Michael Giacchino music is indescribably amazing. That is one of my favorites also. So much of the music from Lost is ingrained in my memory. When I was hiking in England, we started up this gigantic grassy hill and I thought to myself, this reminds me of something. I even heard music in my head. And then I realized it was Lost music and I was envisioning the scenes of them treking up the mountains of the island from S1. I'll never forget that moment. Edit. I can't wait for your reactions from here on out. S5 is my second favorite season, next to S1.
@@davidnaffie Maybe the problem is that I do not have $ 5 or that they ask me there or also that I do not have a credit card that is why I can not register or look at the reactions lost missing pieces
The last thing Hassan mentionned is exactly why i find Lost close to perfect! If it were in any other show we would be like "this is a small plot issue just to get some intensity in the final!/move the plot" but here we say "there is another reason we are moving that damn island" and he is actually 100% right 💪 those Ben's eyes in the last scene going up looking at the gun like "i know you can't shoot me, what are you gonna do with that dumb ass?" Always amazes me, it's brillantly played by Emerson.
I wish you would have showed the exact moment Hurley brings Sayid, who was standing alone with no one to meet him, over to his family. It’s so sweet and thoughtful and very characteristic of Hugo.
There was a much longer scene in the Blueray DVD version in the panel interview with the Oceanic 6 where Jack said that 8 of them originally survived. The other three survivors Jack mentioned was Boone, Libby, and Charlie but unfortunately as we already know; they died hence there only being 6 of them left. I’m sure Jack chose those three specific names because of personal connections and the impacts all three of their deaths had with the rest of the Oceanic Survivors. Boone and Charlie died a hero rescuing their friends and Libby was someone Hugo loved very much. Such sad deaths. 😢
The music you mentioned is actually called "There's No Place Like Home," one of my fav's from the entire series too. I feel like it shares a lot with "LAX," but it's been awhile since I listened to it. Giacchino's music is just amazing.
The way this is shot and scored, mirroring the focus on everyone in the flash forwards like with the flashbacks in the season 1 finale, this feels like the series ending instead of just the season ending. I know it’s not, but even at the time it just feels so complete and satisfying.
18:28-18:46. Thats some exceptionally underrated acting skills from Matthew Fox.. Man was torn between so many emotions at once.... Class expressions ❤
Hawaiian shirts!!!! They made me so happy xD 12:53 John: Communicating with who? 12:54 Hassan: With whoM Cracked me up so hard.Perfect. Only Audrey would make Ben proud xD Only Audrey Ben would trust.
David, I 100% agree with you that Oceanic 6 is the best of an entire series of great themes. I’ve watched the entire series 4 times on my own and you’re about the 5th group of reactors that I’ve watched. I didn’t get emotional at all when I watch by myself but I get far more emotional watching it through the eyes of someone who has never seen it. I’ve already told you that you are my favorite host of all. You know your fellow couch mates. You already know how this all ends. Will there be disappointment at the end for them?
Thanks so much, Paul. Ya know, I'm really not sure. When we first started, I thought they might be disappointed by or dislike some aspects of the show, but they've continuously surprised me. For example (spoiler alert), they are ALL-IN on the time travel aspects of Season 5. I really don't know what to expect for their reactions to the end at this point, but I'm sure looking forward to experiencing it with them.
Such an emotional score! I hope you do a LOTC episode just centered on Michael Giacchino's music. Maybe relating the pieces of music to each character, or some interviews with him, and maybe another performance by you David!
This is probably my favorite episode of the series because it has my favorite line in the series. When Ben snaps his head around in disgust and says “how many times do I have to tell you John??!! I always have a plan”
I love the scenes before the end with only the music where we see each member of the Oceanic6 in so different places. How will they be able to be reunited and escape from the island ?
I mean, it is great. As I think about it, it is mostly certainly great. Definitely the most fun! But 5 & 6 are still tops for me! The reveals in those two finales!
This isn't a big deal, or show related. But would you tell Hassan that "whom" isn't used at the end of a sentence. I.e. For whom the bell tolls. I noticed last ep he did same thing. Just figured he'd want to know.
.....SPOILERS..... I don't understand why sun blames Ben for Jin's supposed death. Martin Keamy planted the bomb and it might have been the protocol of Charles Widmore. I know Ben shot Keamy which inturn caused the detonation, but sun didn't know this. Why the hell does she feel Ben is responsible...does she feel Charles Widmore was trying to catch Ben and Jin got caught in the cross fire if not for Ben being the target may be she believes jin would have been caught in the blast, if so isn't that just victim blaming Ben?? Also what the hell was Keamy thinking?, how is rigging the boat with explosives gonna help him avoid retaliation from Ben? He should probably know Ben doesn't care about the people on the boat
One thing for sure is that it can't be for kiling Keamy as no one except Locke & Ben knows how Keamy was killed (and none of them saw Sun after Jin's death) so this information isn't releavent in the analysis. The best way i found to analyse that is to try to explain reasons she wants Ben dead by being in sun's mind and use only what she knows: she knows there is a war between Ben & Wildmore, she probably feels that Jin got killed being a cuasalty in that fight between them. Now why doesn't she blame Wildmore? Well it would make no sense for Wildmore to blow up his own boat so she deduced that it is not his fault Jin got killed and focused on Ben. That's probably the lowest plot point of this moment of the show tho so it's still a bit confusing and lame but that's all we got. When it comes to Keamy he is right: Ben doesn't like to kill innocent people, he clearly could have make the freighter explode before but he didn't (he explains it to Michael in "meet kevin Johnson").

That one, There's No Place Like Home, and Eko's theme are my two favorites. I love Desmond's but it always makes me cry😫😄

Juliet making sure Sun got on the boat. You love to see it.
I also love Hurley’s bday party scene. “Interesting choice of theme.”
“Yeah. She really doesn’t get it dude.”

My absolute favorite finale. I love when Hurley’s mom met Sayid! She’s the best! 😊
Claire's mom was in a coma & now healed. Juliet's sister healed, Kate's mom wasn't healed but still alive when she was supposed to be dead

Hits differently everytime❤❤❤
That’s funny about the subtitles, because I watched them on DVD, and it definitely said “no, we’re the survivors.”
