, I came across a channel 2 action news clip from the red roof owner trying to get it open but the govt not giving her the permit and her suing the govt,,, crazy to watch that and see the aftermath now
Had to Subscribe esp when you said about coming back. Hotel is so massive, yes, yes, return with someone.. Not sure if just me, but what you got, hotel was spooky, creepy.
Hi Jarrett. I’m a fairly new subscriber, I subbed about a month ago. I’ve been watching your archived videos and I’m really enjoying your channel. I look forward to the follow up video for this abandoned hotel. Bring a buddy or two and be safe. Take care
One of my clients is right next to this place. The strange thing is that this place, the Red Roof Inn up the street, and the Super Inn next door are all closed now. I wonder why.
I was working on a property in ATL that I intend to rent out. At least 1 time a week I would walk in the house and there would be squatters VERY Scary! Already high didn’t know what they would do
The Old Travel Inn on Shirley Drive back in the early 2000’s was like a third world country almost.I couldn’t believe the amount of hookers,Dope boys,Pimps and thugs that stayed at that hotel. Unreal.A lot of people was getting shot at those hotels back then. Crazy Times
Yeah I grew up near there and the hootch. Prostitute's and drugs are ramped through there especially at night any time really nothing good ever came from there.
You were making me nervous just watching! Honestly, not a good idea to go pretty much anywhere in Atlanta by yourself. Especially areas like that! Videos aren't worth it!
@@Jarrett_derryberry It was ok. We had a busy lounge. We used to get a lot of the dancers from Fannies club across the street after they got off work. I broke up a lot of fights. The lounge at motel was called T Birds.
This place used to be messed up when it was open. I used to have a friend that stayed here, sold hella dope in there. He had like 4 or 5 rooms. Police shot him 8 times in this very hotel. Unarmed. Bad thing was, the police was in there on a call, but they had the wrong room. Real dope hole
I was there in the early 2000's and it was taken over by Gangs, Hookers, and Drug Dealers. I stayed at what was then the Super 8 Now "The Super" but it was a wild couple of nights there were armed Gang members standing guard outside of the Executive Inn definitely felt like something out of a movie. I was just passing through working for a moving company and we picked the wrong place to stay unfamiliar with the area. But it was memorable wandering around that place at night there are a few strip clubs that get pretty wild right across the street from the Super there as well.
Yup I was there in the early 2000’s I had so much fun picking up hookers but I never went into the Super 8 back then just too risky so I did the deed in my car.Crazy and dangerous but fun area back then.
They pretty much got rid of prostitution by closing down all of the motels in that area, making it a shelter would just bring that business back to the area
I enjoyed your enjoyed the footage in your video! I don't blame you for not going in by yourself, but if you knew in advance that that'd be a deal breaker then why not have someone accompany you to begin with? I don't mean that disrespectfully by the way.
Brooo why you acting so scary. .. 😂 never say hello in an abandoned buyjus make a lot of noise to scare someone off if their in there. This is funny how timid and scared you act, lol

Human trafficking demonic hell hole. Worked as a firefighter in this area 15 years ago. One of the worst places in Atlanta.

Yeah, I am afraid to go in. I'm not afraid of the conditions as much as I am being confronted with the types of squatters I might come across.
I don't blame you. No telling what's in there. Thank you for the video!
Thanks for this video. Great to see such beauty in the midst of ruin.

Interesting find. I don't blame you for not exploring the inside alone. Thanks for the look around.
This is still up and there's another abandoned hotel very close on the same back street, I pass by it often on the commute.
Yea you talking about the Red Roof Inn they closed that about 3 years ago
@@VATOOUT Do you mean the Super Inn?

I just explored this place, hella fun
One of my clients is right next to this place. The strange thing is that this place, the Red Roof Inn up the street, and the Super Inn next door are all closed now. I wonder why.
Because they were all occupied by crack heads, drug dealers and prostates
I know they raided the Red Roof Inn years ago and shit it down but the Fulton Inn and The Old Travel Inn still open. They Closed the Knights Inn also.
Dude this is absolutely Hilarious 😂😂😂😂 how are you doing abandoned content but scared as hell 😂😂😂😂😂 Were you whispering?? Omg you made my day 😂😂😂😂
On fulton industrial. Right off the i20 exit.
Do you know if it will be demolished?
There were not any signs posted and it is in an area that the county essentially ignores so I don't believe a demolition will happen anytime soon.
It's up I was driving by it two months ago
I had no idea this was in Atlanta!
I was working on a property in ATL that I intend to rent out. At least 1 time a week I would walk in the house and there would be squatters VERY Scary! Already high didn’t know what they would do
What happen to this big hotel ?
I lived there back in the late 90's. It was like living in the projects.
Looking like a scene straight out of the last of us lol
The inn you parked at is closed down also
Still standing as of February of 2023, by google maps.
Where?
do you have the address to this place?
I do. Hang tight.
It's in the description
Oh wow what a awesome find 😄
Wow I used to stay at the super inn too. It was called super 8 back then though.

They should turn it into a haunted house! 🏚️
You are lucky to be by yourself and not run into stuff you don't want to run into. Fulton Industrial is crazy and you are lucky you weren't robbed.
Probably find some missing people

I worked Security and lived on the property back in the late ‘80’s.
I'm sure it's weird to see it now. I bet it was nice in its prime!

Georgia has strict laws for going into abandoned places. I've lived in Georgia all my life. Hate it for you if you get caught
