Love those red and blue Malcolm Smith Enduro Jackets. I had one for years.... still miss it.
Makes me smile everytime I throw a leg over my 85 XR600, still a great machine to ride.
Had two xr 600's an 84 xr 500 and still have my favorite 1985 xr350
I have a 96 xr 600 best bike i ever owned
Demo pigs will run forever with basic maintenance all respect🤔
In 2014 I picked up what was to be Larrys 87 Baja mount...a one off Husky Race shop Niles Ussery built 85 250CR framed 87 430XC water pumper engined special WP USD forked bike. 4.6 gal Acerbis tank and dual 9 in Cibie Super Oscar rally lights for night riding. Now fall 2020 and currently restoring it for NORRA 1000 Rally run and or sale as a race restoration. Great bike!
There was a game called Motorstorm for ps3 later in 2006. That gave a glimpse of what this really felt like 🙌🙌🙌
Best racing game
Just WOW and I thought I was fast. XRs are dabomb and always have been!!!
Iconic to say the least
Love the xr600 action!
Very cool video. I just picked up a 1985 Husqvarna 500XC to restore. Love watching them running flat out like that.
I had a '85 500XC in '86, sold it and bought a new 1987 510 TX. Raced both. Last of the Swedish Huskys.
That is so cool I love that 80's moto thing
That Marlboro jacket at the end tho 👌
Nice work Wasden
man... those guys haul balls.
The old big bore 2 strokes is just the nicest sound flat out
The Legendary XR
Met Larry about that time in a garage in apple Valley. I was 7
Those guys rode fast as fuck, masive thumbs up.
Honda enjoying dominance until 1988 when Mark Johnson's Kawasaki KX500 team came along. Honda refused to run the CR500 (which is a shame), and stuck to four bangers. The result was Honda playing second fiddle to Kawasaki in Baja for the next ten years.
The 4stroke XR 650r also beat the kx from 97-05 with Johnny Campbell on it. Then Honda 4strokes continually won the Baja 1000 until 2013. 2 strokes are great but make no mistake these bikes rip.
@@jvogler_art4708 Bought a XR560R new back in 2005. Loved that bike; an absolute beast.
That was a great era for 2 and 4 stroke bikes. Almost the 70s
I think this was the year my dad raced the 1000 on his atc 250r
Badass
I had a 1985 500XC Husky....in 19887
Paid alot...$500...it was a used race bike..
Not clapped out...but he showed where they tried JB weld a case crack...the San Diego racer used a milk crate to start it.....he wasn't that tall..Anyway boom the pile leaks...I spend $900 and bought half a crankcase...the crack started at the kickstater shaft hole ....the JB weld did prevent leaks for awhile...
Got it back from the shop...
It didn't run so good...the shop mechanic thought I broke the case..timing was way retarded...
I adjusted carb...& timing...
Got it running perfect..
Rode it only (3) times....
Best ride..on the Husky..Wickenburg to Alamo Lake and Bill Williams river area..
When I went to Korea.....my two bikes were stolen..
1981 Yamaha It-465 and 1985 Husky XC-500...
There you go..

"This is the sort of track where the bikes hold supremacy over the cars"...... Okay... Ummm, so its a normal track lol
Fourstroke offroad is about as exciting as Joe Biden...
Clearly you have never experienced the torque on a big bore 4 stroke.
