  • Using of an Edding Lack Marker. This paint is 100% etch-resistant even for strong etchants and long etching times.
Resolution which can be achieved with this pen is 32mil track width with 22mil clearance. This is enough for all SMT parts and also suitable for coarse SMD Parts.
The Software to generate the GCODE from Gerber files is a Python Script I wrote myself. Feel free to contact me for further Info.
    Best regards.

I have been doing this recently. Tried first with an ultrafine Sharpie, only to find the ink doesn't survive the etch. Since then, I have gotten excellent results with a Staedtler Lumocolor 318-9 pen marker. The only issue I have is that the holes and pads don't always get done right. Since I didn't have a lot of holes and pads, I just made a sketch in Fusion 360 with just the holes and pads. I then sliced that and ran it after. It works, but that extra step is time I could use for something else. I think the issue is the slicer. I'm using Cura, since it's already what I use for 3D prints. I think if I could make it do the holes and pads before the traces, like yours apparently does, it would be better.

Did something similar but it was regular 1mm tip permanent marker for like 1.5$.
When it comes to gcode i tried many different conversions but in the end i made the board in Fusion 360 and just sliced one layer of it in Cura, this took like 2 hours but in the end it was faster than searching other solutions.
I did two passes with the marker with ~10min in between.
Worked quite well in etching(1h 5min). Minimum clearance i was able to achieve was .5mm. and trach width of 1mm. Hardest part was drilling 80 holes....
Also it was very satisfying to watch.
Please share your workflow of converting gerber to gcode.

Fusion 360 can do PCBs. It's what I use, and it's what they replaced Eagle with. It takes some getting used to though.

Под такую плату нужны очень большие микросхемы. 😆
