    Great video!
Thanks for taking the time to show how you completed this project.
I have a brother-in-law who might be able to utilise a project like this.
I’ll be sharing with him and my sister!
I’ll see you and your Mrs, in the coming New Year,
Many well wishes to you both!

Hi Wayne!! You’ve helped me a couple times learn how to do some things and I really appreciate that.
I had a question for you actually.. my car battery died and I have one of those portable chargers to charge it.. it has a green light that says “connection secure” when you connect the jumper cables to the car battery, but for some reason that light won’t light up when I connect the cables to my cars battery. I’ve tried connecting the black wire to a “grounding” metal plate near the engine, and it still won’t connect. My mom has a ranger and it will work on hers, but my battery won’t connect to the portable charger.. I now don’t want to ruin my batter by trying to jump it with my mom’s car bc it’s not connecting properly. Would you say try to jump it anyways?
I know it’s really hard to tell without seeing the battery.. but do you have any tips? Do those little battery covers that hold it in place need to be off? Is there a trick when connecting the positive cable at all? Any tricks I would love, but I know it’s a hard to answer question. Thanks for reading anyways!!

It sounds like the battery is bad. A car battery can go bad to the point that it CAN'T be jumped off. If it's an option, remove your battery and take it to an auto parts store. Most have very good battery testers. They will be able to tell you if that is the problem. If not, try installing a different battery to see if that works. Also: if there is corrosion on the battery cables, that can cause your problem. Good luck with your project and have a great day.

@@DIYwithWayne hmm.. I’ve tried everything I can but still no luck. Thinking I’ll probably have to just buy a new battery, it seemed too new.
I appreciate your reply and help tho, you’re the man!!
