Do visit Segamat. You can try some nice food there. There is a bah kee teng shop behind the econsave and next to the Chinese temple, a nice porkchop place called Liong Hong on the same row as econsave behind the food court along the main road and some good asam pedas in ioi Segamat. Coco tree is also a very nice restaurant famous for their Lou shu fun, a type of noodle and one of the oldest coffee shop in Malaysia, Nanyang kopitiam is at the old town of Segamat. Believe me the food are really good and is quite underrated, so do try it :) P.s: there is a nice porridge shop opposite Green Castle breakfast spot that has some delicious porridge, but it is limited daily and often sells out by 9am.
One of Muar industry is furniture making. They export the furnitures to Korea and also the US.... By the way for history buffs do visit Bukit Kepong (before that try and watch the film by the same name to know a bit of the backstory)
There is like a yellow building @@SilverfoxJB as a good court. The food there is really nice and we'd go there a lot. The current church there if you didn't know, st andrew, is on the remnant of an old Portuguese church from those from melaka
When in Muar, Breakfast - satay at Satay Warisan, soto too Mee Bandung Ori Lunch - Tanjung emas food court or Asam pedas jalan joned Tea - Kopi 434 Murtabak Singapore at Tanjung Agas across the river Dinner - Sup Muar Medan Ikan Bakar Sabak Awor Bentayan food court And there several restairants that serve good western food As for chinese food, tou have to ask the chinese..
Personal opinion. UK KFC (with Gravy) is the best. But where I live in Johor, KFC is terrible and Marry Brown at my local branch is decent. But I would prefer McDonalds
@SilverfoxJB when I was in canada, I felt KFC in my hometown tasted better than Canadian KFC. Too salty for me. I have heard good stuff about mcd chicken. I hv tasted texas chicken as well.
Charming place. Seems pretty well kept. Fun time!
I had to get out and have a mini trip. It turned out OK

Muar is quite a large town. And huge river.
Yes, I like it, a nice place to grow up, I imagine.
Many thanks for watching
Maharani is empress.
Thank you
Muar is like klang, separated by a river and both royal town
Seems to me every town is a royal town
@SilverfoxJB no not all. Kuala kangsar is the royal town for perak state.
Muar is the royal town of Johor hence the crown sculpture
If every town I visit has one of them does that mean they are all royal towns? Seems to lose it's value
Yr reason fr d Muar trip?
Ours usually......3 days 2 nites of binge eating 😅
Just for fun, food wise Muar is lacking

Marry brown is not as tasty as kfc

@ Ironically the KFC I had in America was some of the worst.
The best Chicken available in Malaysia from chains is 4 Fingers or BonChon
@SilverfoxJB KFC in north America just not for me.
