Question for you - I just read a review from digitalnoise that the display "gives off a noise that sounds a lot like coil whine. It gets louder as the display’s brightness increases." The second machine that MSI sent them also had the same whine, and MSI confirmed that this is common to the machine. Did you notice this noise too?
This kind of not so high power premium laptop should start using USB-PD EPR as their primary and only mean of charging. It's well under the 240 W limit of EPR.

Gorgeous laptop with a gorgeous, gorgeous bright screen the way I like them Andrew! At $2100 with everything you get from a clear 1080p webcam to clear internal mics and decent port selection, it is simply a no brainer!! I also like the fact that it is somewhat upgradable and that it comes with a 2TB SSD right from the get go. I simply cannot wait until you showcase this laptop on your next livestream Andrew!! I very much love what MSI is bringing to the table with their newest offerings. Excellent job Andrew! 👍😁

Hi Adrew! great review as always. I got Omen 16 and i was disappoint it with the audio quality ( poor bass likes this MSI). I really like this MSI but seems that the audio is the same, or do you think is worst that Omen 16? ( which you reviewed). I want to change it but i dont know if there is any laptop like this one with good sound quality like mac or similar? Thanks!
I am a MSI prestige 16 owner, the laptop gets really hot even when not running much. The top part above the keyboard sometimes gets way too hot to touch, I don't know if it's a design flaw or just how it is meant to be. Hot air from the cooling system directly blows on the screen, which can get hot too sometimes. Does that happen on yours?
Because of the audio i decided to go to the HP envy 16 which is great but also got hot sometimes no everywhere, just some keys within the keyboard

What hinge issues?
The fan noise is so loud because it is directed towards the user, that is a bad design, I hope the next one will exhaust through the back or to the sides, as for the missing thunderbolt/usb4 that is a big deal breaker.
RAM without an upgrade is not worth buying or buy only with max Ram 32 or 64 Gb immediately overpaying
Just got it, it's horrible. The case has 65-70°C between the keyboard and screen almost all the time without full CPU load and the fans a spinning high and loud. The really bad thing is that the SSD has no thermal pad on the top side which will cause 60+°C after a few seconds and the bottom of the case is made of plastic. However I was able to put thermal pads between the top side of the SSD and the bottom of the case which has lowered the temperatures to 50°C max. as I was afraid to loosing my data after short time of usage. The display has a shadow on all sides which is also really disappointing due to the very high price. If you press the touch pad on the lower end you can see inside the laptop as it is very very soft. Overall the performance is below a Lenovo ThinkPad Extreme X1 Gen 5 which will cost the same, has more ports and both USB-C have DisplayPort support. Will have to use it now as I got it from my Company but will be happy the day it will be replaced.

webcam Video quality is above average but Mic sound quality is excellent, speakers are not up to par for the price a bit disappointing !
Nice PC. Camera was good and mics were fair to good. Agree that speakers were not that good. Probably that is why mics were fair to good only. Display is excellent especially with choice to use high refresh rate. Numpad poorly designed. Keys are much smaller and the "Enter" key is not located to the right of the keyboard like a typical calculator. These manufacturers should either put on a correctly dssigned numpad or not put one on at all. This numpad as designed is functionally useless. Port selection is very good. Like that they use dark keys on a light colored unit. They can be seen much better in more lighting conditions. Excellent review.

lol, Apple has a laughably huge lead in laptop speaker sound quality.
with intel - not interested. just put 4050 and ryzen U series or with integrated rdna AND NORMAL COOLING SYSTEM. more then 40db of fan noise - its trash
what would you recommend?
I just returned this laptop because it has very bad blooming issues. This Mini LED panel is too bad for viewing content.
