(Don't take part in double-experience gameplay: novice copy, adventurer's book, ancestral path, fishing, magic challenge, etc.) 2. Take part in double-drop gameplay: Heradim Atlas, Magic Challenge, Challenge Secret Surroundings, Bounce, Fishing, Challenge Copy, Fortress Exploration, Purify the Tower of Quake, Eliminate Monsters in the Wild, Treasure Treasure, Hidden Remains, etc.) 3. During the event, each player will have a chance to double the Legendary Gems in the Immortal Realm, and after using this opportunity, will double all the Legendary Gems dropped in the Immortal Realm, double the Legendary Gems will be bound and randomly star-rated, and the original Legendary Gems dropped will not be affected. 4. During the Double Festival Day event, the Double Festival special BUFF ball can be dropped by killing the monster, and each Double Festival BUFF ball will bring a completely different and unobtrusive combat experience
In one of my other games, they used to do this sort of nonsense, better events for Chinese market. They stopped doing it a few years back. There should not be favoritism based on your server. All players should have same events. Now I ask, how is this any different from that dupe gem scandal. Blizz/NetEase makes money from platinum for both this sort of unlimited event and illegal gem dupes. The players who dont cheat or who do not live in china are the ones who get screwed because the devs either create these unfair events or they sanction illegal activities by turning a blond eye to it and not taking those dupe gems back. Bottom line is that some players, cheaters or based on region, are getting a ridiculously unfair advantage over other players. I know the Euro market pay considerably less for chests etc - stuff in the store. It's all about putting the screws to Americans. Global attitude not at all unique to gaming.
Well, I live in Croatia and I feel like we should pay less than the rest of Europe bcs the standard of living is below average, but guess what? Prices are the same for my scandinavian buddies, just not the sallaries though. I think they raised the prices multiple times. Name a chest and give me a price, I can check. xD
Imo this is a good choice by Blizzard. The difference in power level between players would increase and many players would be reluctant to spend until a similiar event. Also, some players that already spent a lot would probably be mad of a 50% sale. Not having this event is way healthier for the DI economy. Remember that the Chinese version is a different game. As far as I know Blizzard servers have no interaction with their servers, so why compare it to the dupe situation?
There are a lot more to it than just the gems and I even stated I kinda understand the legendary gems, but we should at least get the other stuff of the event to get more enjoyment from playing the game and tbh I am pretty sure the game was already designed around this event More so if the 10 pity is a real thing on Chinese server Power level is already in HUGE difference if anything this would help players in the lower resonance Also remember it takes around 5 mins to do 10 crests counting in all the breaks you have to take through the day toilet breaks etc so it would be aroun 5 minutes so if a whale goes all in on this event they still only get to do about 60 crest in an hour x24 so about 1200 crest in a day which is probably 5% If even that what they have used so again this is event is mostly for mid to low spenders to catch up
They need to make events like this in our versions so mid and low spenders can try to catch up. This was marketed as a f2p game and if they want longevity they need to start making ways for low and mid spenders to at least try to catch up to whales. Im a 4.5k res and im pretty much done spending money on this shitshow of a game but if there was an event like this in our server i would buy some crests to try to lvl up gems
I think its more profound for them, since its the spring festival - the equivalent of new year and christmas combined. It would be nice if we can have an experience like that too, since we also celebrated it in south east asia (for the most part), like in singapore, malaysia, indonesia thailand, philppines, vietnam, even south korea and japan.
Makes you wonder about the economics of the game with respect to Chinese vs American players. Maybe American players (on a whole) are much richer than Chinese. If we are willing to pay more to rank up our gems, it would make sense to be stingy for a "one-run sale" on gems. Don't really know, but it's interesting to speculate.
It's like nearly every market- exploit Americans. The most disgusting example of this is Big Pharma, the pharmaceutical industry. Of course they take advantage of Americans, every other market on the planet does.
I might be wrong, but I am pretty sure Chinese version is pumping more money than any other server Or at least that's mostly the case in mobile games hence most mobile games eagerly wanting to get inside Chinese market
