Take me back to these days, going to blockbuster and renting games. My brothers friends would come over and we'd play Batman or the double dragon games for hours and hours. Great memories.
14:17 is not unknown actually, it is the theme for the Bad Ending (when you die more than 15 times during the gameplay, but still manage to beat the Penguin)
Ironically the last comment I left on this video was 7 years ago I can't stay away from this soundtrack, even though everyone else forgot about it I can never forget about this masterpiece. Having a Famicom/NES was a childhood blessing. Scientifically speaking, what you listen to when you're a kid is what shapes your taste in music for the rest of your life. If i get dementia in 60 years, you only have to play this soundtrack to get me to remember everything. It's ironic how we used to laugh at our grandparents listening to classical music, but when we get as old as them our grand kids will laugh at us for listening to 8-bit songs all day.
I'll be damned you did! Well hope you can enjoy it again sometime soon when this OST gets the 8BS Revamp I've been doing lately! I also don't really respond to comments on these old versions anymore unless there is some important clear up information I must address, but its amazing to still see people who have been around since then. Glad you enjoy this OST so much and that it means a lot to ya, hope you will enjoy the revamp version when it comes out! ;)
This game was so hard.. I couldn't defeat Catwoman intially. But somehow managed to finish the game. I loved the car chase sequence. I did use the passwords though. Damn Japanese music composers are awesome.
Amazing soundtrack, but a really hell of difficult game to beat. Never could complete it back then, just recently I could beat all the whole game. And it took me like 15 years, love those mixes. Big thank you for your work
Very atmospheric game with a nice soundtrack to boot. Personally I love this one more, than original Batman from Sunsoft. ROTJ is in category of its own. While sound engine is the same as in all late Konami NES titles they managed to make music very distinct from the likes of Bucky O'Hare, Zen or Crisis Force. Difficulty in this game is quite high, but still its not as difficult as Batman Returns on SNES (also from Konami). NES version has an almighty slide move, that can make quick work out of any opponent.
Not sure what are you talking about. This is the best Batman game on NES and music in this game is top notch. Konami was like a god in the industry back in the days.
Next to Konami, Sunsoft had a really good sound team. Fact is, a lot of the big-league players should've made some degree of effort to retain the original members of their sound teams - even Namco and Square have seen better days. I'd like to think that Yasuhisa Watanabe, Ayako Saso, and a number of other prominent musicians would've loved to please us fans one more time.

4:09 Stage 1 - Gotham Plaza
SO GOOD
4:09 Stage 1 - Gotham Plaza BEST
14:17 is not unknown actually, it is the theme for the Bad Ending (when you die more than 15 times during the gameplay, but still manage to beat the Penguin)
One of the best OST's on the system.
0:11, 2:34 and 2:57 are my personal favorites.
Underrated ass soundtrack
Why does this only have a few views?
Most likely overlooked by the other 2 Sunsoft Batman games.
Ironically the last comment I left on this video was 7 years ago

Thank you a lot for including the link in the description too, pretty gnarly of you good sir
The Stage 1 theme, I believe, was played in AVGN's Pong Consoles episode.
That's right!
I think you’re right
awesome
Magnavox Odyssey
This game was so hard.. I couldn't defeat Catwoman intially. But somehow managed to finish the game. I loved the car chase sequence. I did use the passwords though. Damn Japanese music composers are awesome.
Dendy Junior
Prologue - Part 1 has been stuck in my head for years, such killer track.

This should be talked about more as one of the best NES soundtracks there is.

Also, it's funny to see how they were still releasing games even in 1993 for the NES, noting that 3 years later there would be the launch of the N64.
3 years doesn't matter to a kid or teenager, but an adult would say it's more like 3 weeks than 3 years.
The last NES game was released in 1994. It was Wario's Woods.
I have been humming the Gotham City theme for about 25 years straight now. Insanely catchy.
Underrated game and soundtrack...but sonuvabiscuit this game was hard!
This game looks like TMNT3 dressed as Batman xD
No Way, u are under LSD
Intro - Part 2 is awesome!
Best batman sountrack ever this and the return of the joker too
pure nostalgia with this music
4:09
Stage five and stage six are so awesome! They have a way of getting stuck in my head and then I just want to go hook my fossil up.
When i was little the only thing i heard on stage 4b was * thuutss * thuutss * thuutss * thuutss (jumping sounds)...thanks for the music
Not sure what are you talking about. This is the best Batman game on NES and music in this game is top notch. Konami was like a god in the industry back in the days.
Gotham Plaza is my favorite NES theme for any Batman game.
I must own this game now!!!
Whenever I watched the old animated series as a kid, the Gotham Plaza music always came to mind whenever I saw Batman fighting a bunch of thugs.
0:11 Prologue - Part 1
This has amazing music just like the 1st one on the nes.
Same composer as Mega Man 2, Takashi Tateishi
11:48 Stage 6 sounds lot like Jack Hawkins's "30 60 90"
Konami/Ultra Games soundtracks should be a genre unto themselves
Best Game Batman OST!!!!!
kicks bat-ass!
00
That's one dank, crunk beat.
0:11 sounds like "What I've Done" from Linkin Park...
Why do I get the feeling that Konami and SunSoft have the best music for the NES library
I wish I knew which song in this soundtrack sounds like "Deja Vu" from _Castlevania_ (_Akumajou Dracula_ in Japan)?
A game that seems to get somewhat less attention than it should, I think. Pretty fun game.
This soundtrack has no business being this good.
Sure, it does.
Heck yeah!
The beginning of that staff roll sounds like the Rollerball nes theme, lol.
Rollergames?
8:58 my
Not sunsoft but it still just as good.
2:57
nes batman returns ost master race
as a child, when I played a pirate nes in Russia in the 90s, this game seemed scary to me because of the gloomy and mysterious music
2:34
2:19
I personally prefer the SNES soundtrack but this is cool as well.
me too.
a wait, this is the konami one. I thought it's the sun soft one.
tmnt meets batman
first!
...guy to "like" this soundtrack :)
I love the NES and the SNES versions way better.
+VHS Headlines I know.
+Harri927 Makes since those where only versions worked on by Konami. although the master system/GG one is good to.
Aha
soundtrack is probably the only good memory I had about this game coz I can't even beat the first level coz this game controls like dick.
