It's even more evident now in 2021 that we certainly cannot "control nature." We must learn from what Covid 19, the storms, the freezes, the windstorms, the droughts that nature must be respected and we must change our harmful ways.....Thank you Rachel Carson for all your wisdom.

Came from LC, thank you for sharing this info there and here in your portrayal of one of my very special sheroes. Read her incredibly important book, "Silent Spring" decades ago but it's message is as important as ever. I will never use chemical weed killers, insecticides or poisons on my property. There are always other ways or tools to use to take care of problem weeds and pests. I love to see dragonflies, bumblebees and butterflies flitting about and thousands fireflies at night. We are all connected, from the smallest to the largest and we all need to be true stewards of the earth.
