Only Dave can make watching paint dry cool
The more i watch him , the more i start to understand him ! LOL , all of us need help with finish repair Dave , THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR INVALUABLE TECHNIQUES!!! 👍👍👍ADDED SUBSCRIPTION...
Looks great, really great. Almost invisible. Don't you hate it when you do something so well that no one can see it? You're the best and the video proves it. Save the video 'cause the repair is...uh, is uh...invisible and no one will know. Except for it's in the video. So there. That proves it. You're the best. Yes.
Awesome work dave, thanks for taking the time to teach us hobbyists all your methods. I wish I was local to you so I could give you some work setting up my guitars and bass in return, but hopefully my views and kind words can make up for that a little. Thanks again, and I will have to put a purchase in for some of your merch to help the cause.
I have a very old Strat with dents chips and all sorts, I would never mess with it other than the usual clean-up, it's part of the guitar's mojo.
Yeah dude we wanna see more of your expertise on finish repair.
You do some nice shit. Your best vids are of finish repair.
I get it, you’re probably getting burnt out on making these vids. They seem to be getting shorter and shorter but we rely on you for your funny comments and your skilled work of electronics, luthier skills, but especially your finish skills.
It’s efing amazing how you can fix something like a damaged finish.
Thanks for being here so I can hang out
Dave, the Gluboost corporation needs to hire you to do late night infomercials. :)
thanks for the great videos. I bought glue boost after watching one of your repairs and was blown away. That stuff is awesome I was shocked by how when it wet sanded and buffed out. must have for anyone who does guitar repairs.
nice repair Dave.
Dave, you should really look into getting some 'bench cookies.' They're great for propping your work/piece off the table both securely and without starching or damaging the piece. Silverline Tools and Rockler make the best ones with non-slip rubber pads top and bottom. They even have an entire "lifting system" for them if that's what you need. I just have the cookies themselves, but I can't imagine work without them now. They're great for working on the backside of instruments like you're doing here. Just thought I'd share.
Nice work Dave .More please .
Thanks for taking the time on making this extended finish repair video.
Dave, here I thought all this time, you invented the word gooch! I tried a repair on my 814 Taylor that had a "crazing" in the finish by the saddle that opened up to bare wood.Strangely, it was about the same time you did this video. And yes, I "gooched" it. Like this Gluboost, tho...it's Fun Stuff.
The "Gooch" is that bit between your balls and asshole. That's my favourite use for the word 😉👍
Toblacco is the correct nomenclature I believe dude . I could be wrong . Hope yer doin' good Dave . Thanks for everything , wish you had t-shirts . PEACE
Everything he does with glue is magic
I blink my eyes the chip is gone
Poor bass's life before was tragic
Now the owner's love for her goes on.

Awesome intro Dave!
Dave, you almost made it through another episode without cursing but in the last 5 seconds you let one fly. Argh!
We ALL know you can do it Dave! Come on buddy, it will be SO good to see you overcome it! It's like quitting smoking. You wonder why you began in the first place! ;)

Your videos are so freaking awesome! Thanks Dave.
Glad you think so!
Can you tell me what grit is your wet and dry or sandpaper Dave after the use of black glue boost
What brand is the polish Dave we need to know the products you use
Good job Dave
Some of the places that sold Gluboost no longer sell it. It is not compatible with some poly finishes.
Nice helpful vid again. Dave do you buy that Gluboost directly from them in the US? or is there a Canadian distributor? Thanks

Solo Guitar in Canada
You can do it Dave
good job again Dave
Boss thank you
In the city where i live, Birmingham England we have a street named GOOCH st LOL.
Oh the joys of modern chemistry, eh? I wonder if Glue Boost would give me a good buzz. I guess I'll just stick with Testor's. Thanks again, Dave -
Nice 'Easy Livin' tee shirt!
great tips! Dave
I have an occasional shake. The doctor said that he could give me something for it, but that it wouldn't work any better than a glass of whiskey. It works, too :)
Whiskey sounds like the best! Steady hand and fun time 😊
I remember the Peggy Cass characterization of hapless Agnes Gooch in 1958's Auntie Mame.
Thats a Geddy Lee Jazz bass at the end of the video.. I wish he would show more of it. Since Geddy is canadian.
good stuff man
i saw the peterson strobe tuner you have its nice.i personally own a peterson model 400 that my dad gave me a long time ago.i went to go buy cigarettes while i was doing intonation on a project.i get back and it had smoked bad.my dad still bitches about how much he paid for it in 1972.i would like to ask i have a 74 sg standard and i really cant find any specs on this guitar and as far as fret care and polishing if you happen to read this i live in san antonio texas i have seen moxy with i think its russ dwarf a few years ago good show yeah im deseprate for advice take care i love your channel and dont let the gooch get ya
Hey it's not a Faberge egg in the Louvre, its a bass guitar. Looks great!
I have an MBass 4 str. jazz clone. It's a lighter burst, no bridge guard, which is fine -
The chip is on the back of the guitar so I would black magic marker that bad boy and be done with it in 30 seconds!!!
gr8 tanks
add this video on a bit higher speed for a satisfaction youtube video.
Don’t want to trigger you but that stuff is not very forgiving. It’s scary to use on lacquer because the glueboost dries harder, so you have to be really careful not to have a buildup of gluepoop.
Is that nitro?
Hey Bud, the bass is made in Japan, poly finish for sure. But don't be confused. The Gluboost products work with poly and nitro finishes. Cheers.
Can't see his face so I can pretend its George Carlin doing guitar repair work.
I found my new Bob villa.
"I realize there's a couple more..." And that is why I don't clean the flat - or the car - or anything really! 'Cos as soon as you improve one spot, it'll make all the other dirty bits so obvious !!
" Close to the edge …. Down by the river ." ???
Orion Fixr O F - seasons will pass you by !
Here in the UK we say "shaking like a shiting dog"
I have my own personal whip tip lofl
I should have said "lose your shit" lol
ZOOM IN
I realize that this has nothing to do with guitar finish, but it does have to do with being Gooched. Am I the only one who is having problems trying to purchase a Gooched coffee mug from TeeSpring? If so, is the problem solely on their end?
Much thanks
@@DavesWorldofFunStuff Sounds like a plan.
use a different finish method wheel sounds like thunderstorms buy new one
Spoiler alert: He doesn't show the results very well. Doesn't zoom in nor keep the guitar steady enough to assess the quality of the repair
Tickle the... what?
First haha what’s up my friend
Who the hell cares if you are first. Stop with this childish practice of declaring first. Grow up, man. Stop being a Douche bag.
None of this is necessary. Dings and chips add character. :)
Whatever the owner wants I guess, but Gibson and Fender have never marketed a repaired formerly naturally relic edition guitar.
Says you 🤣
Necessary if you're selling.
Gotta get me soma that
I don't speak Japanese.
I have a 2011 Mbass 4 str. Jazz bass clone (U.S. made)
peggywhite.ca is a Canadian dealer for gluboost
