Can we just appreciate how the actual power level of Raven Beak here?? Like, we know that the federation doesn't have the resources or ability to contain an X parasite infection of a planet when it just consumes random wildlife. But, here we learn that Raven-Beak single handedly handled an X infection of "CHOZO SOLDIERS", and he did it without the aid of any metroid DNA or absorption abilities. Like, he did what you did in Fusion, but without the ability to absorb them. That's CRAZY!!!!!!

I can only imagine the emotions running through Samus' head when she saw Quiet Robe and realized he was indeed a Chozo. She had watched Zebes, the planet she was essentially raised on, go out in a fiery explosion courtesy of a final "f you" from Mother Brain. She assumed there was nothing left of the Chozo...but here was a survivor - one of Old Bird's and Grey Voice's people. She must have been so happy to be able to speak Chozo again.
Which makes Quiet Robe's sudden death so much worse with how suddenly it happens.

This blew my mind. Seeing an alive Chozo, talking with one, who expands upon the memories in Samus Returns. Then we learn more about the motivations behind the villain, and about the truth on ZDR.
Then Samus speaks in Chozo language, promising Quiet Robe he would stop Raven Beak.
This makes Quiet Robe's death such a gut punch, especially as he's the last friend she has left aside from Adam, and the last of her true family, (not Raven Beak).
Metroid Dread is such a great conclusion to the story.

Who's to say that there isn't a secret Chozo colony somewhere? Perhaps one that's completely isolated from what happened to the rest of their civilization? Or maybe they choose to hide themselves until the right moment? There's so much room for possibility! I love it!

Why would they feel sorry about? They are a dominant alien species in the Galaxy which is advanced in every level. No wonder why Raven Beak opposed the ways of Chozo to just abandon the cosmos and seek that balance. He decided that in order to become more powerful, he needed an army, fleets, stronghold systems, and the Metroid. If Raven Beak's plan ever came to fruition the GF government would had fall.
A single Chozo warrior can take on 20 humans and defeat them in combat as they are extremely capable combatants. A Chozo generated conflict would had been more devastating to the Galaxy than that of the Phazon Crisis, the meteors, and Dark Samus (Metroid Prime) all together. Think about it.

Maybe its just me being a Metroid fan but seeing an actual living chozo outside of memories or traces of their civilizations, my heart felt nothing but grief after hearing so many horrid things that happened to them more than be excited to see one alive and well. I know it sounds weird but after learning about their systematic extinctions in multiple planets that housed their civilizations it felt more like you were walking into living tombs rather than a planet with rich history delicately handled by a people who were so interwoven into their homeworlds that they would do anything in their power to preserve them....and every time they were upended by forces way beyond their control. Im hoping that we actually come upon an entire tribe or possibly a sanctuary planet they have colonized I really don't want to think that a unique people are just gone. Sorry for the feel coaster but that's how much this series means to me. Still lets hope there's more survivors out there that are not like Raven Beak.

By preventing the Thoha from destroying ZDR, the five mainline games are technically his fault. Without SR388, there would be no metroids for the space pirates to mass produce during Zero Mission, no metroids for samus to exterminate during Samus Returns, no baby metroid to seek during Super Metroid, no X Parasites to infest the BSL during Fusion, and no metroid dna to transform Samus during Dread.
The only things that would continue to happen is the space pirates would still be causing trouble in the galaxy and there is still some chance that ZDR would have been infected with the X thanks to that one soldier, but we really don't know what the circumstances behind that incident would be so we can't say for sure.

Elun used to be a military base or sanctuary for the Mawkin, but Raven Beak, fearing a possible X invasion, secretly had a containment chamber built around it. When the X invaded, he had the last of his people retreat into the base, using them as bait to lure the infected Chozo. Then he activated the containment protocol. We later see that Raven Beak can open Elun from his airship, so he was able to stay safe while he did all this.

Here's a theory: The Thoha placed a self-destruct switch on SR388 that requires incredible force to destroy it. Due to the Thoha and Zebes Chozo tribes' closeness, Samus learned of the switch before Fusion, and knew that the BSL slamming into it would be forceful enough to destroy SR388.
And, another theory: The EMMI was being controlled by Quiet Robe in a way that would make sure that Samus doesn't register the Chozo as a threat.

    • @VGamingJunkieVT

You would like Timdeuces opinion then. I found his vids after Dread's storyline was sucha disappointment. It helped me come to the conclusion that Mercury will never make a Metriod game as good as the Primes. Though the fanbois (yes the misspelling is to show my contempt for their antics) may scream about it being a hot take, Metroid storylines are getting worse over time.
