Context is: he’s trying to explain the impermissibility of Istigatha bi Nabi. Does that justify speaking about the prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم in this manner to you?
I get what he is trying to say. But he said in a disrespectful way. He could have meant the Prophet SAW didn't have money or food at times so he wouldn't be able to help materialistically. But allahua3lam. Doesn't excuse the manner in which he said this.
Allah the almighty himself said to the prophet s.a.w that he should say this himself:

SAHIH INTERNATIONAL
Say, “I hold not for myself [the power of] benefit or harm, except what Allah has willed. And if I knew the unseen, I could have acquired much wealth, and no harm would have touched me. I am not except a warner and a bringer of good tidings to a people who believe.”

It is funny, he will speak in this mocking way about Prophet PBUH, or Husayn RA, but try to say a word against his Najdi scholars, or his secularist leaders, and then see how he behaves.
