Thank you for your comment efox2001. Unfortunately I did. Perhaps I will include it in the next one. I only realised how many great flying boats there are after I started doing research, and had to pick 5.
Not even the top 5 'American' flying boats... Where is the Shorts Sunderland? Where are the Schneider Trophy Supermarines? And as is echoed a thousand times below I bet, PYB Catalina?
2 planes I think you missed are the PBY and the Lake, which is used by the hundreds in Alaska and Canada. Personally, I find it difficult to include an aircraft that only flew once, and not that far. Not to mention that the interior was never finished.
Brazil needs URGENTLY of FLYING BOATS again, because it's not possible to connect AMAZONIA without them! They are the ideal type of aircraft to ANTI-SUBMARINE WAR, because the are ideally slow to this activity.
How can you not include the PBY Catalina in a list of flying boats
Please!, Scratch The Totally Needless, Useless Self Deprecating Music! Aircraft Engine Sound Is Much More Appealing!
Since you included amphibians like the CL-415 I'm wondering why the PBY wasn't included. The Catalina is most likely the finest amphibian ever made.
I was allowed to board the Martin Mars when she was in Port Alberni several decades ago...
No Catalina, Sunderland or H8K Emily ?? Instead the Albatross and a Canadair firebomber and a one-off that barely flew? I don't get the omissions.
bryan schultz
I can understand the Albatross being here, but the Spruce Turkey?!
Very nice collection. I hope you add a Part 2 (and maybe even a 3 or a 4). Just something magical about the flying boats.
Thank you for your nice positive comment Lincoln. I will do it as soon as I have tome to spare again.
You are welcome! There is not nearly enough positivity in the online world, so I try to do my small part.
Feature the Be-200, Icon and a Chinese giant flying boat in a followup video
Thank you for your comment Rapid Thrash. Will do that, thank you for the suggestion!
What about the Short Sunderland?
Um... Did you really leave out the PBY Catalina!?

no wonder why planes are not using JETMOTORS on the boatplanes...
all boatplanes uses propellers motors
Thank you for your comment
The Be-200 is a jet powered flying boat, and there are others.
