- Adapted from a British recipe from the Second World War, these tasty sandwiches combine carrots with other simple ingredients to create a simple lunch that is truly memorable for all the right reasons. Cheap, nutritious and delicious!

Many thanks. They really are so delicious and cost only pennies to make. It is important to use the best bread you can afford or use any homemade. The carrot fillings would also complement wraps and Indian breads by adding a little spicing or other flavours to the filling, perfect for when you're on the go!

Hello GrandmaSandy, I hope you and Debbie and the family are all keeping well. Carrots are fabulous, easy to grow (especially with a companion such as marigolds to keep the pests away) and so versatile. We will be sowing our carrot seeds soon. Last year we did some little round gourmet ones which were very successful but we're trying a more traditional variety this time. Am loving your videos, though am a bit behind and need to catch up with them all. I had a week out staying with my mum-in-law in London and also had time out from internet stuff. We've had all sorts going on in the family including a few pieces of bad news and I needed time out for self-care. Big love from Dan and I xxx
