From looking at the serial number it’s a 2003 from September so this bass would be a feeling this area bass which isn’t bad at all congrats on getting that once in a lifetime opportunity
Nice bass...The Mark Hoppus Signature did have an ordinary P pickup but Fender brought out a reverse P pickup (Seymour Duncan QP) version in the '90's, Jazz body ,Precision neck,came only in Surf Green & White for £600...you can still buy them second hand or i had the P pickup routed to be mounted in reverse on my Fender Jaguar PJ bass...better balanced tone across the strings,Mark uses a hand painted Jaguar now with reversed Seymour Duncan QP Precision pickup...for that kind of money i hope it was one of his...he's selling some bass's & gear now....
@@shanecuthbertofficial ...he did bud...on tour Mark gave away a few Fender Mark Hoppus models to fans...i think i've seen your bass in a picture some time (years) ago with Mark...same colour,pickguard & fretboard....he defo did have one that looks like yours bud...it's a kool bass...

yeah he is, I definitely know it was stage and tour used but I dont know for how long, ive heard he has given a few away over the years
