Great lesson! Very clear with the tabs and explenation. For anyone who got confused, there's one bass note missing in the 4th section between A7 and D. 2nd string open between the 1st string 2nd fret and 2nd string 3rd fret. Pretty easy to recognise looking at the alternating bass pattern. Cheers and happy picking :)
In the 4th section I think you forgot to add a bass note in the tablature between the A7 and D. Minor critique but I had to watch multiple times to confirm so I was playing it right
i think i can learn all these types of songs it's just going to take some time i can finger pick pretty good and play some don ross and andy mckee, but i mostly played heavy metal on electric my whole life. this lesson looks like it will help me a lot. just starting to learn this stuff and it's akward haha
very good in the record that can heat did "Going up to the county" they use a capoe on the 8 fret. But that is another blue guitar group. What I like about Blind Blake is is right hand. I play his "Breakdown" a lot as well as "chump man". People think that Robert Johnson was a great guitar player but Blake has him beat
I was just going to ask a question about the fingering on the 2nd section D chord measure and you seem to have read my mind a few frames later. Twobluesmen, you are detailed oriented and you emphasis on recording both hands at different angles, which is very important in any guitar lesson uploads. I have played Kenny sultan's interpretation of this song from Blind Blake and although I haven't yet achieved correct speed and syncopation, I seem to gravitate to your interpretation a bit better. You have been subscribed. Thank you...
I love the clarity of this lesson. You are a gifted teacher. Personally I am having a lot of trouble with the D bit that follows after the 'long A' in the second section. I can play it according to the tabs and your slow version, but no matter how I speed it up, or adjust the rhythmic stress, it sounds nothing like how this phrase sounds on your full speed version where there appears to be fewer beats/notes. Probably just me, but any thoughts?
