Most fun I’ve had on a job 2023 pt1

Something totally unique for me, I’ve been ask to solve an issue of water ingress on a louver vent while keeping the ventilation and not to much invasion to the structure. After making this in pt1 I will be fitting in pt2. So much fun I absolutely love doing things like this.

This is lead. Used for roof and window flashing.

How do you keep from burning through? I’m a plumber and every time I try to repair a lead pipe or flange I burn right through it and make a mess

Have your work that is being welded against a flat surface.

Hey man it’s just years of practice. Starting on a slight incline and increasing to vertical. Just knowing the exact moment between melting and blow through. Start cold and things happen slowly.
