I know, right? But the real question is...would we get both sides again? I don't trust Capcom with anything after the broken mess that Street Fighter V has been, and I say that with all three season passes under my belt. That said, I would adore an SNK / Playmore 2D fighter with all the animation frames they could squeeze out.
When you try to cram a higher powered Naomi hardware game into a generation earlier CD console, you do have to make sacrifices. I have the Japanese PS1 version of this game, but it has copy protection, so I can't use a boot disc like the Gameshark Disc/Memory Card combo to play it, one of the few Japanese PS1 games that won't work with this workaround (Twinbee Taisen Puzzle Dama and Power Instinct 2 are 2 others I have that won't boot with this work around).
Capcom put some extra protection on this game, I have the Japanese PS1 version, a US PS2 with Fliptop mod to play import PS2 and PS1 games, and this game will NOT run on that PS2. I see a picture telling me it's a dirty disc with a no symbol on it (it's a legit disc too) every time I have tried it. Runs fine in an emulator, and likely on a Japanese PS1 and PS2, but like the second game, Capcom put some copyright protection upon it. I bought the JP version because it was under $30, cheaper than the US version (which has shot up in price the last few years), but sadly, not playable wi9th any workaround on US consoles.
I disagree about the button change. The 3 punch 3 kick is a huge loss to strategy and combo elements of the game and it should never have been taken out. Thats why the capcom vs marvel games imo are terrible these days. The best of those series are msh vs street fighter and x-men vs street fighter. When brought down to just 2 kick and 2 punch it basically turns into a button masher.
Rapture2930 And besides, when you think of medium attacks in Street Fighter, what do you think of? The only three that typically come to mind are f.mp(can be set to f.lp), cr.mk(df.lk or cr.hk with sweep on df.hk), and cr.mp(same with cr.mk) As for other standing medium normals, most of them are just unneccesary, and are usually made obsolete by other normals. Examples with Ryu: cl.MK can be set to cl.HK cl.MP is straight up worse than cl.HP. f.HP is still f.HP. With Ken you can have st.MK set to st.HK, with the latter move on f.HK(they're both roundhouse kicks anyways)
@The King of Iron Fists, Myself being an SNK guy, I don't really need a DC in this day and age for those fighting games. After all I have CvS 2 on PS2, along with KoF 98 UM (beats that DC KoF 99 Dream Match hands down), KoF 99-01 on the PS2 Nests Saga (yes, they used the DC versions on that compilation, along with the arcade versions), Last Blade 2 on PS2, along with the first game for it in that Last Blade 1 and 2 compilation, and Garou MotW also on PS2. KoF 02 is also on PS2, albeit with an added character or two not found on the DC version. On the Capcom side, I'd love to have the DC's MvC 1 as it is a physical release, unlike the digital one on PS3 with Marvel Origins, I have MvC 2 on PS2 (people nitpick that port, personally, I find nothing wrong with it), CvS 2 on PS2 (people nitpick this one too, there's nothing wrong with it). But DC has Project Justice 2/Rival Schools 2, but that bad boy is quite expensive now. I do have the original on PS1 though, the Japanese version, I love it too. There's Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper on DC, but the PS2 version on Alpha Anthology is considered better as the DC version is based upon the Naomi version, which is based off the PS1 version, with broken hitboxes, and missing animation frames (c'mon Capcom, you guys screwed up big time). However, those who have a DC and some extra money to burn, do pick up the fighters I listed for that console, and get yourself a converter to where you can use a Saturn pad, as that DC pad is a mess to play fighting games with.
Rockman IXA I usually like using ps1 games on a ps3, it looks cleaner with the smoother but it loses a bit of its crispness. Depends if you like that or not. I dont mind it.
Not Guile vs Bison, Is Guile vs Rugal. In KoF 94,Rugal collects statues of fighters he's beaten and one of the statues was Guiles
But Capcom made it right with snk vs capcom 2 which is one of the greatest fighting games of all time....imo
we need CvSNK 3

I would get Capcom vs SNK 1 Pro for the PS1 and Capcom vs SNK 2 EO for the GameCube. And by the way, Sagat's name is pronounced "Sa-got".
Did you see the Capcom Fighting Game Collection 2 trailer from Nintendo Direct?
Just watched it! Capcom really is pulling out all the stops. :O
I want to say this was released in the US after the PS 2 came out.
Were the special effects left in full for the Naomi Arcade version?

CvSNK 2 is a great fighting game :3
Shame the music is a downgrade from the first game though.

This ain't on true blue mini fight stick
Well that's not good.
@@GameRaveTV is there a flash stick with this on it similar to true blue mini fight pack
@@dragonballtalk8527 I don't follow ROM scenes as far as that type of acquirement goes. You'll have to research that on your own. Thank you!

Rapture2930 Actually did you forget about having MP and MK being mapped to command normals?

hi
Dreamcast version better :v
SuchWowStudios Yes, but this port for Psx is amazing.
Nicolas Sky Agreed 100%
Well the arcade original is based on the Naomi hardware, which is a Dreamcast, so of course it would be.

I used to have Capcom vs SNK Pro on PS1 and it was horrible compared to the Arcade/Sega Dreamcast versions.
It's not horrible, it plays well and is loads of fun still.
This port was a pixelated mess.
