5:40 That's actually kind of funny, because in WW2 a American prisoner of war "Jeremiah Denton" did morse code by blinking on a Japanese broadcast. He spelled "torture". The broadcast was supposed to be propaganda about how well they treat their prisoners. The video is on youtube.

I always had a hard time watching this episode. I get such second-hand embarassment. Me and my brother always called this the "charlie crackhead episode".

I love the moment after Sawyer kills him and Juliet gives him the look, because I think one can interpret that first as Juliet being scared of Sawyer, but I think it also shows her realization of how much they've terorrized these people. Because Sawyer says "I didn't believe him" when the guy surrendered, which kinda shows how paranoid and on edge they've made the survivors, like to the point that having one of the others surrounded at gunpoint and openly surrendering but still being paranoid that it's a trick.

This for me is one of the scariest episodes of Lost. No monsters, no jumpscares, just the utterly terrifying idea that you're a slave to fate and nothing you do is your own choice. The idea that we're just puppets on strings only doing what we're supposed to do.

Oh nooooo it's the Locke episode haha, when I'm binging Lost reactions I always forget when the Locke episodes are, so they always take me by surprise and I have to mentally prepare myself for the ride lol

Wait a minute, I've been thinking about this nigerian plane, question mark and John Locke. Can you correct me if I'm wrong? The question mark marks this observation station right? So maybe Locke in the first season was supposed to find the plane because under it there was another hatch? By going there he would discover surveillance system and find out about Desmond. And maybe, just maybe, neither he nor Boone was supposed climb the plane, it wasn't important.That's why Locke couldn't walk ( island tried to tell him that what he's looking for is not up , but down). And that's because Boone died. They were supposed to search the ground under the plane! Am I a genius ;) What do you think about that theory? Ps. This show is incredible, I just finished watching it 2nd time, I follow your reactions, and I still have a lot of new questions and theories.

I mean, that moment when Henry Gale was introduced was just a game changer. It showed how great this show was gonna be.

Oh my, that episode is a pure torture to me. The tattoo episode is a masterpiece comparing to this one.Thank you because your reactions and comments really makes it watchable. I hate religious bullshit in shows, when something negative and not logical is showed as something positive and good, eg. baptism lie. Through the entire episode i was rolling my eyes so hard I could see my brain. But on the other hand, it shows really fenomenally how religion brainwash and programes people. To me Charlie's problem wasn't drugs or withdrawal but actually religion. And Audrey and her prediction at the end! Go girl! Audrey the Nostradamus <3

WOW, I just realized something and I need to ask you, if you know, if that was intentional ;) In this episode we see Jack for a few seconds passing Shannon in the hospital and in s6e06 we see Jack for a few seconds passing Sayid in the hospital. You know, Shannon and Saying are just meant to be together, and they both have hospital moments with Jack. SO, was that intentional? Do you know? PS. Keep in mind that Jack only appeared in those moments in those episodes. No coincidence in that show I'd say :D

Throughout the series Jack is the strategic leader. He makes moves and keeps people guessing. And most of his plans work. He even bested sawyer at poker. And at the end of the series also played Locke/the man in black. And the man in black was afraid of Jack because of that reason.

I know. People judge the characters based on who they like or don't. Everybody is like that. I like all of them all personally.

When I saw this episode in 2009, my head (and that of every Lost fan) exploded so hard that I still haven't been able to put all the pieces together. This must be why I need therapy these days. THANK YOU SO MUCH, JEFFREY LIEBER, DAMON LINDELOF AND J.J. ABRAMS! NOTE: I miss how we all went crazy on the Lost forums at the time and the thousands of theories.

I love this season because things happen slowly but when things go wrong, they happen very quickly and all at the same time. And everything starts to go wrong only after it is explicitly established in this wonderful dialogue between Hurley and Miles that no one is safe and that whoever dies will really die.

Oh brotha! Your ideas, curiosity or questions never "cease to amaze me" literally. Time well spent, don't regret a single minute with you guys. And I'm so happy that I just found out about you when the show is finished and I can watch reaction after reacion without waiting for a new video.
