I'm feeling bad because I have 4 best friends. We are like sisters. We still have sleepovers every week even though we are in our mid 20s. I have an amazing family. But I still feel like I'm missing something. I was afraid to leave my loved ones to go to fashion school. And now im paying for it. I thought that passion would go away but it didn't. I still pick the apron that goes with my outfit where ever I work. I used to volunteer at fashion events and try fashion contests and even costume design but theres just not enough opportunities here. I don't want to lose them. But ive already lost enough of myself. @Yusra Hussein, Let me guess you watched that RUclipsr who made unjustifiable points about Prince Ea's content am I right? Prince Ea doesn't really mean what he said literally. Depression is a mental problem in our bodies. It's not an emotion I get that part. But from my perspective he's just saying that everything's gonna be okay. He's just trying to make us realize Depression will come and go depending on how we take care of that problem. It's a mental problem it's not our fault. But of course nothing will change if we sit around, crying and do nothing about it. (That was me a few years ago) What he said was true it can come and go. But only if we do something about it. I tried working out, tried something out my comfort zone. Talked to my parents about it. And you know it went away. People who were depressed like me needs to try something for a change and stop complaining if you really want it to go away. (But I know its easier said than done so take it one step at a time. I have faith in everyone. Peace ✌)

I think the real message here is that some motivational speakers are missing the mark with what they’re talking about by focusing on working hard instead of smart, and money, cars, etc. Their definitions of success are going to be regrettable in the future. Personally I define success as happiness so the 3 things mentioned in this video align perfectly with that.

Motiversity All he meant is that people should rethink what they think success is. Some people will watch motivational speeches about getting rich and powerful and will think “that’s what I want because that’s what being successful takes” but will forget that there are more important things in life that don’t come with that type of success.
Life is all about balance. The sacrifices one makes for the “power” type of success must not overwhelm the other things that make our lives meaningful, but that doesn’t mean “don’t work hard for what you want because it’s not as important as something else”, so it’s about balancing both types of success -achievements and spiritual happiness.
He’s not a motivational speaker he is a truth speaker and opens the rest of the world to his knowledge

...his advice is "you only have a limited number of moments so enjoy them" but I think he missed the spirit of his own words. You actually have and unlimited amount of moments. Time stretches out pretty much infinitely. Within every second is another hundred micro seconds.

I go go go and enjoy the hell out of the process. Motivation isn't about working your life away but rather having a better quality one. It isn't about making money so you can do whatever you want, it's about making small sacrifices so that you can live better, learn better and love better. It isn't about building our bank accounts, it's about building our reasons to be happy, learning gratitude and believing that we are powerful enough to achieve any goal we set our mind to. I get it, everyone thinks that money is the key to happiness, but happiness is actually a side effect of all the things we seek. I don't think motivational speakers tell you not to sleep; they use it as a comparison to show you how much you need to want something before you do what you need to do to make it happen.
What you should actually learn:
Chase your dreams and don't make them more "realistic"
Sleep a good number of hours each day (for energy and no anxiety)
Eat a balanced diet consisting of things you love
Build good relationships
Identify things you love and go after them
Don't compromise who you are
Exercise is SO important
Be disciplined enough to not make things worse, and maybe even make them better
Consistency is key for results
Be patient
Practice gratitude
Never give up
There are more but that's what i got from the hundreds of videos i studied. I don't intend to offend or demean your opinion but i don't think anyone ever said not to sleep. Besides, it's down to you to do your own research anyway if you want to improve your life.

I'm tired. I'm in a school where I have to wake up at 5 in the morning, and no matter how early I sleep I'm never fully awake. And when I get to school they work us to the bone and give us unhealthy amounts of assignments and books. It hurt like hell for me to read a 10 page book about how whine was made. I never chose this. I never wanted this. I wanted to cook and bake. Nothing more. And those *experiences* gave me a perspective. I needed some time for myself but neither school nor home gave me that. It was always study study study. What about actual learning? So I stopped for a hot minute and kept quiet to myself.
Sounds like my story but I was into music which I loved with all emotion but it was still all about school school school and oppression everywhere

I learnt this the hard way. We grew up with nothing when I was kid. My daddy he was the bread winner. My parents grew up in a time when finishing school wasn't important for females. So when he died he left only so much finances that we were good as broke. So I started doing research finding motivational talks, in primary I worked hard, in high school I worked. I got the good grades which made everybody think I had the world's greatest life at home. Then I got to Varsity in 2016, all that working hard, not having a balanced life, just trying to get my degree, so I can get my mama a house, a car, and just start companies of my own, I just want to give back to the community. I had so much depression, I failed my first year at University, I lost my sponsor. In 2017 I was repeating my first year in BSC (Biological Sciences) at the University of The Witwatersrand, and then by June 2017 I got the good grades I got accepted by Allan Gray, in 2018 I was doing my 2nd year, I was attending church every Sunday, and on Thursday if I could. But I became more depressed because I hadn't learnt my lesson I was breakinh down inside emotionally I was in so much pain, I already wanted to be successful, I wanted to have my life together. But this time I failed 2nd year I stopped going to church, but I never stopped praying to God, because I knew there had to be something wrong with my church. In 2019 I was repeating my second year, no sponsor no one to pay my fee's, so I had to get a part-time job, I got one in The Glen Mall, I was a Hostess earning R30.00 per hour I was there every weekend, one of the managers was horrible to me I was crying every weekend I had to work, but the money helped with travelling expanses. But somewhere in 2019 I met my now boyfriend, he said I should focus on my studies and every month he'd pay for whatever amount I got at Texamo Spur, so I quit and he was there for me. It's 2020 I got and average of 52% for my 2019 academic end year, and Allan Gray requires 65%. But I wrote them a motivational letter on the 17th of February this year I'm praying they answer me. It took me 5 years to get to my graduation year, I'm not stupid, I just can't quit that easily. So I pray Allan Gray answers me. But I also had to get a part time job because my boyfriend assists me with my funding as for the R 126 811.02 I have to fix myself, I mean it's my dream.
I don't know where life will lead me. But I'm going to be a Scientist, whether Forensic Scientist, Neuroscientist, or Biochemist. I'm going to win Nobel Prizes I'll make my mark here on this planet.
