I just recently discovered this Etude, so I've been watching various performances along with the score. For some reason this brought me to tears. I can't explain it, the passion of the performance and composition just over took me. Bravo, Trifonov.
The crash/memory glitch on 3:20 was quite shameful, but he managed to calm down and adapt accordingly in a short time. If it were me I'd freak out for sure.
I'm not a fan of Trifonov but to be honest, Alongside Cziffra's interpretation, this is one of the most expressive and emotionally impressive interpretations I've ever heard
There are rubatos in this study othewise there is no lyricisme , Liszt is no only transcendantal but also a Romantic with a melody underlying here ; great pianist of course but . ..

? 😂
I agree incredible passion😊
One of the few who doesnt hammer out the soft notes at the beginning
So true!
that's what it sounds like, but recording quality and room acoustics have ALOT to do with how a video/sound is perceived to watchers like you and me.
This guy is one of the many inspiration for me
This piece by Liszt is a good combination of virtuosity and coherent, easy to understand melody.
This is incredible. One of the best versions of No.10
This is from far the best interpretation of Lizt Etude 10 I have EVER heard. It made me cry and that's not the first time I hear it but omg woaw.
Seong Jin Cho, ovchinnikov, Ashkenazy, and kissin?
@@lczq6737 Far better than those x)
Listen to pogorelich he plays fast after the climax but other than that it sounds good
I quite like Tiffany poons playing of it
me too 🤯
Phenomenal performance ! Recorded live , Lyon , November 2014
Question: How do you define passion?
Answer: Daniil Trifonov
no , there is no lyricisme here j don't agree j prefer Daniil Kharinotov a lyrical pianist
Je rêve de Daniil Trifonov. Il est le Dieu des pianistes.
The crash/memory glitch on 3:20 was quite shameful, but he managed to calm down and adapt accordingly in a short time. If it were me I'd freak out for sure.
He was playing the all liszt etudes there so this isn't shameful but yeah he managed to get out of that moment pretty fast
I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out.
Shameful? Come on now lol
@@fernandozamora6127 think he just meant shameful as in this is a piece of art and it’s a shame he made an error
@@yorkzie7593so what if he made an error? He is a human being, and that is exactly what can happen.
I think that guy really digs that tune. He type of feels it.

Bravo!
Omg nice
I like this performance. My favorite version is André Watts', but this one has a much cleaner sound quality.
The Wizard
Sorry but this is better than yunchan lim's version at least for me.
France Clidat for you ? She was first Price Society Lizst Budapest
Right
@@user-jt4gu9dn6w Not while Pogorelich's interpretation is out there. Stretta part is just amazing.
@@japonoyunyapmcskojima8290 Could not agree more... Stretta part in Pogorelich is... unreal.. Phenomenal...
@@bpat74 Indeed maestro Pogorelich never disappoints.
Tiffany Poon is more naturel with rubatos for the melody , there is a melody with number 10 no with Trifonov technic znd only technic
I think that if Liszt himself played this piece, it would sound pretty much like this
Perfect.....
Daniil Trifonov
Better than berezovsky
Very near
Not even 10 per cent as good as Berezovsky. No passion here and no technique
There are rubatos in this study othewise there is no lyricisme , Liszt is no only transcendantal but also a Romantic with a melody underlying here ; great pianist of course but . ..
J don't undersrand 431 K Likes , only 2 Like for France Clidat : if someone explain to me , thank' s very wemll
