Spokes suit the lines of the car surprisingly well considering it’s not a Japanese style wheel.

Huge congrats on having owned a CRX mk 2. When I upgraded mine I considered the CRZ but eventually went with a 2013 Fiesta ST Mountune MP215 as it was beefier. It's been amazing, but nevertheless Honda will have a dedicated large spot in my heart.

F-ing love CR-Zs. Saved a mates one from going to the scrap yard after it became a submarine thanks some really bad weather. The L15-Hybrid is being ditched for a K24 from a CL9 Accord. I love that all the lines on the car flow effortlessly from the front to the back and the beautiful blue colour really makes it stand out well.

Are engine swaps a headache? Not seen many options.
@@CarCleaningGuru K-series is pretty well documented and pretty much the only "good" option for more power. Otherwise a L15B7 from a Civic Turbo is a decent option too but I haven't look too hard into that one.
I'm running into a wall with the driveshafts for K-swaps seeming to be discontinued by everyone. Poking Hasport about whether they've definitely discontinued them is on my to do list as they still sell the K mounts.
Nice car bud. I have the Maxton lip, side skirts and rear defuser on my JCW mini. I think they are great value for money. Time will tell as mine has e been on roughly as long as yours. Let’s discuss in 6 months as long as a passenger doesn’t use the side skirt as a step !!!!!! Keep them coming bud.
The front is taking a bit of a beating on and off the drive but at the price it’s semi-expendable.
Has to be one of the best lookin' CR-Z's out there, certainly WILL BE the best detailed and I can't wait for the paint correction/coating video because that red will G L O W! I wouldn't be surprised to see you apply some Gyeon Wax or the TWHS ceramic/graphene wax to it even🤔💡❗️

@@CarCleaningGuru Hey Joe, thanks for replying. Thats so awesome that you’ve already seen some of my videos, thank you so much for watching! No its a fairly simple process, as its the inlet “cold side” of the motor you couple have any issues getting the fixings off. You have the egr valve on the side and the egr passages run through it. Be a good opportunity to clean them out whilst its off too, wont be too much in there being a fairly clean petrol engine. Hope this helps. 😊 Gareth

It's interesting how red colours kind of "overexpose" in lack of better words the Jpeg compression.
I get the same look when I photograph my red Beemer, looks particularly weird when the sun is shining, and the blue sky reflects, and turns some areas purple, and some red.
Yeh they look purple or orange in the sun shots bit annoying considering I almost always film in the sun 😫
I currently have a white 60 plate crz and absolutely love it! It’s economy is great and has good sporty handling characteristics too.

Welcome to the CR-Z family! Some cleaning tips for you... after washing, check under the boot near the hinges and keep dry. This area often gets over looked and will rust. I would also pop the tail lights off and see how filthy it is behind there. Super simple to remove and easy to clean.
I’ve already done the eyeliner mod so did give that area behind the clusters a wipe down 👍

The top model original first gen CR-X barely managed 130hp IIRC. I think the second gen VTEC model managed about 160hp. None of them are really fast, but they are fun & different.

Excellent choice, the CRZ. My mum has had her pearl white 2010 CRZ from new. It's been left standard of course not surprisingly! Fun little car to drive especially when you use the Sport drive setting. Reliability has been old school Honda. Bullet proof in other words. Enjoy it.
I think its dope. Super unique. Good body lines. The lip kit, side skirts, and cf wing really add a sporty element to it. Its refined but not kiddish. Kudos.
Never expected to see a CR-Z pop up on this channel. I bought one new in 2012 as my first proper new car purchase ever. Daily drove it for 5 years along with a handful of track days before ditching the hybrid drivetrain for a K-swap. Made it wayyyy more fun!
God it's amazing to think that these are already over 10 years old. I remember like it was yesterday as a teenager watching RUclips video reviews on them and being amazed how a hybrid could have a manual transmission.

You don't need a total stop kranzle. Head down to aquaspray in Warrington and malcolm will fit a remote control to it for you. I had it done. Best thing ever

I had a brand new CR-Z in 2011, 6 spd and I really enjoyed that car but when the Abarth 500 became available here...and I heard one on a cold, Chicago morning the seed was planted!
I straight piped mine and it wasn't loud at all, sounded good with a nice burble and Pypes top added. Also a K&N typhoon was added for some sound, MB Weapon in 17" and nice Conti DWS tires rounded out the package.
I added a Mugen rear view mirror cover and Honda lip extension, gave the car a unique look for sure 😉
Yeh I’m gonna do typhoon and secondary decat hoping for classic Honda induction sound with minimal rasp 👀.

Lovely looking motor now with the mods you've chosen! Not sure why but I've always had you down as being from Stoke with your accent so the seagulls and beachfront caught me off guard 😂
After years of admiring the C30 and Nismo, imagine my surprise when you show up in my exact car, color and all. The CRX and front-drive Elan were schoolboy favorites, and this seems to combine them perfectly.
Looks epic in that colour with the wheels and mods...! Those New Brighton seagulls are the worst though...

As said previously, I do like these - Hybrid is the way to go with how the world is heading. I imagine with fuel prices now, the high MPG figure will probably be a welcome change.

I wanted a black one but there’s wasn’t any clean ones up for sale at the time. Needs a bit more power ideally but nippy enough for day to day driving.

Realy vivid Honda, right there. I never were a fan, but this one looks like something i would like to own :) Also I wanted to give a suggestion about water filter, as I recently bought something called in-line water softening cartridge (unit from Auqafilter - AISTRO) and found out that it visibly reduced calcium residue while using a common garden hose. I used it on a hot evening. Water in the area as mostly hard because of calcium. this in line filter uses ion exchange-based resins. Can provide a link if interested. Manufacturer states it can filter out about 280L of water. Cheers.
