    It's not luck you got a few abolone as well as the lobster, it's because you took your good luck charm/deckhand Rebecca with you 😀 Great to see you both out there doing it. Hope you have an awesome year ahead and keenly look forward to your next fishing VLog. Cheers from NZ

    Super informative video, lovey to see you get out and about in winter. It would be nice to see how you prepare the Abalone, how you cut them free or the shell and which bits you cut off. Thanks for making the video.

    Nice haul Troj, enjoy them! "Smash Fishing" had a good haul too in last day or so.

      Yes there was a lot of good catches for such a small tide. although the water did seem to go out a lot further than predicted.

    It's Sunday so it's fun by the sea time ! Recommended viewing for the people who can only get to the sea a few times a year 🎣👍

    Looked like back braking stuff but well worth it for that feed. Such an abundance of edible sea life around the island, great to see and as always has made my Sunday morning👍

    Team Troy goes Rockhopping! Nice one Guys! Lovely find on the Lobster, and a great haul of Ormers. Only just realised you are now on Twitter so have followed over there - don't use it as much as I used to, but very handy if I need to send you a link or a quick photo of something! Hit the button please Troy! I Don't go near Facemuck or Instagram. Stay safe & well - Dave.

    Hi Troj, Rebecca is it correct that you can only collect Abalone in daylight hours. If true it seems every tide matters now. Thanks for another great video, stay safe.

    • @Trojwaterman
      @Trojwaterman  Год назад

      Yes only daylight tides. It always used to be that way as its hard to regulate at night with the checks by sea fisheries

    How long can you keep ormas alive for and how do you store them mate 🤔

    • @Trojwaterman
      @Trojwaterman  Год назад

      You can keep them in aerated seawater for a few days but your not allowed to be in possession of them outside of the days you can legally collect them.
