One point I would like to make: Hibiki was his student body president and overachiever. She is fully capable of organizing. In fact, it was so natural to her that she took up the Goddess' offer to be the hero. Makato is stepping aside and avoiding the hassle. He does have a new domain to construct and all.
What I have heard about the change from blue to orange with the mana suit was because of a weird situation with the Studio that makes Dragon Ball. Basically to either reference Dragon Z Super or pay a fee. I don’t know if it is true or not but that is the rumor floating around from many sources.

At most, he reshaped his spells into his iconic Bow & Arrow form for ease of use.
The only "weapon" he used was the little knife/bolt/arrow thing. And he launched that along with a bundle of full rings and the majority of his mana reserves in the final attack that made the lake.
Our skeleton boy was on fire in this episode 🔥, here hoping to see more his action with Mio and Tomoe in later arcs

he actually is still only tapping about 10% of his potential. he is in a deep misconception that he is a lower being, but he is a same lvl of being as tomoe a contracted true dragon. and mio a contracted calamity beast. contracted being supplied power by makoto.
its gonna take a while till makoto clears this misunderstanding. when he does, he catched up to tomoe and mio very fast.
he is currently using 4 rings max. thinking 13 is the limit. but its actually 169.

I thought it was interesting that Makoto knew he was being watched by Luto. I thought we would see a reaction from Luto once he said that. It is also interesting how Hibiki is piecing stuff together, Hibiki and Makoto's meet might be sooner than later so I am curious to see how that'll eventually go.
1, iirc makoto knew about Root's using sofia as a camera due to investigation field/kai. It has quite an impressive scanning ability, its just up to makoto to interperate what he sees/feels and respond to it if required. 2)Taking the wn into account (i have not read the ln) it shouldnt be too long for the hibiki thing.
I mean the production team probably had to extend Makoto's fight. If I recall correctly, Makoto fired a single arrow at Sophia at the end with an energy comparable to the nuke he fired at fort Stella and it was over. He kept on nonchalantly tanking her hits while shit-talking rest of the battle.
I liked how Makoto says that he doesn't need a target because everything becomes his target, sad they didn't animated that part.
Sofia thought if she did the whole "I am the bone of my sword.." it'll help her, but Makoto wasn't fazed.

They really should have be more prepared than being so aggressive, but of course they didn't believe Makoto would come and ruin their days without even breaking his rings seal or pulling out all of his card
Well gotten hand it to her, she certainly struggled in end without looking too miserable
She had devoured three major dragons. As in most of the dragon race was powering her at that point. Any normal person would have been cooked, but he isn't normal...my boy is ready to take the creator of the world in a throw down and he's only getting stronger. And that is on top of the two strongest dragons period either being his minion or so terrified of him as to try to talk him out of roughing up the world for its misdeeds to him.

Sofia _really_ didn't think about what pulling Makoto into Lancer's domain would mean. Or maybe she didn't expect him to immediately comprehend how the place worked and target the swords. Still, moving the fight to a place where you are harmed by collateral damage, knowing what happened last fight? Well, nobody called her the _smartest_ adventurer.
Feel bad for that one student that wanted to see her again.

@@MrDibara the issue is, makoto was stronger than them from the start. first because of his training on earth to overcome the world. and second because he was directly gifted more power by the moon god. as opposed to be granted a small portion from the goddess.

the thing about tsukimichi that people dont get is that, the series treats its world as a living world with its own direction and stories. and the main character is not part of it.
in most isekai anime and manga, things happen because of the MC, either because he is involved, or because someone asked them for help and they got involved.
in here, makoto's story happens and the world continues to follow its ways. the demon's plans didnt involve him, and he didnt really stop them(for the most part), he gave them a way out, because he doesnt really care either way.
the irony is, makoto doesnt feel a conection to this place, and in many ways, its all a fake land with fake people. some of them he cares about, but most can all die in a fire and he wouldnt be bothered.
he isnt a hero, meanwhile the heroes are basically caricatures of the traditional isekai protagonists. with tomoki being the harem mc with a legion of women at his beck and call, while hibiki is the "good doer" who goes around "helping" everyone and trying to save hyumanity.
while makoto is just a guy trying to live his life, while wishing he could go back to his world.

Sofia went through an entire off screen training arc, got a bunch of new powers, a transformation, and unlocked UBW just to do all of 0 damage to Makoto.
Waiting for Season 3 to get announce, a lot of epic moment is waiting for us over in Season 3.
the main reason im looking foward to season 3, is because im pretty sure, its when best man in isekai history will show up. those who know, know.

By this point, Makoto is breaking Sonic The Hedgehog's record for how many times he's fallen out of the sky.
Makes me question how many times Luffy from One Piece fell out of the sky.
So if anyone wants to pick up source material: manga is behind anime, LN started releasing official translation this year, but AFAIK only 3 volume are released yet (this episode is in volume 10).
There is unofficial translation that you can find online, keep in mind it's not ideal, but it's better then nothing. If you want to read it, this episode ended at chapter 163.
I will say - so far I've read few chapters ahead and it's a shame there is only 1 episode left, because there is some very interesting things happening if only they had like 1 or 2 episodes more to spare.
The webnovel? Yeah... I'm kind of disappointed with the fight with Sophia and makoto but I feel it was done for pacing reasons. Looking forward to season 3 lol

@@abbysaito5348 i mean, its done on purpose. she is nowhere near strong enough to make him push himself. so thefight is basically that, him doing the bare minimum he can get away with, because he cant be bothered to go all out.
could they made a bigger spectacle? sure, but part of point of this event is to show that even at her strongest, which is far above how she was when they first met, as well as the power she displayed against tomoki. she still was no diferent from tomoki was compared to her.
also, it showed that makoto wasnt engaged enough to care what she did. because at that point, she was harmless to him. and so he went on to humiliate her, in the most nonchalant way possible. by simply destroying the core of her powerup.
Trust me Brandon, from here, it picks up heavy. The events after this set up one very heavy path for him
THEY MISSED THE BEST ONE LINER! Just before UBW when Sofia is saying Makoto is taking it easier on her and she has learnt not to do that the she asks Makoto if his attitude to the fight could be anything but 'negligence and conceit' and makoto just replies with one word 'Leeway'.
He said it's because he has lee way and that must've hurt Sofia's pride
It's funny how Sofia got so much more confident after Lancer died and she gained his power and yet begged Makoto not to exorcise the swords in that dominion. She had completely lost to Makoto and even with the Japanese sword, it was futile. We don't even see her actually being killed, it happens off screen. Unless she's still alive, but I don't think Makoto would show her mercy at this point.
She is probably alive, but he didn't show mercy. He shot her square in the heart.
If she survived that merciless attack, I imagine she must be *beyond* weakened afterwards. Maybe Luto/Root will show up to taunt her ass just for funzies, since she was so obsessed with fighting him after all. 🤣

If anything, this felt like Gilgamesh vs Iskandar: all that Reality Marble and power, just to be effortlessly undone.

The 2 sisters rebuilding Kanelon(or whatever it's called), and let's not forget does Mio perfect her magic bullet and kill that snake dude? I doubt all questions will be answered next Ep, so damn right there better be a 3rd season
If they show the glimpses in the last episode, then you'll love the people who went to see the Goddess
Loved how Makoto disrespected Sofia during their entire battle. He was giving it back 10 fold from that time she sliced his fingers. Shiki was amazing this episode. Happy to see him being OP instead of comic relief.
In the book, there was a passage where Sofia told him it was careless of him to talk while fighting her, he just answers that he has enough leeway to do that. I was a little sad it didn't included in the anime.

It's so refreshing to see an MC who actually finished their fight. None of this "hey you've tried to kill me multiple times now but I'm gonna let you get away again." Makoto just gets straight to the point "yeah you've tried to murder me twice now, not gotta ask about your life story, I'm just going to end you."
Lancerepitomized "Live by the sword, die by sword." That was an interesting and cool power set. I'm curious to see the direction Shiki goes in getting more power. More rings?

Remember this from the manga... the bit i saw of it anyway. He gets to like lvl 4 when he one shots their equivalent to a big bad mega boss monster. Then his power is surpassing the goddess.
Haveing gotten bit by the story quite a while ago and found some tts audiobooks on youtube and some sites to listen to at work all im saying im looking forward to a certain meeting and a couple of fights that is quite a ways away if memory serves me right but anyways love the show and i cant wait untill the next season
And also wow this spring anime season has been quite the banger tsukimichi slime tensei and mushoku tensei with quite the rough episode on fathers day of all days
Makoto tries to be a 'good' person as he learned growing up, but deep down he is very different in nature. we see hits here and there, like when he was young and saw a dead animal, or the hyman that caused the orcs and tomo fragment death, and this fight.
I already can't wait to see how Season 3 unfolds! I need more moments with best girl Tomoe. 😁🙏

Season 2, like the arcs in the WN, was partially relation, character building, partially action. From here on in the WN, the arcs mix development with action. A lot goes on.
Good! I'm actually a big fan of that kind of progression. Action will always have its charm, but I love it when a story takes a break from it to focus on building its worlds, its characters and the politics going on in the grander scheme of things.

In the WN Sofia is disintegrated by an arrow which destroyed the whole domain.
I think, if Sofia is still alive, she is beyond weakened and probably uncapable of moving. Wonder what her character will do in the future, if she _did_ indeed survive.

@@marcosdheleno anime wise It depends if he can overcome Ains’ time stop and instant death spells. Isekai character wise Rimiru by the later bits of the LN series is even more busted. I respect Makoto more as a character than the other two though. He takes more action, is more relatable l, and a lot of his powers feel earned.
@@ericford911 he is probably immune to death spells. seeing as he is under a divine curse, that takes precedence. as for time stop, it really depends if he can get affected by those as well.
ainz would probly be the biggest opponent to him, i dont doubt.
ainz is also a smarter fighter, who understand his magic far more than makoto.
but, like i said, it all depends on how ainz magic would affect makoto, and how ainz would try to overcome those issues.
Fingers crossed that Episode 25 ends with a confirmation of Season 3! 🤞

On an unrelated note... I wonder if Hibiki is slowly realizing that "the Devil/"sorcerer" with the cosplay suit" is actually the boss of Kuzunoha Trading Company.
She at least seemed to figure out that "Super Sentai dude"(Makoto) must've been from her own world, so it will be interesting to see in the distant future when she eventually meets Makoto face to face, recognizes her old kouhai, and possibly reaches the conclusion that it was *him* helping them out during this incident.
Remember, Makoto actually wanted his involvement in this kingdom to NOT become common knowledge, so I wonder how much diplomatic problems that would cause him if Hibiki not only figured out it was him, but also considered revealing that to someone.
My only thing is that aside from like a couple more battles going forward, this was probably the best season we're going to get in terms of satisfying action. The power creep is starting to set in a little bit, so I can see the show going a little more political for a while so that his strength doesn't become the focus.

The changing of colors on the coat doesn't change his powers any. In blue mode it has a bit more defense while red mode is mostly for speed.

If Sofia is really dead then it would be the second time they kill a character before they could have a satisfactory arc for their lifes, first with Hopleis, not being able to reconcile with Lyria, and now Sofia not having his fight with Luto or getting to meet up with her childhood friend that's one of Makoto's students, in another series blue hair dude would safe Sofia from her shackles of revenge, altho Sofia was pretty far gone when it comes to evil, she had an aliance with Lancer and they had killed and executed many innocent people by now, so she past the point of redemption, altho taking into consideration that Mio and Tomoe probably have a bigger kill count, maybe she wasn't too far from redemption for this series. XD

the reason makoto didnt offer, is because he never does. its those 3 who begged to enter a contract with him. which he reluctantly accepted.
sofia and hopeleis at no point asked for that, or were sorry for going against the MC. and even if they did, the most that would happen is him leting them live.
What Lancer and Sofia Bulga gave us were bootleg versions of Gate of Babylon and Unlimited Blade Works from the Fate series lol

If you liked Shiki's fight then I recommend you read the Novel, there is more going on in this fight than it seems in the anime.

Yeah, it maybe easy to forget but the area where those monsters originally came from to begin with is known as a huge "DO NOT GO THERE" zone because it's exceedingly dangerous and I don't even think it's been fully explored by the hyumans and demons of that world because the deeper you go the more dangerous it is. Makoto casually takes all types of demihumans from there and then has them all train together to learn each other's strengths and make them exponentially stronger.
i wouldnt go that far, specially with how some events that happen, and some characters are introduced. the world of tsukimichi is BIG. so all im going to say is, dont be surprised by what's about to happen.

yep, and season 3 will start the same as season 2, but instead of being presented the heroes, the people will see basically what ifs.

As for the meeting between the Hibiki and makoto, she's diffidently starting to piece some things together , and she did buy the weapon from his shop before it was was .....ah.....erased from the planet. The next Episode is apperantly entitle "The Party _something-or-another_ ", so I believe it will mostly just be the conclusion of the Season with a celebration. _Doesn't mean they can't use it to set up future events, though._ ;)
What can i say.... Archer met Neo-Archer and the better Archer one, this was just quality time and again, everything is falling into place and popping off one arrow after another!, the beatdown, jjust went from bad to aw damn she gonna get cooked and served. S3 can't come soon enough!!

Every major player in this episode has voiced at least one character in the Fate franchise. Sofia's voice actress is particularly recognizable, as her voice for Sofia is nearly identical to her voice for Mordred. Needless to say, her "unlimited blsde works" scene was a little surreal...

Also i wanted to add, Makoto learned a lot during this time period. It was one of the things that was kinda skipped over during this season sadly. I mean they all learned new stuff. Even Emma learned a lot, which was left out of the anime as well sadly.
in all honesty. people should just be happy the anime skipped those atrocious food dedicated chapters adn characters who add nothing but gushing about japanese food.
I understand why you'd see a lot of Fate references in this episode, but am I the only one who was reminded of JJK first? It's the part where Sofia makes that separate space with the swords that makes her stronger, which is the textbook definition of Domain Expansion. (especially the skills-in-the-swords bit; which is almost exactly a certain "main" character's Domain of JJK, no?)
It´s also nearly identical to Archer´s Reality Marble (ability) "Unlimited Blade Works", one of the main characters of Fate. Skills-in-swords and all.

From what I heard, Hibiki is a very manipulative character similar to the goddess. This is opposite to how she portrays herself. I wonder how they are going to depict this aspect as it is mostly coming from Makoto's viewpoint.

hibiki is the holier than thou mary sue that cant do no wrong.
and the series shows how those people would actually act when put in those situations.

Lancer a big talker but one of the weakest greater Dragons kinda ironic and wad so confident he could kill a follower of the "sorcery" but failed at that and lost to a lich that's not even close to Tomoe strength and one of Makoto weakest pillars so sad but I heard we actually have 2 more episodes it'll be a 26 not 25 episode season also I was kinds of wondering why he didn't just destroy the space after all he undoubtedly has the power to do so.

The Goddess has no regrets in throwing Makoto away. She chooses her Heroes based on physical beauty and no other criteria. The Goddess doesn't care about how powerful they are, she gives them powers that will let them do what she expects. Heroes are just there to entertain the Goddess. If they aren't strong enough, she'll just throw more pawns to support them.
The reason Tomoki is so powerful is because the Goddess desperately wanted the pretty boy she found and used powers to lure him into the contract. The powers she gave him are absolutely busted and other gods would admonish her if they ever noticed. Though in fact, the power she gave Makoto is worse from a deitie's perspective than what Tamoki got. Tamoki's powers can literally conque the world given enough time. The true language ability Makoto got is a path towards becoming a god.
And the Goddess giving out all these gifts is normal for her. She squanders her power on frivolous things so when something happens she can't use her own power to solve anything. Because she is broke.
Tomoki isn't that strong I'm comparison to Makoto. The heroes are insane if Makoto didn't exist but because he does nothing the goddess does really matters lol
@@AHBrandonReviews nah, I think it that even if she knew Makoto's powers, she would still fuck him over one way or another. Based on some of the side stories I think her hate on Makoto goes further than just because he look ugly. Even their last conversation, looked like she took it more personally then she should have.

He's one of those characters that I couldn't just care less about. Idk why I've tried to find redeemable about the show but when the MC is as bland as this, then there's really no saving it.

A drawn, made-up character can't "prove" anything. The author proved that this is the way he wants the plot to go. That's it. Goddam clickbait titles...
The second season was underwhelming and boring. It’s was just a regular cliche isekai sadly. Main character and his team are all overpowered and everyone else is weak. A whole episode dedicated showing us how overpowered they’re when we already know that. First season was a lot better but I don’t like it here types of shows when the main character and his group suffers no challenges in fighting. They could’ve just have Sofia and lancer be beaten the first 5mins of the episode then have the last 20 or so mins with wrap up rather than dragging out a battle when the outcome was already known.
Make mc/mc group opponents scared and struggle and show off how cool and op they are. Just another Anos and rimmiru

At least in the finale of season 1 Lancer and Sofia felt like legitimate threats to Makoto's life, but here Lancer cant even beat Shiki and Sofia cant touch Makoto never mind scratch him, when last season she cut of his fingers.

i said it in the other video but the current color reminds me of something from .hack//sign and .hack//Quarantine called a "Guardian" which was this giant orange jelly dumbell with a pair of rings attatched to the center the thing was actually a murder machine though.
