Hi Veronica 😊 👋 I fell down the Kerosene rabbit hole about a year ago. I have Unknown Pleasures, Followed, and Sweetly Known. Funny story... I had one spray of Followed on one wrist and one spray of Sweetly Known on the other wrist. I made a quick trip to the grocery store, was at the checkout, and the manager was calling the bakery to ask if they were making waffles with maple syrup!! Lol, it was me! Employees could smell me all through the store... it was a little embarrassing 😳
That's so funny. So we now know even more that they are very potent and strong... The video definitely made me want to check them out and order samples at least. I'll have to add that to my list... (wait for Fall or Winter though).
I am such a fan of this house/perfumer/owner. Such interesting and unique fragrances that are potent but so well-priced. Like you, they’re not all for me, but I can also appreciate what each fragrance is. Great review and descriptions, especially your use of mood to describe each one. My favorites from the house are Pretty Machine, Summer of ‘84, Unknown Pleasures, and Followed. This was the best discovery set I’ve ever purchased from a house as well.

Great house overview! Have got to sample some of the older releases from this house. I read that John Pegg was a RUclips reviewer before he became a perfumer. For a house named Kerosene, I never imagined they would produce really good gourmands. And, I don’t even like gourmands. Fields of Rubus smells like a delicious raspberry dark chocolate cake. John said it’s based off of his wife’s favorite notes.

I love Followed and it lasts for days. Best coffee fragrance in my opinion. Black Vines is my favorite Kerosene fragrance. It’s a pure licorice scent and I have nothing else like it in my collection. 💚

I bought Kokain by Rammstein in search of the gasoline accord but it was more like Snow White in her iris garden having sniffed a couple of pinches of cocaine😄 What really gave me chills and a gasoline accord was T-Rex by Zoologist. I immediately fell in love with the scent when I tested it. But it definitely should not be a blind buy
Then you have some very bold tastes! Have you tried Tubereuse Nue from Tom Ford? I get a strong gas-like note from that one. Or maybe it's just chemical - not sure.

I want to try Winter of 99, if any. However, I have hesitated to try Unknown Pleasures and anything else from this house because I smelled a Dapper dupe of Unknown Pleasures and hated it, and unlike you, I couldn't stand the waffle cone note. I won't write it off completely because I didn't smell the OG. In general, though, I like gourmand notes but not overwhelming gourmands. I like hearing the story of how the creator got into creating his scents.

I have unknown pleasures and I absolutely love it! The samples I got when I bought mine a year or so ago I have to try them again and I don’t remember what they are!
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! The discovery set overwhelmed me with the amount of samples there were but at the same time excited me cause there’s so many to play with. Have you seen what the older bottles used to look like? That’s what actually got me interested in the brand. Wish those designs came back but yeah cool house with different unique fragrances and very good price.

I like the portrait mode. You seem like you are right in front of me having a chat. I don’t know any of these fragrances and I am intrigued but I definitely need to sample first. I’m not into blasting fragrances and I am not sure I could handle this house.
Omg I have NO idea how this is considered gourmand or lovable. I was one and DONE with Kerosene after Sweetly Known. Sadly it smelled like a lit match to me. I was repulsed. I’m interested in Unknown Pleasures but that’s the only one I’m daring enough to try after that experience. Pray for my nose😕

I blind bought Dirty Flower Factory, and while I enjoy it in certain situations, it’s not a love. Still, I quite like the “dirty” aspect - like a factory that makes metal flowers, or a dingy room filled with flowers. When I feel bold, I like this fragrance.

It's an interesting house but for me, out of the ones I've tried, the clear winner was Unknown Pleasures. Like you, I found some of the others leaning too masculine.
I liked Walk the Sea, in my notes I wrote white floral, kind of soapy and salty ocean vibes. But I was influenced against it when my son asked me if I had B.O. or bad breath 😅😂😂
Ive purchased a couple of these since watching the video and its so interesting to come back and watch the video again. Followed is a definite beast and I love the smokiness of Blackmail. Sweetly Known is incredible and as a guy I wear and enjoy Unknown Pleasures. Truly great video. Hope more people discover this house because of it

BEEN WAITING FOR THIS! The discovery set overwhelmed me with the amount of samples there were but at the same time excited me cause there’s so many to play with. Have you seen what the older bottles used to look like? That’s what actually got me interested in the brand. Omg I have NO idea how this is considered gourmand or lovable. I was one and DONE with Kerosene after Sweetly Known. Sadly it smelled like a lit match to me. I was repulsed. I’m interested in Unknown Pleasures but that’s the only one I’m daring enough to try after that experience. Pray for my nose😕

I blind bought Dirty Flower Factory, and while I enjoy it in certain situations, it’s not a love. Still, I quite like the “dirty” aspect - like a factory that makes metal flowers, or a dingy room filled with flowers. When I feel bold, I like this fragrance.

Ive purchased a couple of these since watching the video and its so interesting to come back and watch the video again. Followed is a definite beast and I love the smokiness of Blackmail.
